Noonan syndrome is characterized by a Turner-like phenotype and a normal karyotype associated with congenital abnormalities, such as short stature, variable mental retardation, hypertelorism, webbed neck, low posterior hair line, skeletal malformation and congenital cardiovascular defect. Two third of Noonan syndrome have cardiac anormalies, half with pulmonary stenosis. We have experienced two cases of pulmonary stenosis associated with other cardiac anomalies in Noonan syndrome. The first 31-year-old male patient had characteristic appearance of Noonan syndrome with severe infundibular pulmonic stenosis and patent foramen ovate. The second 28-year-old male patient had valvular and subvalvular Pulmonary stenosis with typical Noonan\`s face and stature. Pulmonary valvotomy and hypertrophied muscle bundles in the right ventricular cavity were resected in both cases. Patent foramen ovate was closed directly in the first case. Postoperative follow-up examinations revealed no symptoms and successful outcome.

In this paper, a VCDRO(Voltage Control Dielectirc Resonator Oscillator) for signal source of doppler radar system is designed and fabricated. The proposed VCDRO is made with new tuning mechanism using CPW line. The coplanar waveguide of $\lambda_{g}$/2 in length with varactor diode is placed on the metallization side under the dielectric resonator and coupled to it. Tuning varactor diode is mounted at one end of the CPW. The proposed circuit tuned by a CPW allows one more varactor diode to be mounted on the optimized CPW, where a greater sensitivity of frequency tuning is needed. With varying the biasing voltage for the varactor diode from 0 V to 15 V, output frequency tuning of 12 MHz is obtained. The PLDRO exhibits output power of 16.5 dBm with phase noise in the phase locked state characteristic of -115 dBc/Hz at 100 Hz, -105 dBc/Hz at the 10 kHz, and -102 dBc/Hz at 1 Hz offset from 10.525 GHz , respectively.

This paper proposes a power divider based on meta-material structure with dual-band operation. The meta-material structures of left-hand characteristic are constituted of series capacitors and shunt inductors, but they have parasitic series inductance and shunt capacitance effects. There is represented the composite right/ left-handed transmission line (CRLH-TL) model. When the power divider is implemented by using the CRLH-TL, the power divider can operate dual band. To verify the power divider with dual band, we are implemented to operate dual-band that is 0.88 GHz and 1.67 GHz. The characteristics of divider have the return loss less than each 21.0 dB and 15.8 dB and the insertion loss better than 3.83 dB and 3.64 dB at each frequency. Also, the output phase difference is $3{\sim}6^{\circ}$.

In this paper, an improved Schiffman phase shifter is proposed using slot-coupled lines. It consists of the typical coupled lines and a simple rectangular slot which is placed in the ground plane underneath the coupled lines. Phase responses of the slot-coupled Schiffman phase shifter are analyzed in consideration of the phase velocity of two independent transmission modes and the characteristic impedance of slot-coupled line. The $905^{\circ}$ Schiffman phase shifters with high impedance ratio is realized at 2.4 GHz, which cannot be implemented with the conventional coupled lines. The measured results show that the bandwidth is around 74.2 % within the phase errors ${\pm}5^{\circ}$. The measured return loss is found to be better than 15.0 dB and insertion loss is less than 1.5 dB over the operating frequency band.

The number of one-person households has increased because of social and economic changes in Korea. The purpose of this study is to figure out the need for different types of furniture plans, based on life styles, that minimize undesired dead spaces for those individuals who live by themselves in a one-room studio. Residents of Busan, who are in their 20 to 40 s, answered questionnaires provided by the researchers. 156 questionnaires were analyzed through a statistical process by using SPSS Win 18.0K. The major findings are as follows: (1) The subject's lifestyles were classified into five lifestyle factors: the self-actualizing lifestyle factor, the well-being pursuing lifestyle factor, the open and sociable lifestyle factor, the stable and convenient lifestyle factor, and the information-oriented lifestyle factor. (2) These factors contributed to five lifestyle groups with common characteristic: the 'self-actualizing group' has a positive attitude about self-improvement and most subjects in this group are professionals. The 'well-being pursuing group' has a positive attitude about comfort living. The 'open and sociable lifestyle group' mostly consisted of students who are very positive in regards to accepting new trends. The 'stable and convenient lifestyle group' values stability and convenience in their life. The 'information-oriented group' pursues a lifestyle substantially depending on obtaining online and off-line information.

