Systematic procedure of developing radionuclide release scenarios was established based on FEP list and Interaction Matrix for near-surface LILW repository. FEPs were screened by experts'review in terms of domestic situation and combined into scenarios on the basis of Interaction Matrix analysis. Under the assumption of design scenario, The system domain was divided into three sections: Near-field, Far-field and Biosphere. Sub-scenarios for each section were developed, and then scenarios for entire system were built up with sub-scenarios of each section. Finally, sixteen design scenarios for near-surface repository were evaluated A reference scenario and other noteworthy scenarios were selected through experts'scenario screening.
In this paper, we propose a matrix completion algorithm for Internet of Things (IoT) localization. The proposed algorithm recovers the Gram matrix of sensors by performing optimization over the Riemannian manifold of fixed-rank positive semidefinite matrices. We compute and show the closed forms of all the differentially geometric components required for applying nonlinear conjugate gradients combined with Armijo line search method. The numerical experiments show that the performance of the proposed algorithm in solving IoT localization is outstanding compared with the state-of-the-art matrix completion algorithms both in noise and noiseless scenarios.

To predict the dynamic behavior of the cylindrical liquid storage tank subjected to seismic ground motion three dimesional analysis with liquid-structure interaction must be performed, In this study a three dimensional dynamic analysis method over the frequency domain using FE-BE coupling technique which combines the efficiency of the boundary elements for liquid with the versatility of the finite shell elements for tank. The liquid region is modeled using boundary elements which can counter the sloshing effect at free surface and the structure region the tank itself is modeled using the degenerated finite shell elements. At the beginning of the procedure the equivalent mass matrix of the liquid is generated by boundary elements procedure. Then this equivalent mass matrix is combined with the mass matrix of the structure to produce the global mass matrix in the equation of the motion of fluid-structure interaction problem In order to demonstrate the accuracy and validity of the developed method the numerical results re compared with the previous studies. Finally the effects of the fluid-structure interaction on the natural frequency and dynamic response of the system are analyzed.
As a non-linear time variant system, the four-quadrant line converter of an electric multiple unit (EMU) was expressed by linear time periodic functions near an operating point and modeled by a steady-state harmonic domain matrix. The components were then combined according to the circuit connection and relations of the feedback control loops to form a complete converter model. The proposed modeling method allows the study of the amplitude of harmonic impedances to explore harmonic coupling. Moreover, the proposed method helps provide a better design for the converter controllers, as well as solves the problem in coordination operation between the EMUs and the AC supply. On-site data from an actual $CRH_2$ high-speed train were used to validate the modeling principles presented in the paper.
This paper presents a method of calculating a selective number of eigenvalues in power systems, which are rightmost, or are largest modulus. The modified Arnoldi method in conjunction with implicit shift OR-algorithm is used to calculate the rightmost eigenvalues. Algorithm requires neither a prior knowledge of the specified shifts nor the calculation of inverse matrix. The key advantage of the algorithm is its ability to converge to the wanted eigenvalues at once. The method is compared with the modified Arnoldi method combined with S-matrix transformation, where the eigenvalues having the largest modulus are to be determined. The two methods are applied to the reduced Kansai system. Convergence characteristics and performances are compared. Results show that both methods are robust and has good convergence properties. However, the implicit shift OR method is seen to be faster than the S-matrix method under the same condition.

An algorithm for computing the cubic spline interpolation coefficients for polynomials is presented in this paper. The matrix equation involved is solved analytically so that numerical inversion of the coefficient matrix is not required. For $f(t)=t^m$, a set of constants along with the degree of polynomial m are used to compute the coefficients so that they satisfy the interpolation constraints but not necessarily the derivative constraints. Then, another matrix equation is solved analytically to take care of the derivative constraints. The results are combined linearly to obtain the unique solution of the original matrix equation. This algorithm is tested and verified numerically for various examples.
A combination of Riccati transfer matrix method and finite element method is proposed for obtaining vibration frequencies of structures. This method reduces the propagation of round-off errors produced in the standard transfer matrix method and finds out the values of the frequency by Newton-Raphson method. By this technique, the number of nodes required in the regular finite element method is reduced and therefore a microcomputer may be used. Besides, no plotting of the value of the determinant versus assumed frequency is necessary. As the application of this method, some numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the accuracy as well as the capability of the proposed method for the vibration of structures.
Employing the muffin-tin-orbital theory combined with pseudo-potential concepts, we have evaluated hybridization matrix elements between R and T sites in $RT_{2}$ compounds. The matrix elements are calculated with two parameters, the interatomic distance between R and T atoms from the crystal structure data, and the expectation values of the radial distances for the radial wave functions of the ground state charge densities, which are obtained from the linearized muffin-tin orbital band method within the local density approximation. It is found that the R 4f/T 3d hybridization matrix elements decrease with an increasing atomic number from R=Ce to Gd, and that they are smaller in $RNi_{2}$ than in $RCo_{2}$, which are consistent with trends observed in recent photoemission spectroscopy experiments. It is also found that the magnitudes of the hybridization matrix elements in $RFe_{2}$ are comparable to those in $RNi_{2}$.
To study the seismic vulnerability of the composite material structure of adobe and timber, we collected and statistically analysed empirical observation samples of 542,214,937 m2 and 467,177 buildings that were significantly impacted during the 179 earthquakes that occurred in mainland China from 1976 to 2010. In multi-intensity regions, combined with numerical analysis and a probability model, a non-linear continuous regression model of the vulnerability, considering the empirical seismic damage area (number of buildings) and the ratio of seismic damage, was established. Moreover, a probability matrix model of the empirical seismic damage mean value was provided. Considering the coupling effect of the annual and seismic fortification factors, an empirical seismic vulnerability curve model was constructed in the multiple-intensity regions. A probability matrix model of the mean vulnerability index (MVI) was proposed, and was validated through the above-mentioned reconnaissance sample data. A matrix model of the MVI of the regions (19 provinces in mainland China) based on the parameter (MVI) was established.
