볼엔드밀을 이용한 원호곡면의 가공시 CUSP의 크기 (Cusp Height in Circular Surface Machining Using Ball End Mill)

  • Sculptured surface machining plays a vital role in the process of bring new Products to the market place. A great variety of products rely on this technology for the production of the dies and moulds used in manufacturing. And, the use or CNC machines and CAD/CAM system has become a vital parts or product development process. But, cusp is inevitable by-product in sculptured surface machining, and it is very difficult to calculate the cusp height correctly. In this study, an analytical cusp height model is proposed considering the radius of the ball end mill, radius of machined workpiece and the inclined angle of convex or concave circular surface. Experiments were performed to check the validity of this proposed model and experimental results showed that the proposed cusp model were very effective.

이젝터를 이용한 다관식 열교환기 파울링 자동제거장치의 구동특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Operating Characteristics on Fouling Auto Removal Apparatus of Multi Pass Type Heat Exchanger using Ejector)

  • The experiment was performed to check operating characteristics of fouling auto removal apparatus for multi pass type heat exchanger using ejector. The results showed as following. The ejector suction flow rate increased with the head of operating pump of ejector. Proper suction flow rate showed $7.2{\sim}10.2m^3/h$ for ball collection in case of pump head 35~50m. The head of ejector outlet pipe is below 4.1m in case of 40m, the head of operating pump of ejector to confirm ejector suction flow rate 8.4m3/h. Lattice space of ball separator is allowed 6~10.3mm in ranges of ball diameter are 15~25mm and when mass flow of cooling water is 3.0m/sec. Average of passing time of balls is 1.2~2.8sec depend on the velocity of flow and the size of balls.

볼바를 사용한 회전 테이블의 기하학적 오차 추정 (Geometric Errors Estimation of a Rotary Table using Double Ball-bar)

  • In this paper, double ball-bar is used to estimate the geometric errors of a rotary table, which includes one-axial motion, two-radial motions and two-tilt motions, except the angular positioning error. To simplify the measurement procedures, three measurement steps have been designed and developed. At each measurement step, one end of the double ball-bar is fixed at the nose of spindle and the other end is located on the rotary table. And specific circular test path is planned to keep the distance between two balls as constant at ideal case. The relationship including the geometric errors of a rotary table and the measured distance between two balls which is distorted by the geometric errors is defined by using ball-bar equation. Each geometric error is modeled as $4^{th}$ order polynomial considering $C^1$-continuity. Finally the coefficients of polynomial are calculated by least-square method. Simulation is done to check the validation of the suggested method considering set-up errors and measurement noise. Suggested method is applied to estimate geometric errors of a rotary table of a 5-axis machine tool.

양계 급수용 구면 피스톤 니플의 성능 평가 (Evaluation of Sphere Faced Type Piston Nipple for Water Feed of Poultry)

  • 양계 농장의 자동화 시설 중 닭에 물을 공급하는 자동 급수 장치는 닭 사육을 위한 가장 중요한 시설중의 하나이다. 이 장치 부품 중 급수 니플은 닭이 직접 물을 먹는 장치이며 그 내부에 체크 밸브가 있어 물 공급 시에는 열리고 물을 먹지 않을 경우는 닫히게 된다. 니플의 종류는 피스톤 니플과 볼 니플로 나누워지며 볼 니플은 니플 스틱의 운동이 자유롭게 되어 낙수의 차단이 잘되는 장점이 있으나 복잡한 구조를 갔고 있는 단점이 있다. 이에 반하여 피스톤 니플은 구조가 간단한 장점이 있는 반면에 대부분 상하운동만 가능한 단점이 있다 최근에 이를 보완하기 위하여 피스톤 니플에 밸브 시트면을 구 형태로 제작하여 피스톤 형식이면서 자유로운 운동이 가능 하도록 한 구조(이하 : 구면 피스톤 니플)가 개발 되었다. 본 실험에서는 최근 관심을 갖게된 구면 피스톤 니플에 대한 성능 평가를 수행하였으며 그 결과를 국내외 기존 제품인 볼 니플 및 피스톤 니플과 성능을 실험적으로 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 구면 피스톤 니플의 성능은 기존 피스톤 니플 보다는 좋은 결과를 얻었으며 볼 니플과는 유사한 성능임을 확인하였다.

