  • We present a survey for finding hidden star clusters using the WISE data. There are more than two thousand star clusters in the current catalogs of star clusters in the Milky Way Galaxy. However, there are still numerous star clusters remaining to be discovered, especially, along the Milky Way. The WISE, NIR to MIR all sky survey, is an efficient source to find star clusters obscured by dust along the Milky Way. Taking the advantage of the power of WISE, we survey a wide area at ${\mid}l{\mid}<30^{\circ}$ and ${\mid}b{\mid}<6^{\circ}$, toward to the central region of the Milky Way to find new star clusters. To find cluster candidates, we used two kinds of method: the visual inspection and the brightness density investigation. We will report the progress of this survey.

  • The A2199 supercluster at z=0.03 is one of the most massive system in nearby universe. In this supercluster, A2199 is kinematically connected to A2197 and several infalling galaxy groups. Thanks to a high-density environment and complex structures around A2199, this supercluster is an excellent laboratory for studying galaxy evolution. We determine the membership of galaxies in the supercluster using radial velocities of galaxies drawn from the SDSS spectroscopic DR7 data. We present an infrared view of this supercluster using AKARI and WISE data. We compare spatial distributions between early- and late-type galaxies, and also AGNs and star-forming galaxies. We also investigate how local and cluster-scale environments affect galaxy properties, such as IR-properties, star formation rates, and morphology transformations.

  • From the gaussian, near scale-invariant density perturbations observed in the CMB to the late time clustering of galaxies, CDM provides a minimal theoretical explanation for a variety of cosmological data. However accepting this explanation, requires that we include within our cosmic ontology a vacuum energy that is ~122 orders of magnitude lower than QM predictions, or alternatively a new scalar field (dark energy) that has negative pressure. Alternatively, modifications to Einstein's General Relativity have been proposed as a model for cosmic acceleration. Recently there have been many works attempting to test for modified gravity using the large scale clustering of galaxies, ISW, cluster abundance, RSD, 21cm observations, and weak lensing. In this work, we compare various modified gravity models using cosmic shear data from the Deep Lens Survey as well as data from CMB, SNe Ia, and BAO. We use the Bayesian Evidence to quantify the comparison robustly, which naturally penalizes complex models with weak data support. In this poster we present our methodology and preliminary constraints on f(R) gravity.

  • Recently there has been increase in need for high precision and high speed machining due to economic and environmental reasons. It is a very important issue that determines the optimal preload that is to be applied to bearings in order to satisfy the performance required in bearings according to its operation conditions. This study introduces a variable preload device that can automatically adjust the preload applied in a machine tool spindle using centrifugal force as opposed in existing rubber instrument. In this study, the deformation of the rubber device by the centrifugal force is analyzed and it is discussed that the proposed device can be worked properly through changes of the collar density.

  • Cathode materials for the polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell was prepared by electropoly-merization of aniline at carbon paper in the presence of copper tetrasulfonato-phthalocyanine (CuTsPc) and their electrocatalytic behavior was studied. The amount of polyaniline and CuTsPc in the carbon paper was determined by UV spectroscopy of residual solution in electrochemical cell. The redox process of the prepared electrodes was investigated with cyclic voltammetry. The highest reversible current density was observed at the electrode that contains 27.6 wt% of polyaniline and 19.7 wt% of CuTsPc. The morphology of composite electrode from SEM showed the presence of large cluster of polyaniline with CuTsPc, which should be more finely interpenetrated into macropores of carbon for the better electrocatalytic activity.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) technology of routing protocol. The MANET has a mobility formation of mobile nodes in the wireless networks. Wireless network have two types architecture: the Tree based multicast and shared tree based. The two kind's architecture of general wireless networks have difficult to solve the problems existing in the network, such as connectivity, safety, and reliability. For this purpose, as using that ADDMRP (Ad hoc network Doppler effect-based for Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol), this study gives the following suggestion for new topology through network durability and Omni-directional information. The proposed architectures have considered the mobility location, mobility time, density, velocity and simultaneous using node by Doppler effects and improved the performance.

  • The polyacene materials prepared from phenol resine at relatively low temperature(550~75$0^{\circ}C$) show a highly Li-doped state up to $C_2$Li state without liberation of Li cluster. We prepared each polyacenic materials various temperature and investigated electrochemical property. We tried to change the mole ratio of [H]/[C] that was 0.24~0.4 range and finally found that the further discussion of improvements of battery materials. The X-ray structural analyses have shown that this material is essentiallly amorphous with loose structure in molecular size order. This structure ensures that the PAS battery has both reliability on repetitive doping-undoping processes and higher energy density than other batteries. The PAS electrode has been confirmed to show good stability and reversibility.
