초등학생의 교복착용 여부에 따른 피복비 및 피복관리행동 연구 -대구시를 중심으로- (A Study on Clothing Payment and Management Behavior according to the occasion of Elementary Students Wearing Uniform)

  • The purpose of the research is to investigate the payment for clothing and clothing management behavior of the elementary school student children, and to study if there is any specific preference toward clothing according to whether or not they wear school uniform. 403 mothers of two elementary school students in Taegu were selected for this study. 1. There is no difference in the times of purchasing clothing between uniform group and nonuniform group. 2. Compared with their money earning, uniform wearing group more money in their clothing purchasing nonuniform group paid less money regardless of their earning. 3. There is a significant of laundry practices in nonuniform group compared with uniform group. 4. According to the inquiry of the clothing concept between uniform group and nonuniform group, uniform group showed higher satisfaction with their uniform than nonuniform group with their nonuniform. 5. Uniform group showed high positive view on the uniform, and both groups showed partial positive view on the nonuniform. There was a positive correlation among clothing payment, clothing management behavior, and clothing dynamics of both groups.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences of attitudinal body image and clothing behavior according to the body cathexis. The data were collected via a self-administered questionnaire from 419 male and female college students in Jechon and analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, t-test and regression. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Male students were more satisfied with their body than female students. Also it was found that height influenced to the body cathexis only to male students. 2. Attitudinal body image and clothing behavior classified into four factors. 3. Male and female students classified into satisfied and unsatisfied group and each group showed different attitudinal body image and clothing behavior. 4. Different attitudinal body images affected to the clothing behavior according to body cathexis and gender.

Self-concept of High School Girls in Relation to Their Clothing Selection Behavior

  • This study aims to figure out the levels of self-concept, to reveal the aspects of clothing selection behavior, and to clarify the relation of self-concept to clothing selection behavior in high school girls. Questionnaire was used to collect data. The subjects were made up of 298 second-grade high school girls from four parts in Taegu. The findings of this study are as follows : 1. The level of physical self, personal self, family self, and social self of high school girls are shown as above average. 2. In general trend of their clothing selection behavior, the scores related to practicality, economy, exhibitionism except fashionability are shown as high. 3. It seems that high school girls have a tendency to firstly weigh exhibitionism, and then economy, practicality, fashionability are followed one after another. 4. Physical self is shown as significantly different in fashionability, exhibitionism among clothing selection behavior.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of environmentally conscious consumer behavior, and to identify the influencing variables and causal relationship. Data were collected from questionnaires with 275 housewives who were residents of Seoul and Kyunggi-do. The major findings were as follows : (1) The level of environmentally conscious behavior differed significantly according to occupation, income, averaged monthly clothing expenses, residence type and residential area. (2) The consumer's clothing behavior related to the environmental consciousness differed significantly according to age, education, matrimonial status, income, average monthly clothing expenses, residence type and residential area. (3) The use of mass media differed significantly in the consumer's environmental consciousness.

의복선택요인과 욕구와의 상관성에 관한 연구 -여대생을 중심으로- (A Study on the Relationship between Needs and Factors of Clothing Selection)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between needs and factors of clothing Selection. 400 women students from 4 universities and colleges in Seoul were selected and tested. And Hwang Jeongkyu's Needs inventory test sheets for need inventory test and the questionnaire based on Lee Eunju's study for factors of clothing selection were given to the sample. The test data was computerized to get the relationship. The results are as follows: (I) Behavior of clothing selection according to expression of individuality correlated significantly with achievement, aggression, dominance, emotionality, exhibitionism, sex, and autonomy at the .01 level. (2) Behavior of clothing selection according to utility correlated significantly with abasement, and affiliation at the .01 level. and with emotionality at the .05 level, (3) Behavior of clothing selection according to economy correlated significantly with abasement, affiliation, dominance, emotionality, and exhibitionism at the .05 level, and with achievement at the .01 level. (4) Behavior of clothing selection according to modesty correlated significantly with abasement, exhibitionism, and sex at the .01 level. (5) Behavior of clothing selection according to conformity correlated significantly with abasement, emotionality, and autonomy at the .01 level, and with dominance at the .05 level.

