실업계 고등학생의 과학선호도와 인과요인 분석 (An Analysis of Vocational High School Students Preference for Science and Its Causal Factors)

  • 과학교육에서 흥미나 신념과 같은 정의적 특성에 대한 강조는 점점 부각되고 있으나 실제 학생들의 과학에 대한 흥미는 감소하는 추세이며 특히 과학 관련 진로 기피 현상은 최근 심각한 사회문제가 되고 있다. 특히 실업계 고등학생의 경우에는 과학에 대한 기피가 더욱 심하고 국가사회나 과학교육계에서 관련 연구도 별로 없다. 본 연구에서는 실업계 고등학생의 과학 관련된 정의적 특성을 과학선호도로 정의하고 이를 측정하며 과학선호도의 인과요인을 분석하여 실업계 고등학생의 과학선호도 증진을 위한 시사점을 도출하였다. 여기서 과학선호도는 다차원성을 가진 정의적 특성으로 과학과 과학학습에 대한 감정적 반응을 포함하여 과학 관련 행동 의지와 과학 관련 가치를 포함하는 개념이며, 이를 측정하기 위해 범주별로 리커트형의 설문을 개발하였다. 또, 과학선호도의 인과요인을 개인의 능력이나 성향, 가정환경과 같은 개인적 요인과, 학교안 과학교육의 내용과 보상, 학교밖 과학관련 활동과 같은 교육적 요인, 과학기술에 대한 경제적 보상이나 사회문화적 분위기가 같은 사회적 요인으로 구분하여 역시 리커트형 설문 및 자유응답형 질문을 통해 측정하였다. 과학선호도에 영향을 미치는 인과관계는 선형회귀분석과 공변량 구조분석을 통하여 확인하였다. 과학선호도 조사 결과 실업고 학생의 과학선호도는 대체로 낮은 편이다. 과학 내용에 대한 호기심과 과학에 대한 가치는 비교적 높으나 과학학습에 대해서, 특히 과제 실행이나 진로 선택 등 과학을 선호하여 행동으로 실천하려는 의지 면에서는 부정적인 태도를 보이고 있다. 이러한 과학선호도 실태에 영향을 주는 요인으로 개인적 요인은 과학에 대한 감정반응과 행동의지에 직접적인 영향을 주고, 사회적 요인은 과학에 대한 감정반응과 가치확립에 직접 영향을 준다. 한편 교육적 요인은 과학선호도에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것이 아니라 개인적 요인과 사회적 요인에 영향을 줌으로 인해 결과적으로 과학선호도의 모든 범주에 고루 영향을 준다.

공정성이 비인격적 감독과 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향: 비인격적 감독의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Fairness on Abusive Supervision and Organizational Citizenship Behavior: Focusing on the Mediating Effect of Abusive Supervision)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 분배공정성, 절차공정성, 상호작용공정성이 비인격적 감독과 그리고 비인격적 감독이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 하였으며, 동시에 비인격적 감독이 분배공정성, 절차공정성, 상호작용공정성 각각이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향 관계에서 매개변수의 역할을 하는지를 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 표본은 영남지역의 외식업체에서 근무하고 있는 종사원 중 상사로부터 비인격적 감독을 경험한 적이 있는 총 376명의 종사원으로부터 받은 설문지를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 실증분석 결과 분배공정성과 상호작용공정성이 비인격적 감독에 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤으며, 비인격적 감독이 조직시민행동에 부(-)의 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 비인격적 감독의 매개효과는 분배공정성과 상호작용공정이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향관계에서 발생한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석 결과가 시사하는 점으로 외식업 경영자는 종사원들이 서로 상호 신뢰하는 조직문화를 형성하도록 노력하여야 하며, 이러기 위해서 교육훈련이 필요하다고 하겠다. 외식업체는 과도한 육체노동과 감정노동으로 인하여 비인격적 감독자가 많이 생기는 경향이 있는 관계로 교육훈련을 통한 종사원 상호신뢰의 조직문화를 형성하는 것이 필요하다고 하겠다.

