경사 종동력을 받는 변단면 기하 비선형 캔틸레버 기둥의 수치해석 (Geometrical Non-linear Analyses of Tapered Cantilever Column Subjected to Sub-tangential Follower Force)

  • 이 연구는 자유단에 경사 종동력을 받는 변단면 기하 비선형 캔틸레버 기둥의 수치해석에 관한 연구이다. 기둥의 단면은 휨 강성이 부재축을 따라 함수적으로 변화하는 변단면으로 선택하였다. 이러한 기둥의 정확탄성곡선을 지배하는 미분방정식을 대변형 이론을 이용하여 유도하였다. 이 미분방정식은 자유단 수직변위, 수평변위 및 회전각의 3개의 미지변수를 갖는다. 이 미분방정식을 반복법으로 수치해석하여 기둥의 미지변수와 정확탄성곡선을 산정하였다. 이 연구의 이론을 검증하기 위하여 실험실 규모의 실험을 실행하였다.

Post-buckling Behavior of Tapered Columns under a Combined Load using Differential Transformation

  • In this research, the analysis of post-buckling behavior of tapered columns has been performed under a combined load of uniformly distributed axial load along the length and concentric axial load at free end by solving the nonlinear differential equation with the differential transformation technique. The buckling load at various slopes at free end of column is calculated and the results of the analysis using the differential transformation technique is verified with those of previous studies. It is also shown through the results that the buckling load of sinusoidal tapered columns is largest, the linear is second largest, and the parabolic is small in the all ranges of slopes at free end and the deflection of parabolic tapered columns in the x coordinates is largest, the sinusoidal is second largest, and the linear is smallest in the range of slope 0 to 140 degrees at free end. However, when the range of the slope is 160 to 176 degrees at the free end, the deflection of sinusoidal tapered columns in the x coordinates is largest, the linear is second largest, and the parabolic is smallest. In addition, for the linear tapered column, the buckling load increases along with the flexural stiffness ratio. Also, for the parabolic and the sinusoidal tapered column, the buckling loads increase and decrease as the flexural ratios increase in the range of flexural stiffness ratio n = 1.0 to n = 2.0. Through this research, it is verified that the differential transformation technique can be applied to solve the nonlinear differential equation problems, such as analysis of post-buckling behavior of tapered columns. It is also expected that the differential transformation technique apply to various more complicated problems in future.

  • A two-dimensional time-domain, potential-theory-based fully nonlinear numerical wave tank (NWT) was developed by using boundary element method and the mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian (MEL) approach for free-surface node treatment. The NWT was applied to prediction of primary wave energy conversion efficiency of a bottom-mounted oscillating water column (OWC) wave power device. The nonlinear free-surface condition inside the chamber was specially devised to represent the pneumatic pressure due to airflow velocity and viscous energy loss at the chamber entrance due to wave column motion. The newly developed NWT technique was verified through comparison with given experimental results. The maximum energy extraction was estimated with various chamber-air duct volume ratios.

펌프 섬프장 흡입 조건에 따른 자유표면 보텍스 변동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Change of Free Surface Vortex according to Intake Conditions in the Pump Sump)

  • In this study the change of free surface vortex is represented at different times according to height of water and with or without curtain wall installation. The air volume fraction is investigated at each condition of water level and the influence about creation of vortex is analyzed. The height of sump intake is taken as 100mm and the water level is divided into 5 steps. The sump model is the TSJ model and the curtain wall is applied by HI standard of America. The results shows that the free surface vortex can be identified on the isotropic surface at air volume fraction 1%~5% and the vortices make an air column from the free surface to the sump intake and are created and destroyed repeatedly. In the higher water level, less air is absorbed into the intake pipe. After curtain wall installation, the suction rate of the air volume fraction is decreased by 6.7%. The result of the vortex motion according to time, works on a cycle.

