  • TL dating using pre-dose effect is concerned with the sensitivity increase of $110^{\circ}C$ TL peak in quartz following the pre-exposure of irradiation (pre-dose) in antiquity and heating to thermal activation temperature. Using the multiple activation (MA) method for determining an equivalent dose, the activation temperature was selected to $500^{\circ}C$ and the region of interest was selected from $85^{\circ}C$ to $105^{\circ}C$ on quartz sample from archaeological remains, roof-tile kiln. which was excavated at Chudong-Ri cultural site. It was concluded that the resultant date was determined to the age of $1725{\pm}25years$ AD (l ${\sigma}$ SD), which had more improved precision considering with e radiocarbon dates and was in good agreement with the age derived by archaeological assessment. Also it was concluded that the pre-dose dating should contribute significantly to future archaeological dating work in the range of the last 2000 years.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the degree of dating violence experience, violence tolerance, and social problem solving ability of nursing college students and to investigate the relationship between them. 219 college students from nursing in 5 universities of Chungcheong region were convenience selected for the study. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed by t-test, ${\chi}^2$ test and Partial correlation coefficients using the SPSS 20.0 program. As a result, nursing college student's the more experience dating violence, the higher the tolerance for dating violence(r=0.31, p<.001), the higher the tolerance of dating violence is, the more negative the ability to solve social problems(r=-0.26, p<.001), and the degree of their departmental satisfaction and drinking are related to the violence of dating violence. Therefore, it provided a rational basis for the establishment of a dating violence preventive education and training program to raise awareness of dating violence tolerance and social problem solving abilities in order to prevent dating violence.

  • The paper evaluates the effect of the physical property, fineness modulus (FM) and replacement ratio of crushed sand on the characteristics of concrete. This is intended to use crushed sand from Daegu-Kyungbuk region as the fine aggregate of concrete. The experimental result indicates that the replacement ratio of crushed sand needs to be less than 50% to satisfy the mixed gradation of both natural and crushed sand when their FMs are 2.0 and 3.2, respectively. The slump of concrete with crushed sand increased as the replacement ratio of crushed sand increased, while the workability of concrete with the replacement ratio of more than 75% was significantly reduced. The air content and bleeding rate of concrete was reduced as the replacement ratio increased. Furthermore, due to the enhancement of the concrete adhesive regardless of the FM of crushed sand, compressive strength of concrete tended to improve as the replacement ratio increased.

  • This study is to analyze location conditions for erosion control dams to be constructed in Chungcheongnam-do, Daejeon Metropolitan City, Chungcheongbuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do in order to establish proper conditions for erosion control dams in the future. 199 sites where erosion control dams are expected to be built in 2010 were chosen and investigated in terms of 12 factors including basin area, basin slope, and landslide risk. The results showed that erosion control dams for Chungcheongnam-do and Daejeon Metropolitan City are mostly impermeable gravity dams mainly composed of concrete. In contrast, Chungcheongbuk-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do are increasing the number of permeable or compound erosion control dams. Basin analysis at planned erosion control dam sites showed that at least 44.5% of the total area has high landslide risk. Gyeongsangbuk-do had the largest basin area for erosion control dam sites at 157.3ha, followed by Chungcheongbuk-do at 64.4ha and Chungcheongnam-do at 54.8ha. Analysis of sand deposits in the Chungcheongnam-do erosion control dam built in 2010 confirmed an average deposit of 971.8m3. The sand deposit capacity and amount of sediment control for erosion control dams have a very low correlation with basin area or flow path slope, and this needs to be addressed in future sand deposit capacity designs.

  • The university bachelor's system is based on autonomy, but due to the rigid academic structure, it is not appropriate to respond to changes in social demand. Recently, universities are pursuing diversification of their bachelor's system. With the introduction of various majors (linkage major, convergence major, autonomic major, and self-design major), efforts are being made to nurture convergence talent based on mutual linkages between major and departments. This study introduces the design and operation process of 'Global Creative Convergence Major' which the four universities of Chungcheong region promoted as a union. In particular, it derives the key elements of each step and presents the operating model and implications based on the main features. Convergence major operation model constitutes educational system (talent award, educational goal, competency factor, curriculum) through linkage between specialization areas of universities. The competency elements contain creative competence, convergence competency, problem solving competency, and global competency.
