This study examines the teachers' perception of the school library's role and the teacher-librarian expertise that enables collaborative reading education in elementary schools. Furthermore, it develops strategies that the school library and teacher-librarians should undertake for collaborative reading education. The questionnaire was developed to survey 176 teachers in 9 elementary schools in Gyeonggi-do. As a result, the teacher's perception of the school library's role and event role perception would positively impact the expected effects of collaborative reading education intention. This study is meaningful in that suggestions are offered for collaborative reading education and where teacher-librarian expertise is placed.

Collaborative consumption was suggested as a new paradigm of consumption and business model that focuses on sharing and using resources to reduce the risks of resource depletion and environmental impact. Individual consumers carry out a role not only as users but also as providers for collaborative consumption. In the present study, the authors investigated consumers' intention to participate in collaborative consumption both as providers and users. The effects of perceived benefit of collaborative consumption, subjective norms and ease of participation on the intention to participate in collaborative consumption were analyzed. The perceptions on benefits and subjective norms were relatively high, while the perception on ease of participation was relatively low. The effects of subjective norms and ease of participation on the intention to participate in collaborative consumption were significant. The result shows that support from one's reference group and the perception on ease of participation have significant positive effects on the intent to participate in collaborative consumption. Therefore, communication strategies for developing a positive consumer attitude and a social consensus about the necessity of collaborative consumption are needed.

This study suggests basic data for the standardization of school uniform purchase by examining the statistics of purchasing practice school uniforms from information sources, purchasing methods, and consumer' perception about collaborative purchases. A survey was conducted with first grade male and female middle-school students, and their parents. A total of 344 questionnaires were returned and analyzed. The results were as follows: first, when making purchases, information sources were explained by parents, friends, senior students, or workers at uniform shops. The purchasing methods were popular brand uniforms or specialized uniform shops. Second, four factors were extracted from purchasing data for factor analysis. The factors were comfort, appearance, service, other external factors, and promotions. Third, the perception analysis and need of collaborative purchases were indicated by 90% of the students' parents, who were aware of collaborative purchase. Additionally, 71.2% answered collaborative purchase was necessary. Fourth, for future uniform purchases, 75.6% of the students answered to buy more popular brands, or products from specialized school uniform shops, while 54.4% of the parents answered positively to collaborative purchases. The results of the examination of consumer school uniform purchasing behavior will provide useful strategies for the standardization system for purchasing school uniforms.

Autonomous vehicles use onboard sensors to sense the surrounding environment. In complex autonomous driving scenarios, the detection and recognition capabilities are constrained, which may result in serious accidents. An efficient way to enhance the detection and recognition capabilities is establishing collaborations with the neighbor vehicles. However, the collaborations introduce additional challenges in terms of the data heterogeneity, communication cost, and data privacy. In this paper, a novel personalized federated learning framework is proposed for addressing the challenges and enabling efficient collaborations in autonomous driving environment. For obtaining a global model, vehicles perform local training and transmit logits to a central unit instead of the entire model, and thus the communication cost is minimized, and the data privacy is protected. Then, the inference similarity is derived for capturing the characteristics of data heterogeneity. The vehicles are divided into clusters based on the inference similarity and a weighted aggregation is performed within a cluster. Finally, the vehicles download the corresponding aggregated global model and train a personalized model which is personalized for the cluster that has similar data distribution, so that accuracy is not affected by heterogeneous data. Experimental results demonstrate significant advantages of our proposed method in improving the efficiency of collaborative perception and reducing communication cost.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the perception difference between Korean Medicine doctors, Western Medicine doctors, and functional dyspepsia (FD) patients on the 'Collaborative and Integrated Medicine (CIM)' for FD management. Methods: Between February and April 2021, 545 Korean Medicine doctors, 121 Western Medicine doctors, and 186 FD patients were invited to participate in this survey. A questionnaire was developed by both the Korean and Western Medicine doctors and consisted of questions about general perceptions of FD and perceptions of CIM for FD. Results: Responses from 424 Korean Medicine doctors, 113 Western Medicine doctors, and 153 FD patients were analyzed for the CIM of FD. Significant perceptional differences were noted between Korean Medicine doctors, Western Medicine doctors, and FD patients on the CIM for FD, including necessity, effectiveness, safety, cost, and reliability of CIM for the management of FD (p<0.001). The FD patients also more strongly supported the necessity of developing CIM for FD than did the Korean and Western Medicine doctors (p<0.001), and 87.6% of the FD patients strongly agreed or agreed with the use of CIM for FD. Conclusions: A significant perception difference was detected between Korean Medicine doctors, Western Medicine doctors, and FD patients regarding the use of CIM for FD. Patients with FD favored the necessity and were more willing to accept CIM for FD than were the doctors. Therefore, more efforts may be warranted for doctors to promote CIM for FD.

