This paper describes the characteristics of two methods about providing information needed for propulsion device control in train. The one is to use new way using the communication network for transmission of control information, the other is traditional way using hardwire connection. And this paper describes the communication interface technique between TCMS(Train Control and Monitoring System) and VVVF inverter system with LonWorks network adapted to SMG line 6 which has been developed. With this technique, an inertia load test carried out for the traction control environment and it is expecting a field test at SMG line 6.

This paper investigated the influence of foreign words, otherwise known as loan words, on global communication abilities of university students from two non English-speaking countries: Korea and Japan. To survey the understanding and usage of foreign words which are from English language and used frequently in daily conversation, questionnaires were administered to Korean and Japanese university students majoring in engineering who shared similar linguistic backgrounds. The results were analyzed from global communication viewpoint. Based on the results, methods for improving global communication skills in engineering education were proposed.

In previous papers [1] and [2], we proposed two improved methods protecting mobile users from active attacks[3,4] of network providers in mobile communication environment. But they were the case that mobile users were located in only home domain. In [5], we proposed protocol extending the method of [1] in case of roaming from the home domain to the remote domain. The purpose of this paper is to propose new mobile terminated protocol extending the method of [2] and analyze its security.

In this paper, we discribed characteristics of two buffer which are limited area in packet communication networks, we selected JSQ(Join the Shortest Queue) method for buffrt management and compared it with single, random methods. The blocking probabilities of massage using JSQ method is decreased about (2.5 times) in compared with that of single queue method and (0.5 times) in random selection method. This results could be used in designing packet switching communication networks.

For a company operating lots of vehicle, such as taxi companies or delivery company, a system telling the position of each vehicle is essential. Conventional methods are based on personal communication between a operator in head-office and driver at the car. Since driver cannot respond to the communication while he drives or when lie is out of car. the communication often fails. So, a system identifying and reporting the vehicle position offers groat help to those kind of company.

For Wi-Fi and IoT wireless systems, high-capacity wireless communication technology is being applied using MIMO OFDM. Because of virtu0al subcarriers in the practical MIMO OFDM system, the pilot subcarriers cannot be spaced equally. Thus, it is difficult to obtain a good mean square error (MSE) performance of the channel estimate. This paper proposes applicable methods and the newly discovered locations of pilot subcarriers in four transmitted antennas resulting in a good MSE performance with proposed optimization algorithms.

Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the effects of health science majors' communication skills on their adjustment to college life. Methods : The subjects were 336 college students majoring in health science at colleges located in Busan. The survey's questionnaire comprised 38 items, including 15 items for communication skills and 19 items for adjustment to college life. Results : In the gender-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, female students had better communication skills, with overall higher scores than male students for the understanding others and communication. In the age-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, students aged 21 to 22 showed the best communication skills, while students aged 18 to 20 exhibited the least communication skills. In terms of adjustment to college life, those aged 25 or older scored the highest, and those aged 21 to 22 scored the lowest. In the school-year-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, third- and first-year students showed the best and least communication skills, respectively. Overall, third- and fourth-year students were more adjusted at adjusting to college life than first- and second-year students. Third-year students also scored the highest in academic adjustment, whereas second-year students scored the lowest. In terms of relationships between the students' communication skills and their adjustment to college life, communication skills were positively correlated with the following subdomains: understanding of others, self-expression, and communication. Communication skills also showed a positive correlation with adjustment to the college environment, including personal-emotional adjustment. Conclusions : The present study found that communication skills did not significantly affect health science majors' adjustment to college life. However, given that communication skills are an essential factor for effective work performance and greater job satisfaction, it is recommended that colleges provide students with relevant education and experiences to help them enhance communication skills while in school.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the composition for visual character to make the process of television programs. The study can be classified as a visual communication methods into a target audiences. At the beginning of using visual character was communication method as an insufficiency of television programs. However, In recent years, television industry using visual character in many ways into television programs that it can be classified not only to developed the communication method as a function of effects, but also to changed substitute a variety of graphic pattern of visual character in television programs. As a matter of fact, this study have some implication in terms of using a visual character to making television program, therefore, the results show that different ways of using visual character into the diversity of television programs were discussed.
