BLDC motors are stored in the devices such as CD-RW, COMBO, DVD-ROM and CD-ROM. It is indispensable to establish reliability assessment criteria for BLDC motors, especially in the world where IT grows rapidly. In this article, reliability certification procedure is given. The reliability certification procedure consists of two separate tests such as quality certification test and lifetime test. The former quality certification test comprises general performance test and environmental test. Items which pass the test undergo lifetime test which guarantees the extent of mean lifetime with certain confidence.

This study focuses on the issue of improving safety management of elevators. The role of certification and supervision in reducing the associated accidents is specifically addressed. The results of simple statistical analysis suggests that a certification procedure emphasizing the quality assurance during manufacturing and supervision during assembly and installation of elevators are needed and can be effective in minimizing the associated accidents.

본 연구는 국내에서 개발되는 KAS 23급 민간항공기에 대해 형식증명을 취득하기 위한 절차와 방법에 대해 기술하였다. 인증기준을 수립하고 형식증명 계획서에 따라 시험평가를 통해 적합성을 입증하는 절차와 적합성 입증 방안을 제시함으로써 정해진 기간 내 형식증명을 취득하는 것이 가장 중요하다고 하겠다. 본 절차는 미 FAA Order 8110.4C, 'Type Certification'과 국내규정을 참고하였으며 적합성 입증방법(MOC)을 정의하여 적합성 점검표(CCL) 작성 사례를 보여주고 있다. 또한 적합성 입증방법에 따라 시험평가 항목을 분류 하였고 그 방안을 제시하였다.

항공기의 성능 개선이나 관련 법규의 요건 만족을 위해 항공기 시스템 개조는 필요하다. 이러한 개조를 위해 기술력이나 항공기의 감항성을 위한 설계 검증, 형식 증명에 대한 부가형식증명(STC)의 인증 절차는 적절한 표준이 요구된다. 본 연구는 국내 항공기 개조 현황과 수요를 분석하고 현재의 부가형식증명 절차를 검토하여 그 문제점을 진단한다. 또한 늘어난 항공기의 수명에 대하여 개조기술 및 인증 능력 향상방안을 연구한 결과 개조 조직의 인가와 분야별 전문 엔지니어 자격 임명 그리고 교육 체계 개선이 요구되었고 국내 부가형식증명 절차의 개선을 도출하였다.

When the wireless PKI is applied to 3G/4G mobile network which requires mutual authentication among all entities, the wired PKI procedure is not feasible for validating visited network's certifications because of the wireless environmental limitations. Also, if we depend on WAP based PKI, we cannot support confidence about certification validation since the information offered from visited network is not authenticated. Therefore, in this paper we consider various and unique characteristics of mobile environment for certification validation at 3G/4G mobile networks based on wireless PKI and then propose two certification validation procedures.

The interest about the installation and certification for miscellaneous non-required electrical equipment is being increased in the domestic aviation industries. In this paper, the minimum applicable requirements in Airworthiness Standard and the acceptable means of compliance which can be applied to installation and certification for miscellaneous non-required electrical equipment is being researched. As a case study, galley certification procedures are presented by electrical load analysis, installation of warning devices and installation requirements.

Korea is the only country in the world where the regulation of vehicle homologation has been changed from "Type Approval" to "Self-Certification". But there are some regulations that have not been fully changed, so they became double-regulations. In this research, we find out double-regulations in Self-Certification systems focused on "Specification Notice Procedure", and suggest a proposal of amendment to avoid duplication. Through the research, we can reduce unnecessary requirements about homologation, management of vehicle and administrative procedure significantly.

Under the necessity certification of railway supplies, an applicant should check the procedure of urban railway law and the new railway safety law. Currently, the Korean railway standards (KRS), formerly managed by Korea Railroad, have been managed by the Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation. According to Korean railway safety law and its ordinances, which were committed to Korea Railroad Research Institute. It were established for the guarantee of railway safety, the management of KRS including enactment and revision of technical standards for railway vehicle and components. In this investigation, the detailed management procedure will be introduced for the effective management of Certification of Railway Supplies.

Softwares in railway system are being used in the area of railway control system, directly associated to safety. Because the instinct characteristic of Software is uncertainty, Software development without safety insurance is very hazardous situation. In order to derive safety certification process in the railway system, certification and approval processes in the nuclear, aviation, and military area are studied. Software quality should be improved by two aspects : one is product aspect, another is process aspect. GS(Good Software) and ES(Excellent Software) certification can be exemplified in a product aspect approach. In those process certification, CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) or SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capability dEtermination : ISO/IEC15504) is being used as models for assessing process maturity of organization. Following the studies, safety management procedure in the railway system is suggested.

플레어 시스템은 해저 원유 시추 시 폐 가스 및 오일을 연소시키는 장비로 폐 연료 연소 시 발생하는 고 열원으로부터 선체, 장비 및 인명을 보호하기 위한 해양플랜트 기자재이다. 플레어 시스템은 유정 시험 장비 중의 하나로서 선급의 설계승인을 필수적으로 받아야 하는 주요 장비이다. 본 연구에서는 플레어 시스템의 설계 승인을 위한 작업 중 전산해석과 관련된 부분에 대해서 소개하고자 한다.