In this article, I discuss an International Collaborative Writing Course on the Internet (ICWCI) that focused on the learning effectiveness Korean EFL students (KEFLSs) perceived to be necessary to exchange with international EFL students (IEFLSs). The course development was based on an internet-based instructional module, applying widely accepted EFL theories for modern foreign language instruction: collaborative learning, process writing, project-based learning, and integrated approaches. Data from online discussion forum, mid-of-semester and end-of-semester surveys, and final oral interviews are conducted and discussed. KEFLSs and IEFLSs were questioned about (a) changes in attitude towards computers assisted language learning (CALL); (b) effect of computer background on motivation; (c) perception of their acquired writing skills; and (d) attitude towards collaborative learning. The result of this study demonstrated that the majority of ICWCI participants said they enjoyed the course, gained fruitful confidence in English communication and computer skills, and felt that they made significant progress in writing skills. In spite of positive benefits created by the ICWCI, it was found that there were some issues that are crucial to run appropriate networked collaborative courses. This study demonstrates that participants' computer skills, basic language proficiency, and local time differences are important factors to be considered when incorporating the ICWCI as these may affect the quality of online instructional courses and students' motivation toward network based collaboration interaction.

A school library is an institution that supports the school's educational objectives through various educational activities based on information resources, and teachers' perception is essential to connect resources and users. However, most studies have been conducted based on the self-perception of teacher librarians. This study aims to understand the effect of teachers' experience of library programs and cooperative classes with the school library on their perception of the school library roles and librarian teachers' professionalism. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 78 teachers at eight national and public high schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and the results were statistically analyzed using factor analysis and regression. As a result, it was found that the teachers' experiences affect their perception of the school library's roles, especially informational, educational, and cultural roles. Also, the teachers' experiences affect their perception of librarian teachers' educational support and library expertise. Based on the results, considerations in school library programs and cooperative classes were suggested to improve teachers' perception of the school library roles and librarian teachers' professionalism.

This study conducted a awareness survey of librarians by type of library. analyzed the survey results to present the rationale for establishing policies for the collaborative preservation and effective use of library materials. As a result of the analysis, the general awareness of the librarians about the collaborative preservation archive was high regardless of the characteristics of each type of library. the regional Central library was suitable as the main body of the collaborative preservation operation at the regional level.

The purpose of this study was to survey collaborate learning in early childhood settings in Korea. Specifically, the study examined whether the realities of and the teachers' perception on collaborative learning would differ in terms of the teachers' belief on constructivism. To achieve this purpose, 210 teachers of kindergartens and daycare centers in Busan completed a questionnaire developed by the authors. The teachers' belief on constructivism was rated as high, medium, and low. The ${\chi}^2$-test, one-way analysis of variance, and the Scheffe test were used to analyze the teachers' interest on and practice level of collaborate learning. As a result of this analysis, the authors observed several significant differences in the realities of and the teachers' perception on collaborative learning in terms of the teachers' belief on constructivism. We discussed the results and provided practical implications for teacher training.

The 3rd Library Development Plan raises the need to secure space through the establishment of a regional repository library as the issue of holding books is highlighted as a common problem in public libraries. The Korean Library Law Act also impose the responsibility of integrated management of local library materials on the regional representative library. Accordingly, this study aimed at Busan Metropolitan Library, which is operating a collaborative repository in earnest among regional representative libraries, and investigated the operation status of the collaborative repository and the perception of public librarians about the collaborative repository. The data necessary for the study were obtained through surveys, interviews, field surveys, and internal data analysis. Through this, the purpose of this study was to provide basic data that will help the Busan Metropolitan Library to operate the collaborative repository efficiently in the future, and at the same time, to present basic data that can be used as a reference for the operation of the collaborative repository of the representative libraries of other regions.
