A study on the interactive speech recognition mobile robot (대화형 음성인식 이동로봇에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is a study on the implementation of speech recognition mobile robot to which the interactive speech recognition techniques is applied. The speech command uttered the sentential connected word and is asserted through the wireless mic system. This speech signal transferred LPC-cepstrum and shorttime energy which are computed from the received signal on the DSP board to notebook PC. In notebook PC, DP matching technique is used for recognizer and the recognition results are transferred to the motor control unit which output pulse signals corresponding to the recognized command and drive the stepping motor. Grammar network applied to reduce the recognition speed of the recogniger, so that real time recognition is realized. The misrecognized command is revised by interface revision through the conversation with mobile robot. Therefore, user can move the mobile robot to the direction which user wants.

Empirical Modeling of Steering System for Autonomous Vehicles

  • To design an automatic steering controller with high performance for autonomous vehicle, it is necessary to have a precise model of the lateral dynamics with respect to the steering command input. This paper presents an empirical modeling of the steering system for an autonomous vehicle. The steering system here is represented by three individual transfer function models: a steering wheel actuator model from the steering command input to the steering angle of the shaft, a dynamic model between the steering angle and the yaw rate of the vehicle, and a dynamic model between the steering command and the lateral deviation of vehicle. These models are identified using frequency response data. Experiments were performed using a real vehicle. It is shown that the resulting identified models have been well fitted to the experimental data.

  • The army developed the ATCIS(Army Tactical Command Information System) for the battlefield information system with share the command control information through the realtime. The using the public key and the encryption equipment in the ATCIS is enough to the confidentiality, integrity. But, it is vulnerable about the availability with the zero day attack. In this paper, we implement the worm propagation simulation on the ATCIS infrastructure through the modelling on the ATCIS operation environment. We propose the countermeasures based on the results from the simulation.

  • This paper proposes a prototype of a safe and reliable wheelchair robot with Human Robot Interaction (HRI). Since the wheelchair users are usually the handicapped, the wheelchair robot must guarantee the safety and reliability for the motion while considering users intention, A single color CCD camera is mounted for input user´s command based on human-friendly gestures, and a ultra sonic sensor array is used for sensing external motion environment. We use face and hand directional gestures as the user´s command. By combining the user´s command with the sensed environment configuration, the planner of the wheelchair robot selects an optimal motion.   • In this paper, we propose a method of generating pitch commands for consistent initial trajectories irrelevant to flight conditions in the initial boosting phase of a thrust-vector-controlled vehicle. After shape assumption of the pitch command profile, parameters of the profile are determined in real time in order for the summit height of the trajectory to be a desired value by deriving the summit height considering thrust performance, gravity, and other flight conditions. Computer simulation results demonstrate good performance of the proposed method.

  • Input shaping is known to be a very effective tool for suppressing residual vibration without introducing any complicated sensors and feedback control. Real-time input shaping schemes necessitate a process such that the input command is discretized to deal with non-prescribed, real-time input. Thus parameters associated with input command discretization, such as time spacing and duration time, are unknowns which affect the performance of input shaping schemes, especially for small and fast XY stages. This paper investigates the effects of input command discretization parameters, such as time spacing and duration time, on the dynamic performance of XY stages subjected to real-time input shaping. An experimental system is developed which is equipped with an XY stage driven by servo-motors and real-time user command. Experiments are performed to investigate the dynamic performance of XY stage by changing these parameters and to yield a strategy to gain better performance.

  • Voice Command systems are important means of ensuring accessibility to digital devices for use in situations where both hands are not free or for people with disabilities. Interests in services using speech recognition technology have been increasing. In this study, we developed a mobile writing application using voice recognition and voice command technology which helps people create and edit documents easily. This application is characterized by the minimization of the touch on the screen and the writing of memo by voice. We have systematically designed a mode to distinguish voice writing and voice command so that the writing and execution system can be used simultaneously in one voice interface. It provides a shortcut function that can control the cursor by voice, which makes document editing as convenient as possible. This allows people to conveniently access writing applications by voice under both physical and environmental constraints.
