Simulation of Child Care for First-time Father

  • In past patriarchal societies, childbearing was considered the sole possession of women. At a time when women were struggling to move into society, the concept of parenting as the mainstay of the capitalist economic society and the head of the family has naturally been taken for granted by a woman named "housewife." Since the role of male babies is as important as that of females, Fathers are trying to promote the importance of the effects of fathers due to active participation in childcare and help change old perceptions of the past. Men also know the importance of participating in childcare in early childhood, but often do not know what their children want or why they cry due to lack of basic child care knowledge and lack of education. We tried to give fathers the meaning of indirect experience and change their perception of parenting by producing interactive VR content, which is completed with dad's participation, so that they can experience the child in person. In addition, through familiar childcare professional product advertisement and 360 degree stereo sound. It is made to immerse in the game to gain persuasive effect, inducing fathers to have interest and interest in childrearing.

전라북도와 경기도 일부지역 아동·청소년의 한식 섭취 증진을 위한 한식 식생활 교육 프로그램 요구도 분석 (Needs Assessment for Dietary Education Program Focused on the Increase of HAN-SIK (Korean Food) Consumption in Children and Adolescents Living in Jeonbuk and Gyunggi Areas)

  • Korean's intake of Han-Sik (Korean food) has gradually decreased. The aim of this study was to assess needs for a dietary education program focused on increasing Han-Sik intake (Han-Sik program) in children and adolescents according to education level. A total of 2,858 child and adolescents (elementary students 30.1%; middle school students 34.8%; high school students 35.1%) were recruited in 2015 and 2016, and questionnaires were conducted by self-administration. There were significant differences in diet and health information sources, Han-Sik proportion in school meals, experience of Han-Sik nutritional program, and preference for program composition by education level (p<0.001). The Han-Sik proportion in school meals was 87.4% of the total, which was significantly lower in high school students than in elementary students (p<0.001). The percentage of high school students with Han-Sik nutritional program experience (25.1%) was twice as low than that of elementary students (55.7%) (p<0.001). In addition, the percentage of students with Han-Sik nutritional program experience who responded "The Han-sik program is needed" was significantly higher than those who responded "It is not needed" (p<0.001). The most preferred content was 'Han-Sik cooking training' in all students. In conclusion, differences in needs for Han-Sik program by education level should be considered to develop the Han-Sik program for all education levels to increase Han-Sik consumption and formation of healthy eating habits.

  • In Korea, the lower elementary grades are applying a topic-oriented integrated curriculum. It causes a lack of science content and inquiry experience for young children. The purpose of this study is to understand the scientific experiences and perceptions of the lower elementary graders and to inquire about the meaning of those experiences in their science learning. Four students (male 2, female 2), their parents, and their first-year homeroom teachers participated in the study. The data collection was mainly conducted through in-depth interview of them. Results showed that the 'experiments' were the student's the main perception of science, and the epistemic emotion that students mainly feel about science was 'curiousness'. Since most experiences were dependent on non-formal educational experience, the parents were an important factor to determine their experiences about science. Various factors, such as students' scientific experiences, their epistemic emotions, and the parents, interacted to form children's perception of science. The positive perception of science affected the level of motivation and expectation for science learning as the third grade. It is suggested that improvement of curriculum and textbooks should emphasize scientific exploration for the lower graders of elementary school, which provides them meaningful scientific experience in school.

여성결혼이민자가족의 지원을 위한 통합적 교육프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of the Integrated Educational Programs for the Female Marital Immigrant Families)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the integrated educational programs for the female marital immigrant families in Korea. For this purpose, 21 immigrated female informants and 33 visiting teachers who provide teaching services to female informants were focus-group interviewed. The Major findings were as follows: Through the content analysis of informant's responses, both married female immigrants and visiting teachers expressed the needs of Korean language programs interpreted by immigrants' native speakers as well as programs to support their children. Married female immigrants expressed the needs for her husbands joining educational programs not much, on the other hand visiting teachers insisted to join their husbands as well as other family members to diverse family-related programs. Married female immigrants wanted programs to support their working skills, however visiting teachers emphasized their responsibilities and active attitudes before they get a job. Married female immigrants were not conscious any counselling programs to cope with husband's violence or maladjusted children, on the other hand visiting teachers insisted counselling programs to help female immigrants. Above all the programs, most of female marital immigrants wanted Korean language programs interpreted by their native speakers and programs to support their working skills, on the other hand visiting teachers emphasized the importance of family-related programs and counselling programs.

