  • Recently, products of electronic industry and related parts are required to have the thickness thinner and thinner to reduce the part weight. To go with this trend, LGP(light guide plate) of LCD-BLU(Liquid Crystal Display-Back Light Unit: It is one of kernel parts of LCD) for cell phone has the thickness of ${\sim}0.3mm$ and the battery case of cell phone has ${\sim}0.25mm$. Accordingly, high speed injection molding is required to mold products which have thinner parts. To achieve high speed injection and proper control of hydraulic unit, various design was applied to conventional injection unit. In the present paper, we concentrated on the molding stability of hydro-mechanical high speed injection machine to make an LGP of 0.3mm thickness.

  • The growth of the critical size bubble by diffusion process in viscoelastic medium was treated by an integral method for the concentration boundary layer adjacent to the bubble wall. In this study, we obtained a set of the first order time dependent equations to obtain bubble radius and gas pressure inside the bubble simultaneously. The calculated final cell sizes depending on the initial saturation pressure are in close agreement with the observed ones. The governing equations developed in this study may be used in polymer processing of microcellular foams.

  • Plants are unable to relocate themselves to a more favorable location and thus have to deal with developmental programs and environmental cues wherever they happen to be. It is yet largely unknown how plant cells coordinate cellular activities and architectures to accomplish developmental processes and respond to environmental changes. By identifying and establishing a new cellular model system, we have discovered that two neighboring cell types in the abscission zone (AZ) of Arabidopsis flowers coordinate their activities to ensure a precise "cut" through a highly restricted area of plant tissue to bring about organ separation. From this perspective, we further discuss the essence of cellular coordination in AZ, the key molecules controlling the organ separation, and relevant implications.

  • To operate the automatic devices of manufacturing process more effectively and to solve the needs of the resource sharing, network technology is applied to the unit control devices located in common manufacturing zone and operated by connecting them. This paper introduces deign and test operation of cell system for the management of multivendor PLC by applying to wall paper process based on the manufacturing standardization of CIM. The analysis of designed multivendor PLC group is performed by selecting the parameters such as variation of data packet size and node number of PLC ladder logic program and variation by analyzing the corresponding variation values of token rotation time and waiting time for the system operation. For the method of the analysis, the equation is considering the overhead such as indicated packet service time and transmission safety margin for PLC network connection in M/G/1 queue model, and it is applied to the cell system and PLC group manage-ment for operation .Through the experiment,it is found that the realtime processing is possible with expanded and better result than the resuit obtained by Jayasumana.Browaka with PLC scan time considered, response lower limit of 10-20 msec. data packet size not more than 50 bytes.and the number of nodes less than 40.

  • Objectives : The aim of this work is the approaching of properties-flavours theory and the making of morphological standard in Artemisiae herba. Methods : The properties-flavours theory were attempted with bibliographic method and various climate-information. The external-internal morphological standards were determined by using stereoscope and butanol series. Conclusions : The following is a list the conclusion of the approaching of properties-flavours theory and how to make the standard of morphological standard in artemisiae herba. 1. The significant analysis for the artemisiae herba as the properties-flavours theory, is a follow-up survey of the effect written in the official oriental medicine book 2. The other analytic methods according to the gathering time, processing or storing system or especially nature or growth environment(altitude, temperature,. the mean moisture, and the agronomical survey) by way of the explanation of properties-flavours theory appears so many insufficiency at the many cases. 3. In the case of artemisiae herba., there are 2 cases(Artemisia capillaris $T_{HUNB}$ and A. iwayomogi $K_{ITAMURA}$) in current and recently A. aruwa L. is substituted for artemisiae herba in circulation. 4. The external and internal characteristics according to the shape of original plant or herbal states, entirely correspond to all the official oriental medicine boo 5. According to the place of productiot the difference appeals. (1) A. capillatis $T_{HUNB}$. has leaves like a fine thread, and A. iwayomogi $K_{ITAMURA}$ has big and wide leaves, and shows some reddish color, and A. aruwa L. has narrow leaves, its section lines long vertically. (2) In the internal shapes, as the A. capillatis $T_{HUNB}$. leaves', upper epidermal cell wall shows relatively straight form, its all upper- lower epidemical cell wall has a stoma, and calcium rosette crystal is relatively few. As iwayomogi $K_{ITAMURA}$, all upper- lower epidermal cell wall is wavelike concave, and hypodermics has many stoma and many calcium rosette crystal. (3) In the internal shapes of A. aruwa L. the shape of leaves' epidermal cell is irregular and has so many non-glandular hair nad glandular hair on its surface.

