의사소통 훈련 집단프로그램이 간호대학생의 대인 의사소통과 인간관계에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Communication Training Program on Communication and Interpersonal Relationships of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The present study was to examine the effects of a communication training program on nursing students' interpersonal communication and relationships. Methods: This study was quasi-experimental research using a non-equivalent pre-post design. The subjects were 40 sophomore nursing students who were divided into an experimental group of 20 members and a control group of 20 members. The communication training program consisted of 8 sessions of small group training and each session lasted 120 minutes. A pretest, posttest and follow-up test (6 months after the program was terminated) were conducted to measure Inter-personal Communication Inventory and Relationships Scale. Data was analyzed by $X^2$-test, independent t-test, paired t-test and Friedman test with SPSS. Results: The communication training program was very effective in enhancing the nursing students' communication and interpersonal abilities. Nursing students' communication ability in the experimental group, however, decreases after 6 months while there is no change in the control group. Nursing students' interpersonal relationships in the experimental group was maintained at the follow-up test. Conclusions: This study supports that a communication training program has a positive effect on improving the nursing students' communication skill and interpersonal relationships.

The Effect of Type of Communication by Physical Therapists on Patient Satisfaction and Revisit Intention

  • Purpose: This study sought to identify the effect of various types of communication by physical therapists on patient satisfaction and revisit intention. Methods: A total of 212 patients who received physical therapy in Seoul and the Gyeonggi province were surveyed on patient satisfaction and revisit intentions depending on the types of communication by physical therapists. Frequency and correlation analyses were conducted to process the data using the SPSS 22.0 program, and the AMOS 18.0 statistical package was used for confirmatory factor analysis. A structural equation modeling analysis was also performed to verify the model and the hypothesis that was set up in the present paper. Results: The survey showed that patient satisfaction correlates positively and significantly with patient-centric communication, physical factors, and spatial behavior. A significant negative correlation was also found between patient satisfaction and therapist-centered communication. Patient satisfaction positively correlated with revisit intentions. Conclusion: These results showed that there was a positive correlation between the communication of the physical therapist and the satisfaction recognized by a patient. This implies that the patient satisfaction with a physical therapist increases as the communication skills of a physical therapist improve. These findings suggest that a physical therapist must adopt patient-centric communication styles, physical factors, and spatial behavior. This study was important as it generated basic data for the formation of a therapeutic relationship through efficient and promotional communication skills. It recognizes the importance of communication between a physical therapist and a patient as the indispensable factor for interaction.

중환자실 신규 간호사의 의사소통 상황 관련 교육 요구도 조사 (A Survey on Situation-related Communication Educational Needs for Novice Intensive Care Unit Nurses)

  • Purpose : This study sought to investigate novice nurses' communication education needs in the intensive care unit (ICU) using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) and Borich's need assessment model. This study identified communication challenges in clinical settings to develop a simulation program that enhances communication competencies based on educational requirements. Methods : A descriptive research design and a self-report questionnaire were used. The latter was developed and administered to 121 novice nurses with less than one year of experience in the ICU at various university hospitals in Korea. Data were collected via the online open chatroom from June 24th to July 28th, 2023. The communication education needs were identified using descriptive statistics, t-tests, IPA, and Borich's needs assessment model. Text analysis was used to categorize the participants' communication experience. Results : The results revealed that "communication with physicians," "communication with patients," and "communication with nurse on another shift" domains contained the most substantial educational needs for novice nurses working in the intensive care units. Conclusion : The results provide fundamental data for developing and enhancing customized communication education programs for novice ICU nurses. This valuable information could help ICU nurses and educators improve new nurses' communication skills, which would ultimately contribute to the advancement of nursing education and clinical practice.

박막태양전지의 광포획 기술 현황 (Current Status in Light Trapping Technique for Thin Film Silicon Solar Cells)

  • Light trapping techniques can change the propagation direction of incident light and keep the light longer in the absorption layers of solar cells to enhance the power conversion efficiency. In thin film silicon (Si) solar cells, the thickness of absorption layer is generally not enough to absorb entire available photons because of short carrier life time, and light induced degradation effect, which can be compensated by the light trapping techniques. These techniques have been adopted as textured transparent conduction oxide (TCO) layers randomly or periodically textured, intermediate reflection layers of tandem and triple junction, and glass substrates etched by various patterning methods. We reviewed the light trapping techniques for thin film Si solar cells and mainly focused on the commercially available techniques applicable to textured TCO on patterned glass substrates. We described the characterization methods representing the light trapping effects, texturing of TCO and showed the results of multi-scale textured TCO on etched glass substrates. These methods can be used tandem and triple thin film Si solar cells to enhance photo-current and power conversion efficiency of long term stability.

  • 다양한 지능형 자동차의 통신 방법의 개발이 편안하고 안전한 정보를 전달해주고 있다. 하지만 이러한 통신 방법의 개발 또한 보안을 생각해야 한다. 지능형 자동차에서 사용될 내비게이션의 업데이트 또한 무선 업데이트 방식을 사용하는데 현재 사용하고 있는 업데이트 방식은 신뢰할만한 보안 방식이 없는 실정이다. 자동차에 사용되는 내비게이션 통신은 국가별로 다양한 방법으로 TTI 서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 우리나라의 경우에는 대부분 T-DMB를 이용하여 TPEG 방식으로 정보를 전송해주고 있다. 내비게이션 무선 업데이트에 대한 특성을 파악하고, 신뢰 할 수 있는 업데이트 정보 전송을 위해 공격 시나리오를 작성 한 뒤 그에 따른 보안 대책을 제안한다.