'위험한 미디어 vs 든든한 육아 도우미' : 영유아 스마트 미디어 이용 담론에 대한 탐구 ("Dangerous Media vs. Reliable Childcare Helper" : Discursive Analysis of Infants' Smart Media Use)

  • 이 연구는 영유아들의 스마트 미디어 이용에 대한 담론이 어떻게 구성되어 있는지 살펴보고자 한다. '스마트미디어 노출=위험한 행위'라는 경고에도 불구하고, 아동의 스마트 미디어 과의존은 증가해왔다. 이러한 현상은 영유아들의 미디어 이용을 둘러싼 사회적 맥락을 살펴볼 필요성을 제기한다. 이 연구는 10개 일간지 및 경제지를 대상으로 2018년-20년에 생산된 기사를 분석했다. 그 결과, 영유아의 미디어 담론 형성의 핵심적인 발화주체는 관련 콘텐츠 생산자 및 플랫폼 운영자들이었다. 학계 및 시민단체, 부모를 중심으로 한 스마트 미디어의 부정적 영향에 대한 입장이 개진되었지만 산업계는 이러한 위험성 논의를 넘어 영유아의 스마트 미디어 이용에 긍정적 의미를 부여했다. 스마트 미디어는 자녀의 생활습관형성, 학습과 발달을 돕는 미디어, 자녀의 미디어 이용에 대한 부모의 통제권을 확보하도록 도와주는 안전한 미디어로 재정의 되었다. 자녀의 스마트 미디어 과의존을 유발하는 원인으로 거론되면서 비난과의 대상이자 문제해결의 주체였던 부모는 산업계의 서사 전략 속에서 돌봄 책임자이자 도움이 필요한 존재로 위치 지워졌다. 위험 담론 속에서 불완전한 돌봄의 방식으로 표상되었던 디지털 육아는 이제 최신 기술을 활용한, 부모들이 손쉽게 동원 가능한 육아 방식으로 규정되었다.

어린이 기호식품 중 카페인 함량에 대한 조사 (Survey of Caffeine levels in the Favorite Diets of Children)