본 연구는 싱크로트론 방사광의 단색광 (monobeam)을 이용한 영상을 획득하였다. 영상센서로서 CMOS를 사용하였으며 센서 앞단에는 형광체 (phosphor)를 이용하여 방사광에 대한 빛의 신호로서 영상을 획득하였다. 사용된 싱크로트론 방사광의 beam size는 $5mm{\times}2mm$ 이며 ion chamber를 통한 beam intensity 는 $10{\times}10^{-7}$이다. 형광체는 각각 ZnS(Cu:Al), ZnS(Ag,Al), $BiTiO_3$, $Y_2O_2S(Tb)$로서 4가지를 사용하였으며 여기에 사용된 형광체는 기계식 스크린 프린팅 (Screen Printing) 방식으로 직접 제조하였다. 두께는 모두 동일하게 $10{\mu}m$이며 각각에 대한 PL(Photoluminescence)을 측정하여 분석하였다. object로는 물고기와 20linepair를 사용하였으며 CMOS센서를 이용하여 각각의 phosphor에 대하여 영상을 획득하였다. 영상의 평가는 20line pair 영상의 MTF를 이용하였다. 각각의 형광체에 대한 MTF는 5 lp/mm 에서는 0.5650, 0.2150, 0.7890, 0.3840 이며 10 lp/mm 은 0.4500, 0.0900, 0.2510, 0.1500이고 15 lp/mm 는 0.1900, 0.0300, 0.1430, 0.0500이며 마지막으로 20 lp/mm 은 0.0810, 0.004, 0.0500, 0.0320의 MTF 값을 나타내었다. $10{\mu}m$ 두께에 대하여 ZnS(Cu:Al)이 가장 좋은 MTF의 값을 나타내었다.

As TBM construction method is widely applied to construct underground transmission lines, increasing attention has been drawn to SFRC(steel fiber reinforced concrete) segment with respect to structural characteristics. Health hazards of electromagnetic wave which the underground transmission lines emit has emerged, and there is a concern that electromagnetic wave can be amplified because a segment characteristic such as electrical conductivity is changed by steel fibers. In order to analyze correlation between steel fiber dosage and electromagnetic wave, the specimens were fabricated on three conditions to perform experimental tests. From the measured data, it is proven that there is no correlation between the electromagnetic wave and steel fiber reinforced concrete.

Julio Romano decorated the facade of his house in Mantua with a statue of Mercury to give expressions to his ideas on painting. Hereby the painter from Rome could show his home to the world as that of a painter. To be concrete, Mercury was the planet god to which visual artists belonged, and so was basically related to visual arts. In his role to deliver diverse features of art works Mercury could also convey concepts and emotions expressed in a picture to the viewer. The power of a painting to arouse certain emotions or move the mind of the viewer was further connected to the role of Mercury as the guide of the human soul. This function again related the Roman god to the characteristic of a portrait to present absent persons to the viewer. Above the statue of Mercury, a Lucian head of the god is seen, so that they together form the central axis of the facade. This seems to emphasize that the theme of the facade decoration was the powerful persuasive forces of eloquence. The two masks on the left could then refer to sources of eloquence, I.e. various beautiful expressions of a language and its generative process. On the other hand, the masks on the right could represent consequences of eloquence, for instance, prudence, evil effects which come about to imprudent listeners, and other influences on listeners. Finally, it would be useful to remind us of a line from On Architecture by Leon Battista Alberti. According to the humanist architect parts of a building which are seen from the outside, like a facade, should be appropriately designed, since the decoration of a house could play a significant role to enhance the fame and honor of the family and its fatherland. This theory of Alberti could have provided the foundation to the facade decoration of the Casa Pippi which proudly presented the profession of painting to the public in visual form.

In the present study, oblique L-shaped monopole slot antenna with broadband characteristic is newly proposed. For bandwidth enhancement as well as size reduction, L-shaped slot with two open-terminations on the ground edge is used. The lower part of L-shaped slot comprises oblique form for bandwidth enhancement in low frequency band, whereas its higher part comprise tapered form for its enhancement in high frequency band. The short-circuit terminated microstrip line which is generally known to be more useful for bandwidth enhancement than open-circuit termination is used. The measured impedance bandwidth($S_{11}{\leq}-10dB$) and gain of the fabricated antenna have been observed to be 4.72 GHz (2.28~7 GHz) and more than 3dBi over the passband respectively.

The waterfront has distinct climate characteristics different from urban or inland area. These may create not only the rise of energy and maintenance costs for facilities located at waterfront areas, but also the negative effects on the climate of the nearby inland area, unless these are treated with particular care. For the present study, the climate characteristics of waterfront were examined with climate data of 10 observation points carefully selected in Busan area. Each weather observation point was classified into either waterfront area of inland area, based on the distance from the coastal line. Special considerations were given to the climate data gathered at the Dae-Yeon weather station because it shows the climate characteristics similar to those of inland area, although it is located very near the waterfront area. Results indicates that this peculiar climate condition attributes, at least in part, to the reclamation of frontal coastal area.