  • 이 논문은 elastica형 아치의 자유진동에 관한 연구이다. Elastica형 아치의 선형은 항상 일정한 곡선길이를 갖는 후좌굴 기둥의 정확탄성곡선을 이용하였다. 이 Elastica형 아치의 곡률항을 일반아치의 자유진동을 지배하는 미분방정식에 적용하여 고유진동수 및 진동형을 산출하였다. 수치해석 예에서는 회전-회전, 회전-고정 및 고정-고정의 지점조건을 고려하였다. 회전관성이 고유진동수에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 아치의 높이비 및 세장비와 고유진동수와의 관계를 그림에 나타내었다. Elastica형 아치와 포물선형 아치의 고유진동수를 비교한 결과, elastica형 아치의 고유진동수가 포물선 아치의 고유진동수보다 매우 크게 나타나는 동적 특성을 보였다. 진동형의 전형적인 예를 그림에 나타내었다.

저잡음 CMOS 이미지 센서를 위한 10㎛ 컬럼 폭을 가지는 단일 비트 2차 델타 시그마 모듈레이터 (A Single-Bit 2nd-Order Delta-Sigma Modulator with 10-㎛ Column-Pitch for a Low Noise CMOS Image Sensor)

  • 본 논문에서는 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) 응용에 적합한 저잡음 CMOS 이미지 센서에 사용되는 컬럼-패러럴 analog-to-digital converter (ADC) 어레이를 위한 cascaded-of-integrator feedforward (CIFF) 구조의 단일 비트 2차 델타-시그마 모듈레이터를 제안하였다. 제안된 모듈레이터는 CMOS 이미지 센서에 입사된 빛의 신호에 해당하는 픽셀 출력 전압을 디지털 신호로 변환시키는 컬럼-패러럴 ADC 어레이를 위해 하나의 픽셀 폭과 동일한 10㎛ 컬럼 폭 내에 2개의 스위치드 커패시터 적분기와 단일 비트 비교기로 구현하였다. 또한, 모든 컬럼의 모듈레이터를 동시에 구동하기 위한 주변 회로인 비중첩 클록 발생기 및 바이어스 회로를 구성하였다. 제안된 델타-시그마 모듈레이터는 110nm CMOS 공정으로 구현하였으며 12kHz 대역폭에 대해 418의 oversampling ratio (OSR)로 88.1dB의 signal-to-noise-and-distortion ratio (SNDR), 88.6dB의 spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) 및 14.3비트의 effective-number-of-bits (ENOB)을 달성하였다. 델타 시그마 모듈레이터의 면적 및 전력 소비는 각각 970×10 ㎛2 및 248㎼이다.

충격하중을 받는 Euler기둥의 동적좌굴 해석 (Dynamic Instability Analysis of Euler Column under Impact Loading)

  • Explicit 직접적분법 알고리듬을 사용하여 Euler기둥의 동적 좌굴거동을 해석할 수 있는 수치해석법을 제시하였다. 평면뼈대 유한요소를 기하학적 비선형 거동과 전체좌굴의 영향을 고려할 수 있도록 보의 대변위 이론으로부터 유도하였고, central difference method를 바탕으로 해석 알고리듬을 개발하였다. 다양한 형상, 크기, 재하시간을 갖는 충격하중에 대하여 Euler기둥의 동적좌굴거동과 고유치 문제를 해석하였다. 수치해석 예제를 통하여 본 연구의 결과를 검증하였다.

Wave load resistance of high strength concrete slender column subjected to eccentric compression

  • A computer based iterative numerical procedure has been developed to analyse reinforced high strength concrete columns subjected to horizontal wave loads and eccentric vertical load by taking the material, geometrical and wave load non-linearity into account. The behaviour of the column has been assumed, to be represented by Moment-Thrust-Curvature relationship of the column cross-section. The formulated computer program predicts horizontal load versus deflection behaviour of a column up to failure. The developed numerical model has been applied to analyse several column specimens of various slenderness, structural properties and axial load ratios, tested by other researchers. The predicted values are having a better agreement with experimental results. A simplified user friendly hydrodynamic load model has been developed based on Morison equation supplemented with a wave slap term to predict the high frequency non-linear impulsive hydrodynamic loads arising from steep waves, known as ringing loads. A computer program has been formulated based on the model to obtain the wave loads and non-dimensional wave load coefficients for all discretised nodes, along the length of column from instantaneous free water surface to bottom of the column at mud level. The columns of same size and material properties but having different slenderness ratio are analysed by the developed numerical procedure for the simulated wave loads under various vertical thrust. This paper discusses the results obtained in detail and effect of slenderness in resisting wave loads under various vertical thrust.