학습자중심 소통 강화 스페인어 수업이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Spanish Classes on Academic Achievement on Strengthening Learner-centered Communication)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 교양 스페인어 과정 속에서 의사소통을 통해 소통 강화 능력을 기르기 위하여 문제기반학습 교수 학습방법으로 학업성취도와 협동능력의 변화를 알아보고자 했다. A대학에서 2021년 9월부터 2021년 12월까지 스페인어를 교양으로 수강하는 학습자 70명을 대상으로 학습자중심 문제기반 교수방법으로 수업을 실시한 실험반과 전통적 방식으로 수업을 실시한 통제반으로 나누어 두 집단 간의 학업성취도 및 실험반의 사전사후 협동능력에 관해 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 두 집단 간의 학업성취도는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았지만 하위영역이 의사소통 영역에서로 유의미한 결과, 0.031(*p<.05)로 나타났다. 실험반의 협동능력에 관한 사전 사후 비교 결과 평균은 향상되었지만 통계적으로 유의미하지는 않았다. 그러나 문제기반학습에 있어서 협동능력은 문제해결에 도움이 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구 결과로 학습자 중심의 문제기반 학습활동은 분명히 전통적인 수업방식보다 스페인어 학습자들에게 원활한 소통을 할 수 있는 적합한 교수학습 방법임을 알 수 있다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 다양한 학습자중심 융합교수법으로 스페인어 소통 강화에 적합한 교수법 개발과 교수학습 모델 개발을 위한 지속적인 후속 연구는 21세기가 원하는 인재양성에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

부모-자녀간 의사소통과 남녀 청소년의 낙관성이 갈등대처방식에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parent-Adolescent Communication and Adolescent Optimism on Conflict-Coping Styles)

  • Objective: The main purpose of this study was to examine the direct and indirect effects of parent-adolescent communication (through adolescent optimism) on adolescent conflict-coping styles. Methods: A total of 337 high school students participated in this study. They completed questionnaires about communications with their parents and their own optimism and conflict-coping styles. Data were analyzed using t-tests, correlations, and SEM. Results: Neither father- nor mother-adolescent communication had direct effects on adolescent conflict-coping styles. However, mother-adolescent communication had an indirect effect on conflict-coping styles, mediated by adolescent optimism. Adolescents who had open communication with mothers displayed higher levels of optimism, which led to more positive conflict-coping styles. In addition, multigroup analyses revealed that there were significant gender differences in direct and indirect effects. For boys, mother-adolescent communication directly influenced adolescent conflict-coping styles; however, father-adolescent communication did not directly or indirectly affect adolescent conflict-coping styles. For girls, neither father- nor mother-adolescent communication had direct effects on conflict-coping styles; only optimism had a significant effect on conflict-coping styles. Conclusion: The findings from this study suggest that communication with mothers and fathers have different effects on adolescents' conflict-coping styles. These findings have implications for future research and practice by emphasizing the importance of parent-adolescent communication and optimism in designing conflict-coping programs for adolescents.

부-자녀 및 모-자녀 의사소통과 친구관계의 질이 중·고등학생의 행복감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parent-Adolescent Communication and Friendship Quality on Adolescent Happiness)

  • Objective: The purpose of the study was to examine the direct effects of parent-adolescent communication and its indirect effects through adolescent friendship quality on happiness among both middle and high school students. Methods: Participants in this study were 1,126 adolescents (667 middle school students and 459 high school students) in Seoul and Gyoung-gi Do. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires for adolescents, which included measures of parent-adolescent communication, friendship quality and happiness. Data were analyzed by t-tests, correlations, and SEM using SPSS 22.0 and Mplus 6.0. Results: For middle school students, father-adolescent communication had direct and indirect effects on happiness. However, mother-adolescent communication did not directly or indirectly affect adolescent happiness. Specifically, only father-adolescent communication had an significant indirect effect through friendship quality on adolescent happiness. For high school students, father-adolescent communication had direct effects on happiness, while mother-adolescent communication had significant indirect effects on adolescent happiness via friendship quality. Conclusion: This study underscores the importance of parent-adolescent communication and friendship quality in predicting adolescent happiness with differences in direct and indirect paths between middle and high school students. These findings emphasize the role of parent-adolescent communication and friendship quality in developing programs to improve the happiness of adolescents.

Pitch Contour Conversion Using Slanted Gaussian Normalization Based on Accentual Phrases

  • This paper presents methods using Gaussian normalization for converting pitch contours based on prosodic phrases along with experimental tests on the Korean database of 16 declarative sentences and the first sentences of the story of 'The Three Little Pigs'. We propose a new conversion method using Gaussian normalization to the pitch deviation of pitch contour subtracted by partial declination lines: by using partial declination lines for each accentual phrase of pitch contour, we avoid the problem that a Gaussian normalization using average values and standard deviations of intonational phrase tends to lose individual local variability and thus cannot modify individual characteristics of pitch contour from a source speaker to a target speaker. From the results of the experiments, we show that this slanted Gaussian normalization using these declination lines subtracted from pitch contour of accentual phrases can modify pitch contour more accurately than other methods using Gaussian normalization.

Basis Translation Matrix between Two Isomorphic Extension Fields via Optimal Normal Basis

  • This paper proposes a method for generating a basis translation matrix between isomorphic extension fields. To generate a basis translation matrix, we need the equality correspondence of a basis between the isomorphic extension fields. Consider an extension field $F_{p^m}$ where p is characteristic. As a brute force method, when $p^m$ is small, we can check the equality correspondence by using the minimal polynomial of a basis element; however, when $p^m$ is large, it becomes too difficult. The proposed methods are based on the fact that Type I and Type II optimal normal bases (ONBs) can be easily identified in each isomorphic extension field. The proposed methods efficiently use Type I and Type II ONBs and can generate a pair of basis translation matrices within 15 ms on Pentium 4 (3.6 GHz) when $mlog_2p$ = 160.
