The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of an integrative art therapy program for marriage migrant women to improve self-efficacy, learn conflict resolution strategies, and establish close family relationship. The participants of the program were limited to marriage migrant women residing in A City who lived in Korea for more than two years. 30 women for the experimental group and 31 women for the control group were randomly sampled. Eight sessions were offered. A pre-test was conducted in the first session and a post-test was done one month after the program was finished. The results of the program suggested that the experimental group had a higher effect on self-efficacy and conflict resolution strategies than the control group. The integrative art therapy program for marriage migrant women conducted in this study aims for marriage migrant women to recover confidence and actively establish happy marital and family relationship by providing an opportunity to make success experience. Moreover, the program is intended to be applied to the field to build up the foundation of family and social adjustment in marriage migrant women.
The purpose of this study was to examine the status and science teachers' perceptions of classes for those gifted in science in elementary school. For this purpose, a number of questions were posed to teachers : 27-item-questionnaires were given to 38 teachers of students gifted in science in elementary schools located in Incheon province. The results of this study were as follows : 1. most elementary teachers were in charge of classes containing students gifted in science, but this was the case with only a few secondary teachers. Therefore, it appears to be more necessary to educate elementary teachers who majored in science content and gifted education. 2. In addition, most teachers had positive perceptions of the needs, attitudes and environments needed for gifted education. Most of them attended 60-hour training programs on gifted education. They thought that it was helpful in understanding the characteristics of gifted students, but they wanted to learn more about actual pedagogical methods through such programs. 3. The teaching methods used in classes for those gifted in science were mainly experimental activities, but there were few opportunities for creative problem solving and project learning. This may be due to limited class time of about one hour every two weeks in this class. 4. When the materials used in class were first developed, they mainly used materials made by the city board of education and selected the theme of interest by themselves. Therefore, there may be problems of duplication of materials or systems regarding the science contents for one year. 5. Furthermore, the themes of the materials used were mostly related in terms of the contents of textbooks than more generally. When planning and managing the classes for those gifted in science, the above points should be considered in order to improve the education of those students gifted in science.

The industrial community in a metropolis has played an essential role to keep business in a large city. This paper aims to analyze the realities of trade network among enterprises at Buksungro Tools Commercial Cooperative in Daegu. The urban style industrial community is found at Buksungro in Daegu. There are more than one hundred small-sized enterprises. Major trades among enterprises are occurred within and/or by the area. The long-term trade networks within the Buksungro Tools Commercial Cooperative have played the key role to maintain the industrial community. The trade relationship has depended on business networks based on social capital rather than commercial mechanism. The trade networks have been established through credit transactions as well as handling troublesome orders. The trade networks help to transfer technology and to learn the tacit knowledge among firms. The long-term trade networks are more influenced by the social accessibility than spatial accessibility.

Since the 21st century a free-form building has been noticeably constructed. Now the definition "the monumental architecture is a free-form one." has come to be established. As a free-form building became a landmark of the city and a factor rising a value of the building all around the world, it is currently required to consider a more efficient design process. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of SW education applying design thinking on the creativity of elementary school pre-service teachers. We conducted research on 22 elementary school pre-service teachers who applied for a lecture on elementary computer education at a university in Jeju city. The pre-service teachers who did not have basic understanding of SW education and basic knowledge about scratch program which is an EPL tool for research. Therefore, we had time to learn the basic education of SW education and the basic functions of the scratch program over 18 periods before the pre-test of creativity. After conducting pre-test of creativity and conducting SW education applying design thinking over 21 hours, we conducted post-test of creativity. As a creativity test tool, TTCT pattern test forms A and B of Torrance were used. As a result of the verification, it was found that SW education applying design thinking was effective in improving creativity of elementary school pre-service teachers.

