Fabrication of Flexible CIGS thin film solar cells using Polyimide substrate (Polyimide 기판을 이용한 Flexible CIGS 박막 태양전지 제조)

  • In this study, we fabricated the $Cu(In,Ga)Se_2$ (CIGS) thin-film solar cells by using a polyimide substrate. The CIGS thin-film was deposited on Mo coated polyimide substrate by a 3-stage co-evaporation technique. Because the polyimide shows thermal transformation at about $400^{\circ}C$, the substrate temperature of co-evaporation process was set to below $400^{\circ}C$. Corresponding solar cell showed a conversion efficiency of 7.08 % with $V_{OC}$ of 0.58 V, $J_{SC}$ of 24.99 $mA/cm^2$ and FF of 0.49.

  • High temperature furnace such as Steam power plant and incinerator contribute considerable part of NOx generation and face urgent demand of De-NOx system. Reducing agents are necessary to use De-NOx system. In this study mixing caused by direct injection of reducing agent solution spray into flue gas duct was measured. Carbonated water was used as tracer and simulated agent because ammonia as a reducing agent is not proper to experiment. Mixing and evaporation must occur simultaneously and quickly enough to achieve desirable efficiency. To achieve that, the angle of attack of static mixer and the location is simulated and $CO_2$ concentration is measured.

  • The belt source evaporation is for the large size AMOLED devices to re-sublimate the organic film deposited on the metal plate. Using the plane source, the PL spectrum of the doped organic film has been studied for the first time. The PL peak of the pure Alq3 film was 512nm and that of the pure Rubrene was 557nm. The PL peak of the 2% Rubrene doped Alq3 film was shifted to $536{\pm}2nm$. The PL peak wavelength measured at the front surface of the film and at the back surface of the film was measured as nearly same as that the doping ratio maintains uniform within the film thickness. In conclusion, the doping control of the organic film becomes real using the belt type plate sublimation deposition.

  • A $50{\times}50{\mu}m^2$ aluminum micromirror array is fabricated using shadow evaporation process. The fabrication process is very simple with use of shadow evaporation process, and the micromirror array has a high fill-factor. The static and dynamic characteristics such as deflection angle vs. applied voltage, step response, and frequency response are measured using a contact free optical measurement technique. The downward threshold voltage was 8 V, step response time was $13.5{\mu}s$ when 32 V step voltage applied, and a resonance observed at 11kHz. The lifetime of micromirror with anti-stiction coating was tested and micromirror operated successfully over 200 million cycles of touch-down operations.

  • 동시 증발법(co-evaporation)에 의해 성장된 $CuIn_xGa_{1-x}Se_2$ (CIGS) 박막의 광학적 특성을 photoreflectance (PR) 분광법으로 연구하였다. 조성비 x는 0~1까지 변화시켰다. 시료의 두께는 약 2.2 ${\mu}m$였다. PR 측정은 변조빔 세기, 변조빔 주파수 및 온도의 함수로 조사하였다. PR 스펙트럼으로부터 조성비 x가 증가함에따라 시료의 띠간격 에너지가 증가하는 것을 관측하였다. 상온 PR 스펙트럼으로부터 시료내에 형성된 내부 전기장을 구하였다. 그리고 변조빔 세기의 증가에 따른 PR 신호의 세기는 점차 증가하는 반면에, 변조 주파수를 증가시킴에 따라 신호의 세기가 점차 감소함을 보였다. PR 신호의 온도 의존성 실험으로부터 띠간격 에너지의 변화 및 Varshni 계수 등을 구하여 CIGS 시료의 특성을 조사하였다.

  • To demonstrate the effect of formulation conditions on the controlled release of protein from poly(lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA) microspheres for use as a parenteral drug carrier, ovalbumin (OVA) microspheres were prepared using the W/O/W multiple emulsion solvent evaporation and extraction method. Methylene chloride or ethyl acetate was applied as an organic phase and poly(vinyl alcohol) as a secondary emulsion stabilizer. Low loading efficiencies of less than 20% were observed and the in vitro release of OVA showed a burst effect in all batches of different microspheres, followed by a gradual release over the next 6 weeks. Formulation processes affected the size and morphology, drug content, and the controlled release of OVA from PLGA microspheres.

  • We describe methods for depositing high temperature superconducting films on textured metal tapes by reactive co-evaporation (RCE). We discuss how RCE can be used to deposit on moving tape in a continuous fashion in a Garching-style process. Results are presented on films deposited by RCE at Los Alamos on IBAD-MgO textured tapes. The performance achieved, attaining over 500A/cm-width in self-field at 75.5 K, is competitive with the best results obtained by other processes for coated conductors. Tape production throughput is critical for the economics of the process and high deposition rates achieved in RCE are attractive for this. We present a detailed cost analysis model for HTS deposition using an RCE Garching process. The results indicate that HTS deposition can cost $<$5/kA{\cdot}m$ in a scaled up manufacturing environment.