  • $Al_2O_3$ foam is an important engineering material because of its exceptional high-temperature stability, low thermal conductivity, good wear resistance, and stability in hostile chemical environment. In this work, $Al_2O_3$ foams were designed to control the microstructure, porosity, and cell size by varying different parameters such as the amount of amphiphile, solid loading, and stirring speed. Particle stabilized direct foaming technique was used and the $Al_2O_3$ particles were partially hydrophobized upon the adsorption of valeric acid on particles surface. The foam stability was drastically improved when these particles were irreversibly adsorbed at the air/water interface. However, there is still considerable ambiguity with regard to the effect of process parameters on the microstructure of particle-stabilized foam. In this study, the $Al_2O_3$ foam with open and closed-cell structure, cell size ranging from $20{\mu}m$ to $300{\mu}m$ having single strut wall and porosity from 75% to 93% were successfully fabricated by sintering at $1600^{\circ}C$ for 2 h in air.

  • RBC (red blood cell) deformability is one of factors inducing blood shear thinning effect. Reduction of RBC deformability increases blood viscosity in high shear region. In this study, 3D printed chip with proper distribution of wall shear rate (WSR) was proposed to measure RBC deformability of blood samples. To fabricate 3D printed chip, the design of 3D printed chip determined through numerical simulation was modified based on the resolution of the 3D printer. For the estimation of pressure drop in the 3D printed chip, two bypass outlets with low and high WSR are exposed to atmospheric pressure through the needles. By positioning the outlet of needles in the gravity direction, the formation of droplets at bypass outlets can be captured by smartphone. Through image processing and fast Fourier transform (FFT) analysis, the frequency of droplet formation was analyzed. Since the frequency of droplet formation is related with the pressure at bypass, high pressure drop caused by reduction of RBC deformability can be estimated by monitoring the formation of blood droplets using the smartphone.

  • Visible-light-driven wide bandgap semiconductor photocatalysts were commonly developed via doping or coupling with another narrow bandgap metal oxide. However, these approaches required extra processing. The aim of study was to evaluate the photocatalytic performance of narrow bandgap $WO_x$ nanoparticles. A mixture of $WO_2$ and $WO_3$ nanoparticles were synthesized using solution precipitation technique. The photodegradation of RhB by these nanoparticles more effective in UV light than in visible light. In antibacterial susceptibility assay, $WO_x$ nanoparticles demonstrated good antibacterial against Gram-positive bacteria. The cell wall of bacterial was the main determinant in antibacterial effect other than $W^{4+}/W^{6+}$ ions and ROS.

  • Several kinds of organic acids, alcohols, aromatic compounds and sugars as carbon sources were tested in order to produce the cell mass of Rhizopus oryzae which is used in part of food processing or organic acid fermentation. Sodium acetate among them was good enough for carbon source as well as glucose under the concentration of one percent. All nitrogenous substances tested such as ammonium, nitrate or organic nitrogen compounds were well used by this strain of Rhizopus oryzae as nitrogen source. Ammonium sulfate among inorganic nitrogen compounds was most utilized as a nitrogen source in glucose or acetate medium. This strain did not require any growth factors such as yeast extract. The following composition of medium was therefore determined in order to produce the cell mass of Rhizopus oryzae: Na-acetate 1 %, (NH$_4$)$_2$SO$_4$ 0.2%, $K_2$HPO$_4$ 0.05%, MgSO$_4$.7$H_2O$ 0.01%, NaCl 0.01% (PH 5.5). The cell wall of mycelium grown in above medium was lysed optimally at pH 6.5 and 5$0^{\circ}C$ by the action of Strepzyme 115-5. On producing protoplast from mycelium by enzymatic action, almost all of the mycelium was damaged after 4hrs of treatment.