레이디얼 피스톤 펌프의 피스톤 접촉 메커니즘 개발 (Development of piston contact mechanism for radial piston pump)

  • This paper presents the experimental results of the radial piston type oil pump with new mechanism for a metal diaphragm hydrogen compressor. Generally, metal diaphragm type hydrogen compressor systems are operated by oil hydraulic power. In this system an oil compensating pump has been demanded to compensate for a leakage oil head chamber. The metal diaphragm type hydrogen compressor consists of an oil compensating pump, commonly used hydraulic piston pump and driven by main crank shaft. The radial piston type oil compensating pump with new rolling contacted piston mechanism is developed and experimented. The developed piston element of the radial piston pump consists of piston, steel ball, return spring, two check valves, eccentric cam and ball racer. In this study, designed 4 type pistons as and orifice hole. Operating characteristics and pressure ripple characteristics are tested under no load to 60bar loaded with every 20bar increasing step and pressure ripple and flow rate are experimentally investigated.

임펠러 5-축 CNC 가공에 관한 연구 (A Study on The 5-Axis CNC Machining of Impeller)

  • The manufacture of an impeller typically requires the 5-axis CNC machining, since the impeller is usually under working conditions such as high speed, high temperature, and high pressure. Thus, this study contributes to development of an exclusive CAM system for effective 5-axis CNC machining of a ruled surface type impeller. In this study, the sampled impeller is made of blades and a body and the blade consists of ruled surfaces between hub curve and shroud curve. In the post processing for 5-axis NC part program, the cutter axis direction vector is the straighten vector on ruled surface. The position of ball center in ball end mill cutter is decided on the interference check between the cutter and body surface of impeller using with the modified z-map method that z-axis is the same of cutter axis direction vector. The exclusive CAM system for an impeller developed in this study was very effective for designs and 50-axis machining of a ruled surface type impeller.

  • Let $B_1$ be a unit ball in $R^n(n{\geq}3)$, and $2^*=2n/(n-2)$ be the critical Sobolev exponent for the embedding $H_0^1(B_1){\hookrightarrow}L^{2^*}(B_1)$. By using a variant of Pohoz$\check{a}$aev's identity, we prove the nonexistence of nodal solutions for the Dirichlet problem $-{\Delta}u-{\mu}\frac{u}{{\mid}x{\mid}^2}={\lambda}u+{\mid}u{\mid}^{2^*-2}u$ in $B_1$, u=0 on ${\partial}B_1$ for suitable positive numbers ${\mu}$ and ${\nu}$.

피스톤 냉각용 오일제트 비정상 유동 해석 (Unsteady Flow Analysis of Oil Jet for Cooling the Piston)

  • In order to enhance the performance of an automotive engine, many researchers have been carried out. An oil jet cooling a piston is one of important parts for engine performance. Therefore, the efficient cooling system of an oil jet is needed. In this paper, unsteady flow analysis of the oil jet which consists of a check valve and a nozzle has been accomplished. And the reaction between mass flow rate and ball movement was also investigated.

옵셋 다면체를 이용한 5축 가공경로 생성 (5-Axis Tool Path Generation from Offset Polyhedral Mesh)

  • In this paper, the 5-axis tool path that has been generated from the original surface is, newly generated from the offset polyhedral mesh. In this approach, the interference check between two solid models can be simplified to that of offset polyhedral mesh and axis line. The tool path computation and interference check based on the offset mesh is simpler and faster than that based on the original surface. But 5-axis tool path generation using this approach is able to apply only for ball endmill and still takes longer time than 3-axis tool path generation.

  • This paper presents a developing algorithm of checking errors of feed mechanism in the NC machine tool with DAC method. It is useful to check static and dynamic rigidity with relation between lost motion and current of rotor. For checking error of feed in assembly tuning with machining center proposed checking algorithm is useful.
