Recently, it is the global warming phenomenon because of the greenhouse gas exhaustion caused by and the environment problem is serious. And it is the situation where the problem of the exhaustion of resource because of the indiscriminate picking of the that is the raw material of the cement, limestone and natural aggregate are emphasized. In addition, thus the cement reduction amount of use and substitute material research is the urgent actual condition with the gas emission, which here it is generated in conducting compression molding in the building stone manufacturing process performance degradation phenomenon and fire resistance, and problem of the durability. Therefore, in this research, because of being the magnesia phosphate ceramics, the waste porcelain is applied and the anti-wearing character of the artificial stone according to it tries to be investigated.

Coal ash, a material generated from coal-fired power plants, can be classified as fly ash and bottom ash. The amount of domestic fly ash generation is almost 6.84 million tons per year, while the amount of bottom ash generation is 1.51 million tons. The fly ash is commonly used as a concrete admixture and a subsidiary raw material in cement fabrication process. And some amount of bottom ash is used as a material for embankment and block. However, the recyclable amount of the ash is limited since it could cause deterioration of physical properties. In Korea, the ashes are simply mixed and used as a replacement material for cement. In this study, an attempt was made to mechanically activate the ash by grinding process in order to increase recycling rates of the fly ash. Activated fly ash was prepared by controlling the mill types and the milling times and characteristics of the mortar containing the activated fly ash was analyzed. When the ash was ground by using a vibratory mill, physical properties of the mortar mixed with such fly ash were higher than the mortar mixed with fly ash ground by a planetary mill.
Due to enhanced construction requirement, ready mixed concrete are being popular day by day. The current study aimed to develop ready mixed concrete using GBFS contained cement and determine its properties of fresh and hardened states. A real scale experiment was set up in a ready mixed plant for measuring workability and compressive strength. The workability was tested after mixing (within 5 minutes), 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 minutes of the running of bulk carrier. The ready mixed carrier employed spinning motion i.e., rotating around its axis with 20 RPM and running on road with 1km/h speed. The mixing ratio of cement: sand:gravel, water to cement ratio, super plasticizer were, 1:1.73:2.47, 0.40 and 6% of cement, respectively. The chemical composition of raw material was determined using XRF and the properties of cements were measured according to ASTM standards. The experimental results confirm that the cement with composition of 6.89% of GBFS, 4% of Gypsum and 89.11% of clinker showed the good compressive strength and workability of concrete after 150 minutes of the spinning motion in bulk carrier.
The purpose of this study is to examine whether cementitious powder separated from waste concrete can be used as an alternative raw material to limestone and reduce the usage of natural resource (limestone) and $CO_2$ emission based on recycling cementitious powder from waste concrete. Experiments actually analyzed the chemical composition of cementitious powder and performed hyperthermia analysis, measurement of free CaO and XRD analysis to measure the degree of recovery of hydration in the model of cementitious powder manufactured based on chemical composition. These were performed in each cementitious powder model at different calcination temperatures such as $900^{\circ}C$, $1200^{\circ}C$, $1300^{\circ}C$, $1400^{\circ}C$ and $1450^{\circ}C$. Through the experiments, it was found that the recovery of hydration was at a level which can be used as the alternative raw material for limestone, but the replacement ratio was directly affected by the degree of mixing of fine aggregate in less than $150{\mu}m$, which cannot be separated from cementitious powder. It was shown that there was no difference in the production of compounds involved in hydration at calcination temperatures of $1200^{\circ}C$ or higher. Therefore, to pursue the replacement of limestone and reduction of greenhouse gas by recycling cementitious powder, the development of technology to efficiently separate aggregate fine powder is required.
The possibility of reusing the paper sludge as a raw material of composition board mixed with cement was investigated. For the measurement of physical and mechanical properties, wood coment board and sludge combinend cement boards were fabricated with the three weigh ratios of paper sludge 10 % (SI), 20 % (S II) and 30 % (S III) to cement weight. For adding the cement hardning, $CaCl_2$ was also added to each mixed paste with the ratio of 1 %, 3 % and 5 % to cement weight, respectively. Crystal formation in paper sludge-, wood-cement composites was observed by scanning electron microscope. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Density and partial compressive strength of each specimens were relatively high in the order of sludge I, sludge II, Korean pine, Italian poplar and sludge III, sludge I, Korean pine, sludge II, Italian poplar and sludge III. 2. The mechanical properties of sludge-cement boards (S I and II) were higher than that of wood-cement boards prepared with Korean pine and Italian poplar. But the mechanical properties of wood-cement boards were improved by the adding of $CaCl_2$. 3. Water absorption and thickness swelling were increased with increase of sludge content to cement weight. 4. In SEM observation, sludge-cement composites showed sufficiently formed crystals but wood-cement composites showed poorly formed crystals.
Recently, the enviroment problem is serious due to the global warming phenomenon because of the greenhouse gas exhaustion. In addition, the effort to reduce the problem in the situation where the severity of the destruction of environment because of the indiscriminate picking of the that is the raw material of the cement, Accordingly, in the interior of a country, the industrial site using the artificial stone instead of the natural stone is increased. Thus the cement reduction amount of use and substitute material research is the urgent actual condition with the gas emission, which here it is generated in conducting compression molding in the building stone manufacturing process performance degradation phenomenon and fire resistance, and problem of the durability. limestone and aggregate and exhaustion of resource are emphasized is continued. In this research, the fly ash and waste porcelain is applied to the magnesia phosphate composite (MPC) and the characteristic of the artificial stone according to it tries to be looked into.
Portland cement has been restricted in applications to ecological area because of its environmental harmfulness and the $CO_2$ emission during a production process. Geopolymer materials attract some attention as an inorganic binder due to their superior mechanical and eco-friendly properties. In this study, geopolymer-based cement was prepared by using aluminosilicate minerals (flyash, meta-kaolin) with alkaline-activators and its compressive strength with concentration of alkaline-activators was investigated. Aluminosilicate-based geopolymers were obtained by mixing aluminosilicate minerals, alkaline solution (NaOH or KOH with different concentration) and water-glass under the vigorous stirring for 20 min. Compressive strength after curing at $30^{\circ}C$ for 3 days increased with the concentration of alkaline-activator due to the enhanced polymerization of the aluminosilicate materials and dense microstructure. Aluminosilicate-based geopolymer cement using KOH as an alkaline-activator showed high compressive strength compared with NaOH activator. In addition, geopolymer cement using fly-ash as a raw material showed higher compressive strength than that of meta-kaolin.
With the recent increase in demand for construction there has been an increase in the use of the raw material cement when mixing concrete; managing quality of cement powder, therefore, is most important. Therefore this study sought at first to develop a rapid appraisal using the Hydrometer method researched previously, for it was thought that when suspending cement in a solution and applying the Hydrometer method to it the temperature changes in the solution would have a great effect on the density value of the Hydrometer method; yet there has been no report of such influence factors. Therefore after analyzing the influence factors that the type of suspending solution and changes in temperature could have on rapid appraisal of fineness, using the Hydrometer method, this study was able to determine that using water at 20℃ was the most appropriate, and with every temperature increase of 10℃ the value of fineness should also be increased above or below 7% as well.