  • 어린이들이 선호하는 기호식품에 대하여 카페인의 함량을 분석한 결과 식품의 종류에 따라서 차이가 많았으며 대체적으로 $4.8{\sim}65mg/100ml$ 정도였다. 자판기 커피를 제외한 단위 ml당 카페인 함량은 박카스가 42.6 mg/100ml로 가장 높았으며, 네스티에서는 4.8 mg/100ml 정도로 가장 낮았다. 또한 콜라의 경우는 13.7mg/100ml, 마운틴듀는 21.0mg/100ml, 홍차는 29.1mg/100ml, 펩시는 12.9mg/100ml 정도가 검출되었다. 이들 음료수를 1병 또는 1컵 섭취시 노출되는 카페인 함량은 마운틴듀가 52.5mg으로 가장 높았으며, 그 다음으로는 박카스가 52mg, 홍차는 49.5mg, 콜라는 34.2mg정도 섭취되는 것으로 나타났다. 유가공품 음료의 카페인 함량은 최저 0mg/100ml, 최고 15.0mg/100ml로 커피함유 우유에서 가장 높게 검출되었으며, 초코함유 우유에서도 높은 수치를 나타내었다. 초코를 함유한 대부분의 원료에서 카페인이 검출되었다. 이러한 결과는 어린이들이 카페인을 너무나도 쉽게 섭취할 수 있다는 것을 보여준다. 전 세계적으로 카페인의 섭취에 대한 권장량이 명확하게 규정되어 있지 않다. 미국 FDA에서는 sodas에서 카페인의 양에 대하여 규제하고 있지는 않으나 0.2% 또는 68 mg/12 ounces 이하인 경우 안전하다고 고려하고 있다 또한 의약품인 경우는 카페인 함유 음료량 함께 복용하지 말아야 한다는 것을 경고하고 있을 뿐이다. 따라서 본 연구로부터 어린이의 일일 카페인 섭취량은 미국 FDA에서 제시한 성인의 카페인의 일일 최대 섭취량(400 mg/day)의 약 $10{\sim}20%$ 수준인 $40{\sim}80 mg/day (0.6{\sim}1.3mg/kg/day)$로 권장 할 필요가 있다는 것을 제시한다.났다.전류 변동 제어에서 노이즈 지수가 증가하면 CTDIvol과 DLP가 감소하였으나 노이즈는 증가하였다. 생식부위를 포함하는 하지 정맥조영술에서 Z-축 자동 관전류 변동 제어 방법이 고정 관전류 기법에 비해 선량을 감소하는 효과가 있었다.되었다. ICRU 38의 권고에 따른 방광선량은 ICRU 치료계획 및 CTV 치료계획에서 각각 $90.1{\pm}21.3%,\;68.7{\pm}26.6%$이었고(p=0.001), 직장선량은 $86.4{\pm}18.3%,\;76.9{\pm}15.6%$이었다(p=0.08). 방광 및 직장선량의 최대 점선량 또한 ICRU 치료계획과 CTV계획에서 각각 $137.2{\pm}50.1%$ vs $107.6{\pm}47.9%$, (p=0.008), $101.1{\pm}41.8%$ vs $86.9{\pm}30.8%$ (p=0.045) 로서 CTV 치료계획에서 정상조직에 조사되는 선량이 더 적게 나타났다. 그러나 잔류종양이 4cm 이상인 환자에서는 CTV 치료계획에서 정상조직 선량이 권고 선량보다 현저히 높게 나타났다. 방광 및 직장의 용적선량에서는 투여선량의 80% 이상을 받는 직장용적선량(V80rec)은 ICRU 치료계획 및 CTV 치료계획에서 각각 $1.8{\pm}2.4cm^3,\;0.7{\pm}1.0cm^3$(p=0.02), 방광용적선량(V80bla)은 $12.2{\pm}8.9cm^3,\;3.5{\pm}4.1cm^3$로서 역시 CTV 치료계획에서 적게 조사되었다(p=0.005). 기존의 ICRU 치료계획은 잔류종양의 크기가 작은 경우 불필요하게 정상조직에 많은 선량이 투여되기 때문에 CT를 이용한 CTV 치료계획을 적용하여 정상조직에 대한 피폭을 현저히 낮추고 잔류종양에 목표한 선량을

여성결혼이민자의 의료서비스 이용경험 (Married Female Migrants' Experiences of Health Care Services)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe married female migrants' experiences of health care services and to help nursing researchers, nursing educators, and clinical nurses understand married female migrants' experiences. Method: A conventional content analysis method was utilized. Individual in-depth interviews with 15 married female migrants were conducted. Subject recruitment was performed at a district in Seoul. Results: Ten categories were induced: language barrier, financial burden, insufficient time with a physician, complexity of utilization process, lack of support from peer group, health care providers' discrimination, anxiety regarding lack of information about children's health, health care providers' concerns and efforts to minimize the language barrier, family support, and advanced health care service environment. Conclusion: This study provides basic knowledge regarding married female migrants' experiences related to health care services. Future research should designate and utilize valid instruments to measure the positive and negative experiences and to explore strategies to strengthen the positive features while eliminating the negative ones. Finally, the Korean nursing education curriculum should include cultural competence and knowledge about an ethnic minority's right to health service utilization.

아동간호학에서의 아버지 자녀양육에 대한 연구 경향과 전망 (Trend and Perspectives of Studies on Paternal Parenting in Pediatric Nursing)

  • The significance of father's parenting has been considered as a critical factor in facilitating growth and development and in promoting wellbeing of children. Pediatric nursing is a pertinent science to develop parenting roles, because it deals with knowledge and skills on growth and development and health of child. For this paper current studies were reviewed related to consequences to the family, content and factors influencing paternal parenting, and father's reactions to child rearing participation. Perspectives of future studies in pediatric nursing are summarized as follows. First, paternal parenting has to be studied more actively to contribute to family health and to meet the academic responsibility of pediatric nursing. Second, it is necessary to study the consequences to child's health and health behavior of paternal parenting. Also it is necessary to be concerned about fathers' reactions, like stress in parenting behavior, to understand the parenting father himself. Third, an objective measure of caregiving behavior (not self-reporting) is needed to determine whether the father is behaving appropriately. Further, experimental research has to be implemented to develop intervention programs for paternal parenting. It is hoped that the examination of these studies leads to develop of knowledge and practice in paternal parenting.