The web is shifting from being a medium in which information is transmitted and consumed, into being a platform in which contents are created, shared, repurposed. Web 2.0 applications are those that make the most of the intrinsic advantages of that platform. This thesis proposed a learning system based on web 2.0 for promoting statistics literacy. For this, I proposed students to create UCC(User Created Contents) data to learn principle of statistics and practical use of statistical data. To examine educational effectiveness of this study, an experimental study was conducted through the education content and method to the subject of one class in the first-grade of university located in OO city. As a result, the student understanded basic principle on statistics and perceived importance of statistics literacy and presented positive responses to statistics. In conclusion, it is confirmed that it is possible to provide effective education for students if the statistics literacy is proposed to proper education method.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate undergraduate nursing students' volunteering activities, volunteering motivation- needs, sociability and satisfaction in their major for those who take the social service activities, and to provide basic information for operating the credit system of social service activity as service-learning system. Method: This study is a descriptive study and the participants were 363 of 2nd- and 3rd-year students at a nurses' college in I City, who completed the basic course of volunteering, and the survey was conducted during April 2004. Result: The group who participated in counseling service as a volunteering activity was high in volunteering motivation-needs, sociability and satisfaction in their major. In the group who performed volunteering through circle activities, those who volunteered for children, who participated longer and who had an active attitude showed high volunteering motivation-needs. In the group who had volunteering activities during weekdays, those who took an active attitude toward volunteering showed high sociability. Those who were somewhat dissatisfied with volunteering activities, however, showed significantly high sociability. Satisfaction in the major, namely, nursing was higher in senior students, in those who participated in volunteering activities for the first time at college, those who had religion, those who are active in volunteering activities and those who were highly satisfied with volunteering activities. Considering that active attitude toward volunteering activities and high volunteering motivation-needs enhance nursing students' satisfaction in their major, it is necessary to upgrade the current volunteering activities to the level of service learning. That is, it is necessary to develop new service learning in nursing curriculum that utilizes volunteering activities as well as what they learn in major for community societies.
The purpose of this research is to identify the everyday life culture, housing satisfaction and housing importance of older Korean-Chinese living in Harbin, China. Social survey research using the questionnaire was conducted from August to October in 2011. A total of 94 usable samples were analyzed by the SPSS version the 18.0 statistical program using frequency, percentage, cross-tabulation, factor analysis, and Pearson's correlation. The major findings were as follows. Firstly, older Chinese in Harbin were assimilated into Chinese culture such as national holidays and respectful people, but acculturated in terms of their daily food, and their preference to live in a Korean-Chinese village. Secondly, they had mainly lived in multi-story houses, the so called Chinese-style apartments. The average size of their living space was $80.33m^2$ and they were usually unsatisfied with their neighbors and floor treatment lacking Ondol(溫突). Thirdly, 5 factors affecting on housing value orientation were 'physical characteristics','emotional characteristics', 'economic characteristics', 'social characteristics', 'neighbor characteristics/reputation of the house' and they explained 73.9%. 2 factors affecting on housing satisfaction were 'inner complex/inner space' and 'neighborhood environment' and they explained 69.4%. In conclusion, some policy is needed for Korean Chinese living in Harbin for their well-being when it comes to their housing needs and conditions. Given the nature of big city, Harbin and its attraction, younger Korean-Chinese tend to be rapidly assimilated into Chinese culture. However older people in Harbin think that it is important for their children to learn both countries' languages and cultures in order to be successful, so some concrete policies and supports are needed.
I conducted a pretest on the students' preference before I incorporated Cooperative learning in five classes of second grade students, at a girl's middle school which is located in Gimje city. After ten weeks of Cooperative school work, the students took a post test with the same questions as the pretest. The result of this method greatly impacted on the change of students' scientific preference. It means that the students showed their positive awareness of and the participation in the science class in comparison with the classes before they were taught this new style of education. However it is difficult to distinguish the differences of their scientific attitude on the recognition about the scientists and the habit which they think scientifically. This resulted from a short period of ten weeks of learning which is not sufficient to carry out the study strategy effectively. Surveys of the students on Cooperative learning indicates that the middle level students prefer this method unlike the higher or lower level. I am convinced that they can learn from the students of higher level and are able to help the lower level with the interaction through Cooperative learning.

This paper presents a landscape design for the citizen plaza around the ˝Woojeongchongkuk˝(the 1st Korean postal building) where the ˝Gapsinjeongbyeon˝(1844 coup d´etat) occurred and which was once used as the ˝Jeoneoigam˝(a palace hospital). The site is located in 39 Kyeonji-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and of which area is about 2,013$m^2$. The landscape design goals are to build traditional spaces which fit the traditional buildings and where people feel the old atmosphere; to build interesting spaces where people can learn the post and telegraphic history; and to build nature-friendly green rest spaces in the city. To achieve these goals, symbolic, traditional, educational, historical, and environmentally-friendly concepts are developed. With this concept the space is divided into two axis of the pst and telegraph of Korea. Along the two axis the Postage Stamp ˝Madang˝(yard), the Letter Garden, the Telegraphic ˝Ddeul˝(garden), the Communication Plaza, and the ˝Jeoneoigam˝(old palace hospital) and the ˝Gapsinjeongbyeon˝(1884 coup d´etat) Memorial Place are arranged. The Postal Stamp Madang which symbolizes the first Korean postage stamp is a space for studying history and evolution of stamps in Korea. The Letter Garden which symbolizes and formalizes a letter paper is composed with white bamboo trees which are planted linearly and long granite benches on which famous letters are carved. In the Telegraphic Ddeul which symbolizes the telegraph, the history of the telegraphic instrument and the telephone is exhibited. In the Communication Plaze which symbolizes future post and telegraph service extending to the world, the images of satellite communication, internet, webmail etc. are exhibited. The Jeoneoigan, and the Gapsinjeongbyeon Memorial Place is for memorializing the historic place and events. Throughout the whole place, various models and ceramic picture tiles about the post and telegraph and exhibited for effective education. In conclusion, sustainable management schemes for the site are suggested.