Currently, abundant wastes from the palm oil refining process have been generated which are hard to handle. Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) is the solid waste from this process and leads the cost of elimination to the company. This study aims to utilize the SBE as the alternative material in the non-fired wall tiles. The main raw materials used in non-fired wall tiles consist of laterite soil, fluvial sand, and Portland cement. The experimental formulas have been conducted and divided into 3 groups by varying the percentage of the SBE in main raw materials. The specimens of material mixture have been produced by uniaxial pressing at 100 bars, dimensions in $50{\times}100{\times}8mm$. These specimens are sprayed with water and cured in the air for 7 days. After that, bending strength and water absorption test of these specimens has been performed. It can be concluded that the best formula with the percentage of laterite soil, fluvial sand, Portland cement, and SBE are 60.94%, 13.125%, 22.5%, and 3.435%, respectively. Its bending strength and %water absorption are 0.68 MPa and 5.64%. Material costs of specimen are approximately $0.00276 USD/100g. Furthermore, the comparison of curing period between 7 days and 30 days has been performed. The 30 days of curing period can improve the bending strength of the specimen, but there is no effect on water absorption.

This research concerns the effect of kaolin as material of cement admixture. which has the advantage of low price and high adaptability. Kaolin, a kind of soil, is well known as a raw material of pottery. which is widely scat-tered on the earth (especially in Korea). This research shows the method and process for activating kaolin to have the properties of a cement admixture through experiment. In the experiments, kaolin is baked in high temperature and then cooled suddenly to be activated. The temperature zone and time span, on which kaolin is activated are examined. The research looks over the effect of the activated kaolin based on several criteria regarding to chemical and physical characteristic of general admixtures. The results of this research are as follows; kaolin start activation at the temperature above 50$0^{\circ}C$ and make ends of activation at the temperature below 95$0^{\circ}C$ and there was little effect by the change of duration. It is concluded that compressive strength can be increased by putting activated kaolin in the concrete and the activated kaolin is good for water resistance and anti-chemical , and that it is effective for protecting the leakage of hazardous article like Cl- and for protecting damage by an organic salt like acid. The activated kaolin of proper temperature and time is effective in compressive strength, salt resistance and acid resistance. The adaptability of activated kaolin as a cement admixture was shown through this research.