포괄적 구강안면기능척도(Comprehensive Oro-Facial Function Scale; COFFS)의 개발 (Development of Comprehensive Oro-Facial Function Scale)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 연하장애 환자를 대상으로 구강안면기능을 평가할 수 있는 포괄적 구강안면기능척도(Comprehensive Oro-Facial Function Scale; COFFS)를 개발하고자 실시되었다. 연구방법 : COFFS의 문항 구성과 신뢰도를 검증하는 연구로 4개의 선행 연구를 선택 분석하여 예비문항을 수집하였고, 전문가를 대상으로 2차의 설문조사를 통해 내용타당도(Content Validity Ratio; CVR)를 도출하였다. 평가 항목의 내적 타당도를 위해 Cronbach's 𝛼값을 산출하였으며, 급간 내 상관계수(Internal Classification Coefficients; ICC)를 이용하여 검사-재검사 신뢰도 및 검사자간 신뢰도를 구하였다. 결과 : 전체 문항의 내용타당도는 0.67로 나타났으며, 영역별 Cronbach's 𝛼값의 경우 의사소통 영역 0.849, 구강안면 구조 및 형태 -0.224, 구강안면 움직임 수행능력 0.831, 저작 및 삼킴 기능은 0.946으로 도출되었으며, 검사-재검사 신뢰도는 0.974, 검사자간 신뢰도는 0.937로 높은 신뢰도를 보였다. 결론 : 본 연구에서 COFFS의 평가도구는 4개의 영역에서 34개의 문항을 최종적으로 선정하였고, 평가항목에 따라 3~5점 척도로 개발되었다. 추후 연구에서는 구강안면기능을 측정하는 다른 평가도구와의 상관관계를 통해 타당도를 입증할 추가연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

소아승낙 현황조사와 소아청소년과/소아신경과 전문의를 대상으로 면담조사를 통한 소아승낙서 공통기준 수립 연구 (Research to Establish a Common Standard for Assent by Assessing the Current State of the Assent Process and Conducting Interviews with Pediatrician/Pediatric Neurologist)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of pediatric assent in nationwide hospitals and to assess the children's comprehension for pediatric assent by interviewing pediatricians/pediatric neurologists to determine whether children of the age (elementary and middle school students) can understand the purpose, risks, benefits, and concepts of voluntary participation in clinical research described in the assent form, and to help improve the administrative efficiency of multicenter clinical trials. Methods: The status of pediatric assent was surveyed online using Google Forms at 141 university hospitals with administrative staff who are members of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) administrative staff subcommittee with in Korean Association of Institutional Review Boards (KAIRB). Additionally, face-to-face interviews were conducted with 7 pediatricians/pediatric neurologists. Survey and interview responses were summarized using descriptive statistics. Results: Out of the 141 institutions surveyed, 35 institutions (24.8%) responded. Among them, 30 institutions (85.7%) reported having age criteria for acquiring pediatric assent forms in the case of children. The age range for pediatric assent acquisition have been from 7 years old to 12 years old (15 institutions, 50%), and from 7 years old to 15 years old (7 institutions, 23.3%). Nine institutions (25.7%) have had criteria for obtaining both parents' consent in cases involving the participation of children. Nineteen institutions (54.3%) have had checklists or guidelines available for use by IRB members in study protocols involving vulnerable research subjects. Three pediatricians/pediatric neurologists have believed that upper-grade elementary school students (5th-6th grade) could comprehensively understand informed consent forms. Two have believed that middle school students would be able to understand them if they included personal information. Two pediatricians/pediatric neurologists have believed that even lower-grade elementary school students (1st-4th grade) could understand the explanations if they were made simpler. Conclusion: It is suggested that not only elementary school students (7-12 years old) but also middle school students (13-15 years old) should receive pediatric assent forms, as it would facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the forms. To enhance the comprehension of assent form content, it is necessary to use age-appropriate words, language, and expressions in the forms hospital. It is also recommended to create comics or videos to make the content of the assent forms more accessible for children.
