A Study on Restricted Category Type Certification Procedure of Surion Derivatives Rotorcraft (수리온파생형 회전익항공기 민간 제한형식증명 획득 절차에 관한 연구)

  • For operating military aircraft, military certificate of airworthiness (MCA) must be obtained from military authority. Among procedures of general airworthiness certification, there is a military type certification process that aircraft design complies with military airworthiness certification criteria. The Surion is the first military rotorcraft which has obtained military type certificate, production validation and airworthiness certificate in Korea, and the Surion derivatives for special mission are being operated for government services. Based on Aviation Safety Act, in order to operate the Surion derivatives (military aircraft) for special purpose (such as emergency patient transportation and firefighting), the issuance of special airworthiness certificates was needed from civil airworthiness authority, and the restricted category type certification (RTC) is one of design approvals for special airworthiness certification to be streamlined. This study discussed the procedures for acquiring RTC for special purpose operation of the Surion derivatives classified as military derived aircraft, and suggested procedural ideas to improve Korean RTC system.

  • The application contents, process, and its limitations are discussed for the setting of Korean legal guides & criteria for water cycle and ecological condition in development project of land use by thorough comparison and examination of prerequisites and credits of water cycle and soil+vegetation by USA's SITES (Sustainable Sites Initiative). In the case of SITES, due to the implementation procedure operated as a non-governmental independent assessment system by Green Business Certification, Inc, the natural condition of water cycle and soil-vegetation items-the key element of ecosystem services can be quantitatively assessed, well along with its legal and institutional guidelines and regulations. On the other hand, in the case of Korea, as a part of the national certification procedure for green building, the ecological area ratio system still have very limited role as an only amenity resource in the creation of artificial green spaces and insufficiency of management system for rain water. In conclusion, it was understood as an urgent situation in necessary for prompt establishment of site's sustainability certification system at the national level, based on management of water circulation and natural soil & vegetation in developed area with consideration of various land uses and types of development projects.

  • In this paper, a system that implementation of Biometric System Using RF-ID. We organize a certification system which the security is strengthened, the information is flowed out and the presentation will do the possibility not to be abused. The loss of the credit card and problems which there is many of forgery back are happening. To solve such problems, We organized the system to use after we stored a fingerprint data at RF Card and going through certification necessary formalities. Various research to be related uses this system and is predicted. The development to common use goods will be possible through a certification procedure.

  • The paper is aiming at presenting the proper treatment method and procedures of ILW waste to both waste generators and acceptor so that the waste characteristics are satisfied with the WAC(Waste Acceptance Criteria) and as a result, the disposal facility would be operating safely. The ILW generators are responsible for reducing the volume of waste, treating and packaging the waste in order to meet the WAC, and acceptor has an obligation of inspecting the waste in conformity with the acceptance procedure established by regulation. Recently, a number of countries including France and USA examine the disposal acceptability of ILW waste by the WCP(Waste Package Quality Certification Program).

  • This study is performed to find out the climb performance of light airplane, Chang Gong-91, as a part of flight test to acquire the certification. Chang Gong-91 is a 5-passenger light aircraft of normal category with single reciprocating engine, and the first officially certified by Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation in 1993. These flight test procedure and data for climb performance are used to get type certification. We have got maximum climb rate for operating altitude, best angle of climb speed, best rate of climb speed, and absolute ceiling of Chang Gong-91 using drag polar data reduction method from sawtooth climb flight data. Also we compare the form drag coefficient from the results of climb performance and Oswald's effectiveness coefficient to design values using lift-drag curve of light airplane.

  • Now a days, the development of TV and internet like communicational technique makes IPTV service which combines internet with multimedia contents increase. But when a user gets service in specific place, the certification process and user's ID check in IPTV service is complicate so that there occurs communicational difficulty like increasing illegal users and service delay etc. This paper proposes communication security mechanism to prevent Clone attack which happens in wireless section by efficiently extracting illegal user. The proposed mechanism performs key distribution procedure, inter certification procedure, and key initiation procedure by putting security agent in RFID-USB for RFID tags users use to perform plug-and-plug function. Also, the proposed mechanism updates the hased token value by its ID and the random number which RFID-USB creates whenever a user accesses in the area of RFID-USB so that it protects reply attack and man-in-the-middle attack which happen often in the area of wireless section.

  • The objective of study on composite cylinder for alternative fuel vehicle is to develop safe, efficient, and commercially viable, on-board fuel storage system for the fuel cell vehicle or natural gas vehicle that use highly compressed gaseous fuel such as hydrogen or natural gas. This study presents the whole procedure of development and certification of a type 3 composite cylinder of 207bar service pressure and 70 liter water capacity, which includes design/analysis, processing of filament winding, and validation through various testing and evaluation. Design methods of liner configuration and winding patterns are presented. Three dimensional, nonlinear finite element analysis techniques are used to predict burst pressure and failure mode. Design and analysis techniques are verified through burst and cycling tests. The full qualification test methods and results for validation and certification are presented.

  • The function and performance test of the developed sub-system should be conducted before integrating into the total system. For the successful achievement of the flight test, the integration tests of sub-systems must be performed to eliminate and prevent abnormal conditions, which may happen due to ground problems, Electro-Magnetic Interference noises, and so on. This paper describes the certification test procedure and results for the roll axis attitude control system of Korea Sounding Rocket-III.

  • Electronic commerce and application service is to universal on the internet, and a large quantity information transmitted on the network, It's needs procedure to access only permit objects for the integrity of information. In order to provide regional services is authentication for control resource and client identification. In particular, public key system is to implement in distributed environment, it is able to insurance users convenience and integrity at the same time. In this paper designed mechanism of cross certification between realms in PKI based on X.509 associated with DNS (Domain Name System) that is presented.

Electronic Nose Analysis of Ethanol in Gochujang for Halal Food Certification (전자코를 사용하여 할랄식품 적용을 위한 고추장 중 에탄올 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the electronic nose can be applied as a primary screening procedure to detect ethanol in gochujang for halal certification. First, ethanol content in 25 traditional gochujang was measured by gas chromatography with flame ion detector, widely accepted as the conventional method of alcohol detection. The content ranged from 0.14 to 2.7%. Then, 8 gochujangs selected from among the initial 25 samples were analyzed by electronic nose. Similar ethanol content patterns were observed between the two detection methods. In addition, commercial gochujang products were examined by electronic nose to ensure that they complied with the required ethanol standard of the halal certification authority. Consequently, it was confirmed that electronic nose analysis can be applied as a primary screening method for halal certification.
