  • Binding the object-oriented programming language C++ with a database management system provides a persistency to C++ programming objects so that objects can persist after program termina~,on. In such a binding system, we can manage a persistent object same as that we use a transient object and also use database management facilities such as transaction management and concurrency control. This paper presents a method providing the persistency to C++ programming objects in the binding system. We propose an improved interface based on C++ binding of ODMG-97 and present the design and implementation technique of it. The proposed interface provides a seamless interface for creating objects of the persistent capable class. We can create a persistent object without its class name as we do not give a class name when creating a transient object. Also, we guarantee the type compatibilty between the obiect created in database and the obiect created in main memory.

  • Softswitch is the core BcN equipment which voice and multimedia switching based on the IP Technologies. It is designed to replace the Class 5(local Exchange) and Class 4(Toll Exchange) switch based on the circuit wired and wireless switching network technologies. Softswitch gets its name because typically it is a software based solution implemented on general purpose computers/servers. While the traditional PSTN switches are rely on dedicated facilities for T and S inter-connection and are designed primarily for voice communications. Packet based Softswitch is divided the control of call and bearer, very different from Public telephone network. Sometimes Call Agent or Media Gateway Controller, a key component in the VoIP solution, is also called Softswitch. This paper will suggest the software architecture of softswitch for performance in call processing part, also suggest the session management model to cover call setup latency.

  • In the latter half of the 1980's, Systematical Western Archival Science theory was introduced in Japan especially, provenance principle which is fundamental theory in arrangement, original order principle and understanding in level of archives groups. However, they just confirmed public records arrangement theory having done in each Prefectural Archives(文書館) in Japan since 1960's and embodied it. Among them, National Archives of Japan(國立公文書館) just followed arrangement method each ministry and office did. And Saitama Prefectural Archives(琦玉縣立文書館) grasped changes of the name of department, class, standard by class and organization and its affairs before public records arrangement. On the one hand, Japan Center for Asian Historical Records(JACAR: アジア歷史資料セン夕-) is attending on public records by web which National Archives of Japan. The Diplomatic Record Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs(外務省外交史料館). The National Institute for Defense Studies(NIDS : 防衛廳防衛硏究所) have. JACAR arranged the public records based on provenance principle following arrangement system they have.

  • Purpose - This study investigated the effects of lectures in the English medium (EML) on understanding and learning outcomes. Sixty percent of EML lectures in Korea also use Korean for further support. Thus, this situation needs to clearly distinguish the specific impacts of the EML classes on learning outcomes. Here, we use the same English materials, including PowerPoint slides and video content, given in the Korean and English lectures. The difference between the lectures becomes only whether the lecture is delivered in Korean or English. Thus, we can clearly identify whether the language difference makes any difference in learning outcomes. Research design, data, and methodology - Our sample consisted of 91 students taking an international business course the spring of 2015. All course materials, including textbooks, PowerPoint slides, exams, video, and support content, were presented in English. Survey data and exam results were used. Students filled out their student identification number and name, so we could match the surveys against the exam results. Results - First, results show that whether the lecture was delivered in English or Korean was an important factor when students chose the class. Second, English proficiency related to international business and general English levels were higher in the English class than in the Korean class. However, the understanding of key concepts and reading abilities of international business newspapers were the same for students in both classes. Third, teaching materials and lectures were the most important material for the understanding of key concepts in the business major. Fourth, the exam results showed no difference in performance of the students in the English versus the Korean class. This shows that EML classes were not necessarily detrimental to the understanding of major concepts of the lecture. Thus, it is important that researchers carefully design empirical settings to study the effectiveness of EML. Conclusions - The English lecture can be as helpful for enhancing knowledge in the business major as the Korean lecture. For further research, various English lecture forms can be considered to distinguish the effects of the English lecture.

  • "Sanghanjeonsaengjip(傷寒全生集)" is a classic medical work, written by the outstanding physician Dohwa(陶華) in the Ming Dynasty. The characteristic of "SangHanJeonSaengJip" is that this book succeeded to the spirit of pattern identification and treatment of Treatise on Cold Damage Diseases, newly changed a table of contents by symptoms, and together with this indicated the prescriptions in accordance with diswase-pattern at "YujeunghwalInseo(類證活人書)", "Hwajegookbang(和劑局方)" etc. Also because this kept the existing ephedra decoction, cinnamom twig decoction, minor decoction of bupleurum, decoction for reinforcing middle-energizer and replenishing qi etc.'s name on and unlikely indicated the medicine composition, it caused confusion, but at the later ages "Euhakipmun(醫學入門)" the so-called 'Doci(陶氏)' was added to the prescription name, so we are able to distinguish. Together with this, this book dose not indicate the dosage of medicine and indicates the first, the second, and the third classes[上中下] below medicine. As this dose not mean the three grades of quality"good, fair, and poor[上中下] of "Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica" but expresses the sovereign medicinal as the first class[上], minister medicinal as the second class[中] and assistant and courier medicinal as the third class[下], doctors can voluntarily decide the dosage of medicine in accordance with the degree of disease. At this thesis, I single out ten chapters in contents of 2nd volume named Hyeong(亨) corresponding to the details, among "Sanghanjeonsaengjip(傷寒全生集)". I discussed superficial fever types of exogenous febrile disease in chapter 1, aversion to cold types of exogenous febrile disease in chapter 2, syndrome caused un-sufficient sweating in chapter 3, organic fever types of exogenous febrile disease in chapter 4, aversion to wind types of exogenous febrile disease in chapter 5, Tidal fever types of exogenous febrile disease in chapter 6, Alternative attacts of chills and fever in chapter 7, Dysphoria with smothery sensation in chapter 8, Fidgetiness of exogenous febrile disease in chapter 9, and Headache of exogenous febrile disease in chapter 10, and together with this I discussed, in detail, which influence the prescriptions which are listed on each chapter have caused on future generations In accordance with this, I think that the above-mentioned symptoms and prescriptions are important when I research cold damage and warm disease study. So I orderly research revision, annotation, rendering and an investigation.

  • Mountains have significant influences on the atmospheric environment. The Korean Peninsula consists of approximately 70% mountainous area with numerous mountain ranges and peaks. The initial classification of mountains in Korea was made by a Japanese scientist from 1900 to 1902. In fact, the Japanese study created too many names of mountains to maintain, which led to confusions. The purpose of this study aims to simplify the previous names and classification of mountains in the Korean Peninsula so that they can be utilized for educational and general purpose of the society and educational institutions. Through this study, we name various mountains as one name "Korea Mountains" which is classified as the secondary world-mountain class stretching from the Korean Peninsula to northeast China (southern Manchuria). The Korea Mountains connect the third class regional medium-scale mountains of Jirin, Hamkyoung, Taebaek, and the fourth mountain class, 8 small-scale ranges including the Liaoning, Yaenbaen, Hambeuk, Pyoungbeuk, Whanghae, Charyoung, Kyoungsang and Namhae Mountains. The major mountains in the Korean Peninsula are normally influenced by the general circulation of the atmosphere of the world. The atmospheric conditions are modified on the up-stream and down-stream sides; there is a need for continuous monitoring of the atmospheric environment which impacts the ecosystem and human society.
