  • The purpose of this study is to suggest one of teaching methods through developing a new guideline of the teaching-learning applied the Problem-Based Learning which is derived from the Constructionism. And then we apply this guideline to the class of Home Economics. especially the unit of the Consumption life for investigating the effect of this method in the aspect of improving man-power development as a consumer The results of this study are summarized as follows : First. the class applied a new method of Problem-Based Learning turn out to be more improved in the aspect of consumer consciousness than the untested class going through explanation-based teaching(P< .01). This is, the former result more positive than the latter because the former could be given chances to handle faced problems in class. Second there is no significant difference between the tested class and the untested class in the aspect of consumer skill. This is the fact that the research was conducted in a short Period of time and that the researcher failed to show the suitable stimulation or materials. even though the researcher was well aware of what Problem-Based Learning is. Third students\` evaluation after the test indicates that the tested class not only increase interest in home economics but also help them to take an active Part in class as the main of the class. and that the learning atmosphere is improved and that the effect of learning was also enhanced. Although the aspect of consumer skill is not statistically significant. the result show that adolescents try to Practice their learning from the class in their life.

  • In this paper, we study the effect of writing activity as mathematical communication on the students's mathematics achievement, learning attitude, and mathematical tendency. For this purpose, we construct a experimental class and then analyze the students' change in those aspects after applying three-divided-note writing activity and colleague feedback on their works those students are in the experimental class. As a result of the experiment, we find that three-divided-note writing activity and colleague feedback made some significant changes on the students achievement in mathematics, learning attitude, but does not affect on mathematical tendency. We also offer some suggestions for further research. Firstly, the mathematical communication ability must be stressed in mathematics education. For this purpose, we need to develop the teaching and the evaluation method to use not only writing but also reading, speaking, and listening skills so that many teachers can apply this method easily to their classes. Second, we need to fix some realistic problems such as fair evaluation , the numbers of students per class, the numbers of lesson, and too much extra-work, and so on. Thirdly, we suggest to explore some methods for extending three- divided-note writing activity to evaluate mathematical essay and to study educational effects of colleague feedback on mathematics performance assessment.

  • This study analyzed the change in the rater reliability based on the student's practice evaluation process conducted at Yonsei University College of Dentistry. Through this, we suggest the significance of the rater calibration training in the student's practical evaluation of dental college. Nine professors from the department of Conservative Dentistry, Yonsei University College of Dentistry, analyzed the results of class II restoration cases twice in 2017 and once in 2018. Intra Class Correlation (ICC) which is a statistic used to determine the consistency of raters with three or more scores, was also calculated. ICC values increased as raters participated in rater calibration meetings and grading experiences. This shows that the rater reliability is related to the grading experience and feedback from calibration meeting. Based on the results of previous studies that grading experiences and rater calibration training can cause a meaningful change in rater behavior, we propose to conduct rater calibration training to ensure the evaluator reliability.

  • Based upon three level approximation and the steepest descent path(SDP) method, we consider an optimum choice of approximation path for derivation of new class of closed-flrm Green's functions which can lead to the analytic evaluation of MoM(Method of Moment) matrix elements. It is observed that the present method can give more accurate evaluation of the spatial Green's functions than the previous method, even without the advance investigation of the spectral functions, over a wide frequency range. In order to check the validity of the present method, some numerical results are presented.

  • This paper aims to explore instructional design of a cyber classroom for secondary students' basic English language competence. A paucity of support for low or under achieving students' English learning exists particularly at the secondary level. In order to bridge the gap, there has been demand for online educational resources considered to be an effective tool in improving students' self-directed learning and motivation. This study employs a comprehensive approach to instructional design for the asynchronous cyber classroom with the underlying premise that different learning theories can be applied in a complementary manner to serve different pedagogical purposes best. Gagné's conditions of learning theory, Bruner's constructivist theory, Carroll's minimalist theory, and Vygotsky's social cognitive development theory serve as the basis for designing instruction and selecting appropriate media. The ADDIE model is used to develop online teaching and learning materials. Twenty-five key grammatical features were selected through the analysis of the national curriculum of English, being grouped into five units. Each feature is covered in one cyber asynchronous class. An Integration Class is given at the end of every five classes for synthesis, where students can practice grammatical features in a communicative context. Related theories, pedagogical practices, and practical web-design strategies for cyber Basic English classes are discussed with suggestions for research, practice and policy to support self-directed learning through a cyber class.
