  • The flow properties of xoncrete depend on form of fine aggregate, the ratio of voides of fine aggregate and cement paste So, in this study, investigated for the improvement of rheology properties on mortar and paste replaced by Zeolite $\circled1$ The slump flow have to do with correlation on yielding value of mortar respectirely. $\circled2$The increase ratio of strength Mortar and paste 10% replaced by Zeolite was presented significently but the slump flow was decteased stiffly as the increase of plastic viscosity at the ratio of replacement over 10%

  • As the chemical shrinkage and autogenous shrinkage of paste constitutes a large part of the shrinkage of high strength concrete, a good understanding of characteristics of chemical shrinkage and autogenous shrinkage is essential in order to understand chemical shrinkage and autogenous shrinkage of concrete. In this study, a preliminary study on effect of mineral admixture on chemical shrinkage and autogenous shrinkage of paste was compared.

  • It is necessary to calculate Apparent Activation Energy(Ea) in order to apply the equivalent age formula to predict compressive strength using the maturity method. For carbon reduction, it is necessary to consider the change of Ea by condition of GGBFS concrete, which is widely used today. In this study, as a basic study for the design of the compressive strength model of GGBFS concrete, the apparent activation energy of the GGBFS mixed paste was calculated through a calorimeter. The experiment was carried out at a hydration temperature of 10 to 30℃ with a paste test specimen having a GGBFS content of 0 to 80%. As a result, the GGBFS replacement rate of the paste increased, and Ea tended to increase as the temperature decreased.

  • Calcium phosphate cement (CPC) has been used as bone substitute successfully due to good biocompatibility and osteoconductivity. One of the important mechanical characteristics of CPC is flowablility, which can be evaluated by measuring rheological parameters. However, there have been few studies that measured rheological properties of CPC. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the rheological properties of CPC paste mixed with 2 kinds of setting solutions, 2% hydroxyprophyl methylcellulose (HPMC) and 35% polyacrylic acid (PAA). The CPC used was dicalcium phosphate dihydrate (DCPD). Rheological properties of CPC paste were measured using rheometer. The statistical analysis was carried out with Mann-whitney test with Bonferronis collection. CPC with both setting solutions showed shear thinning behavior. CPC with 2% HPMC showed signigicantly higher complex viscosity than CPC with 35% PAA(p<0.05).

  • Graft copolymerized polycarboxylate(PC)-type superplasticizers which have carboxylic acid with $\pi$ bond among the molecular structure and polyethyleneglycol methyl ether methacrylate(PMEM) were synthesized by free radical reaction. To investigate their chemical structures and molecular weights, PCs were analyzed by FT-IR(fourier transform spectrometer), C-NMR(nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer) and GPC(gel permeation chromatograpy). When types of carboxylic acids(methacrylic acid, acrylic acid, maleic anhydride, and itaconic acid) and molar ratios of carboxylic acid/PMEM) were varied, adsorptive and fluid characteristics in cement paste were discussed. As the molar ratio of carboxylic acid/PMEM) was higher, amount adsorbed on the cement particles and the fluidity of cement paste by mini-slump spread testing method were increased. When main chain of PC was methacrylic acid, a larger amount was adsorbed on the cement particles. PCs with acrylic acid as main chain showed higher dispersing power. However, it was confirmed that PCs with dicarboxylic acids(maleic anhydride, itaconic acid) didn't have good adsorption and dispersibility.

  • This dissertation is focused on the study over the improvement for the early strength of belite-rich cement(BRC). For this purpose, the initial hydration behaviors according to addition of different calcium sulfate types were evaluated. From the observations by XRD, DSC and SEM, the BRC II and III with the addition of natural anhydrate and flue gas desulphurization(FGD) gypsum, respectively, formed much ettringite after 7 days more than the BRC I with the addition of chemical gypsum. The compressive strength of the BRC II and III developed outstandingly due to the formation of calcium aluminate hydrate within pores of hardened BRC paste. Especially, in the case of BRC III adding FGD with low impurities, the early as well as long term compressive strengths were shown very high, compared with other specimens.

  • In the course of cement hydration it was found that the addition of polyvinyl alcohol(contracted as PVA. here after) only in the cement paste could more influence on the set-retardation the depression of heat evol-ution rate than that of montmorillonit only or PVA-montmorillonie intercalation complex (PMIC) due to the effective adsorption of PVA on cement particles. The improved mechanical strength by addition of montmorillonite and PMIC was observed remarkably up to 0.05wt% due to the decrease of macro-pores caused by lowed viscosity or the acceleration of hydration reaction.

  • The paper considers a theoretical model for the study of the process of transfer of sulfate ions in saturated porous media - mineral composites. In its turn, the model treats diffusion of sulfate ions into cement based composites, accounting for simultaneous effects such as filling of micro-capillaries with ions and chemical products and liquid push out of them. The proposed numerical algorithm enables one to account for those simultaneous effects, as well as to model the diffusive behavior of separate sections of the considered volume, such as inert fillers. The cases studied illustrate the capabilities of the proposed model and those of the algorithm developed to study diffusion, considering the specimen complex configuration. Computations show that the theoretical assumptions enable one to qualitatively estimate the experimental evidence and the capabilities of the studied composite. The results found can be used to both assess the sulfate corrosion in saturated systems and predict and estimate damage of structures built of cement-based mineral composites.

  • This paper has been researched that the earlier compressive strength of the cement pastes containing nano-TiO2 particle curing 1day, 3days and 7days. For the compressive strength measurements, all samples(dimensions 50×50×50mm) were prepared in accordance with ASTM C109. The compressive strength of the specimens with nano-TiO2 at the early age(1day, 3days and 7days) stage was lower than that of the reference group. Therefore, nano-TiO2 has little positive effect on the improvement of the compressive strength of cement pastes during early ages.
