Equivalent Circuit Modeling of Wideband Underwater Acoustic Piezoelectric Vibrator (광대역 수중 음향 압전 진동체의 등가회로 모델링)

  • In this paper an identification method is presented to obtain the equivalent electric circuit model of a wideband underwater acoustic piezoelectric vibrator. Unknown parameters involved in the equivalent circuit are indentified using the measured electrical admittances in air. The proposed method is applied to an example transducer. The validity of equivalent circuit model is demonstrated by the comparison between the experimental measurements and analytical calculations of TVR(transmitting voltage response) in water.

  • A readout circuit for Dual band IR detector was proposed and designed. Designed circuit provide to detector a stable diode bias and high injection efficiency using Buffered Direct Injection (BDI) input circuit. Then, amplifier in the unit cell is operated when cell is selected in order to minimize the power consumption. We could confirm through the simulation that designed circuit integrate and output simultaneously the signal generating from the dual band IR detector.

  • A new frequency-variant equivalent circuit model of power/ground plane is presented. The equivalent circuit is modeled with grid cells. The circuit parameters of each cell were extracted by using Fasthenry. To verify the developed circuit model, its s-parameters are compared with the measured s-parameters 〔2〕 and the full-wave simulation-based s-parameters. Consequently, it is shown that our frequency-variant equivalent circuit model can accurately predict imperfect ground effects under the high frequency operation of electronic package.

  • This paper proposes a PWM circuit using CMOS OTAs. The features of the proposed PWM circuit are IC oriented circuits, simple configuration, and bias current controlled output. In order to verily the validity of the proposed circuit, it is simulated by H-SPICE program. Futhermore, the proposed circuit is integrated on chip using 0.35 $\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology.

  • A concrete disign of memory circuit is presented aiming at the application of sliding diagonal test patterns. A modification of sliding diagonal test pattern includes the complexity reduction from O(n$^{32}$) to O(n) using parallel test memory concept. The control circuit design was based on delay-element, and verified via logic and circuit simulation. Area overhead was evaluated based on physical layout using a 0.7 micron design rule resulting in about 1% area increase for a typical 16Mbit DRAM.

  • In a design of ballast for discharge lamp, various kind of protection circuit are essential for safe operation. In this paper, overvoltage and current detection, no-load detection, lamp-fault detection, end of lamp detection for protection are introduced. Individual circuit operation and their function are described with the base that all circuit form is similar with overvoltage protection circuit.

  • In the present IEC 60427(2000), reduced applied voltage can be used for synthetic short-circuit making current tests if the maximum pre-arcing time of the test circuit breaker is less than $1/{\omega}$. But in the near future IEC, only the making tests with full test voltage shall be allowed. To meet this trend, KERI is preparing synthetic making test facilities using step-up transformer, ITMC and plasma making switch. This paper presents analytical characteristics of KERI's synthetic short-circuit making test circuits. The results of this paper can be useful for effective and adequate tests.

  • In this paper the caracteristics of the fuzzy flip-flop which was proposed as a fuzzy sequential circuit is firstly mentioned. Secondly the circuit construction of typical fuzzy flip-flip circuits using VHDL (Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language) compiler and simulator is presented. Finally the possibility of the application of the fuzzy sequential circuit will be mentioned.

Study on a grounded inductor simulated by the use of the operational amplifier (연산증폭기를 이용한 접지형 인덕터의 구성에 관한 연구)

  • A grounded inductor is proposed which contains only one resistor and operational amplifier. The circuit uses the inherent frequency dependent characteristic of an amplifier to simulate the inductor. A parallel resonance circuit is constructed with the proposed circuit. It has been proved by the experimental results of the resonant circuit that the proposed circuit is equivalent to the grounded lossy inductor. The lossy inductor is imbedded in a passive bandstop prototype, and the resultant characteristic curve has been verified by the experiment.