초등학교 아동의 성역할 정체감 및 가정환경변인에 따른 의복행동연구 (A Study on the Clothing Behavior of Elementary School Students in Connection with Sex-Role Identity and Home Enviornments)

  • Clothing is considered as a means of self-projection in the childhood and children show clear preference on their own favorite clothing on which their latent identity is reflected. Changing sex-role identity, in particular, in the modern complex society specially affects the clothing behavior of children. The purpose of this study is to investigate the clothing behavior of children in conjunction with sen-role identity and home environment variables. This study will provide fundamental information on the clothing behavior in the childhood and be of help in selecting appropriate clothing in accordance with the variation of sex-role identity. Necessary information for this study was obtained through a questionaire. 'Bem sex-role identity inventory' was used to investigate the effect of sex-role identity and the clothing behavior was studied in conjunction with the factors of conformity, dependence, aesthetics and interest. The subjects of investigation are composed of three hundred male and female elementary school students in the 5th and 6th grades. For the statistical analysis of the collected data, percentage(%), mean value(M), standard deviation(SD) and Pearson's correlation coefficient were calculated and t-test, $x^2$-test, and Duncan's multiple range test were performed. The results form this study are as follows : 1. Sex-role identity shows a little difference according to gender, order of a birth and standard of living. This small difference is shown to be statistically insignificant. 2. In clothing behavior in connection with the sex-role identity, statistically significant trend was not found in typical sex-role identity group. However, clothing behavior in modernistic sex-role identity group exhibits statistically significant results in the factors of dependence, aesthetics and interest at the level of P<.001. 3. As concerns the clothing behavior in connection with gender, boy students show statistically more significant tendency in aesthetics and interest than girls do. However, boy students show statistically more significant tendency in aesthetics than girls do in connection with the standard of living. Although the clothing behavior associated with the level of parents education, mother's age and existence of mother's job shows a little difference in mean values, statistically significant trend was not detected. 4. Clothing behavior of the children shows a meaningful correlation between the factors. 5. Through 3-dimensional variables analysis, it is found that there is no mutual interaction between gender, sex-role identity and standard of living on the clothing behavior. The results from MCA supplementary analysis reveal that there is difference according to the gender, sex-role identity and standard of living.

결혼적응도에 따른 의복행동에 관한 조사연구 -가정 주부를 중심으로- (A Study on the Clothing Behavior of Home makers Related to Their Marital Adjustments)

  • The puropose of this study was to investigate the relationships between four aspects of clothing behavior ana marital adjustment. Marital adjustment was measured with the Spaniel's Marital Adjustment Scale. The questionnaire measuring clothing behavior consisted of items designed to assess dressing for self, dressing for others, self-concept regarding clothing and dependence in clothing. This questionnaire was selected and revised from inventories of such researchers as Pasnak, Sin, Lee, Park and Creekmore. This questionnaire was administered to 269 home makers in Seoul. Statistical analyses utilized in this study included correlation coefficients and $X^2$ test. The results were as followes: 1. Marital adjustment showed significant and positive relationships with dressing for self, dressing for others, ana self-concept regarding clothing. 2. Marital adjustment was negatively correlated to dependence in clothing.

과시소비성향과 정장 수입브랜드선호에 따른 의복구매행동에 관한 연구 (Clothing Purchasing Behavior by Conspicuous Consumption and Imported-Brand Preferences)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine conspicuous consuming tendency and imported-brand preferences based on purchasing behavior of clothing. 464 women living in Seoul were collected for this study. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range teats, and $X^2-test$ were used. As the result, five factors in conspicuous consumption are generated from the factor analysis. Consumers with high conspicuous consumption prefer imported-brand clothing. According to the levels of conspicuous consumption, purchasing behaviors of clothing are significantly different in information usages, clothing selection evaluations, patronage store types, purchasing frequencies, and seasonal clothing expenditure. Finally, clothing purchasing behaviors are significantly different by imported-brand clothing preference in information usages, clothing selection standards, and patronage store types.

소비자의 감각추구경향 의복구매욕구와 의복구매행동의 관계연구 (Relationships among the Consumer's Sensation Seeking Tendency, Needs of Clothing Purchase and Clothing Purchase Behavior)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among the consumer's sensation seeking tendency needs of clothing purchase and clothing purchase behavior. The date were obtained from 461 female university students career women and housewives using questionnaire. Consumers were classified into low and high sensation seeking tendency groups. These two groups showed partially significant difference in the needs of clothing purchase. Consumers with higher sensation seeking tendency had higher tendency of impulse buying. And they were likely to show the pleasure dimension of needs of clothing purchase and the pleasure seeking and the time seeking factors of shopping behavior Also they had higher purchase frequency of clothing than those who had lower sensation seeking tendency. Consumers with lower sensation seeking tendency placed more importance on the utilitarian dimension of the needs of clothing purchase and the price and quality of products in shopping.

  • So many patterns of the clothing give the specific indication for one's clothing behavior and present the common style for the society. Human being gives the one's free expression and attempts to change the existing cultural environment by the clothing even though human being would be restricted in choosing the clothing within the category of the society & the culture. The value of human being which attempts to escape the restriction through the behavior theory of T. Parsons is analysed and studied. The role of the modern society is being transformed and human being attempts to express one's self through the clothing very strongly. The clothing behavior means the expression of oneself for others. This phenomenon comes from the changing of human being's view of value through the social & cultural environment which give human being the freedom of the individual to choose the various clothing.