환경서비스업과 물류서비스업의 예측 및 인과성 검정 (Prediction and Causality Examination of the Environment Service Industry and Distribution Service Industry)

  • Purpose - The world now recognizes environmental disruption as a serious issue when regarding growth-oriented strategies; therefore, environmental preservation issues become pertinent. Consequently, green distribution is continuously emphasized. However, studying the prediction and association of distribution and the environment is insufficient. Most existing studies about green distribution are about its necessity, detailed operation methods, and political suggestions; it is necessary to study the distribution service industry and environmental service industry together, for green distribution. Research design, data, and methodology - ARIMA (auto-regressive moving average model) was used to predict the environmental service and distribution service industries, and the Granger Causality Test based on VAR (vector auto regressive) was used to analyze the causal relationship. This study used 48 quarters of time-series data, from the 4th quarter in 2001 to the 3rd quarter in 2013, about each business type's production index, and used an unchangeable index. The production index about the business type is classified into the current index and the unchangeable index. The unchangeable index divides the current index into deflators to remove fluctuation. Therefore, it is easy to analyze the actual production index. This study used the unchangeable index. Results - The production index of the distribution service industry and the production index of the environmental service industry consider the autocorrelation coefficient and partial autocorrelation coefficient; therefore, ARIMA(0,0,2)(0,1,1)4 and ARIMA(3,1,0)(0,1,1)4 were established as final prediction models, resulting in the gradual improvement in every production index of both types of business. Regarding the distribution service industry's production index, it is predicted that the 4th quarter in 2014 is 114.35, and the 4th quarter in 2015 is 123.48. Moreover, regarding the environmental service industry's production index, it is predicted that the 4th quarter in 2014 is 110.95, and the 4th quarter in 2015 is 111.67. In a causal relationship analysis, the environmental service industry impacts the distribution service industry, but the distribution service industry does not impact the environmental service industry. Conclusions - This study predicted the distribution service industry and environmental service industry with the ARIMA model, and examined the causal relationship between them through the Granger causality test based on the VAR Model. Prediction reveals the seasonality and gradual increase in the two industries. Moreover, the environmental service industry impacts the distribution service industry, but the distribution service industry does not impact the environmental service industry. This study contributed academically by offering base line data needed in the establishment of a future style of management and policy directions for the two industries through the prediction of the distribution service industry and the environmental service industry, and tested a causal relationship between them, which is insufficient in existing studies. The limitations of this study are that deeper considerations of advanced studies are deficient, and the effect of causality between the two types of industries on the actual industry was not established.

직업능력개발 ODA사업의 성과 결정요인 분석 (Analysis of Performance Determinants of ODA in Technical and Vocational Education and Training)

  • 본 연구에서는 ODA로 수행한 직업능력개발 사업의 성과 결정요인을 분석하기 위하여, 개발도상국에서 수행한 설문결과를 가지고 FsQCA를 적용하여 사업의 중장기목표 달성정도를 나타내는 효과성과 단기목표 달성정도를 나타내는 영향력의 결정요인을 분석하였다. 분석결과와 시사점을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사업의 효과성이 높기 위해서는 두 개의 해법이 존재하는데, 적합성, 지속가능성 및 영향력이 높거나 또는 적합성, 영향력 및 효율성이 높은 경우에 달성된다. 둘째, 사업의 영향력이 높기 위해서는 두 개의 해법이 존재하는데, 적합성, 지속가능성 및 효과성이 높거나 또는 적합성, 효과성 및 효율성이 높은 경우에 달성된다. 셋째, 효과성의 두 해법과 영향력의 두 해법은 등결과성을 보이고 있다. 넷째, 효과성 분석에서는 적합성과 영향력이 핵심요소이며, 영향력 분석에서는 적합성과 효과성이 핵심요소로 나타났고, 지속가능성과 효율성은 상호 대체가능한 주변요소로 나타났다. 다섯째, 사업의 성과에 영향을 미치는 원인변수는 단독으로 영향을 미치기 보다는 셋 이상의 원인변수가 결합해서 영향을 줌을 살펴보았다. 따라서 원인변수 단독보다는 원인변수의 집합을 고려해서 사업을 수행해야 소기의 성과를 거둘 수 있다는 것을 검증했다.

Association Between Serum Bilirubin and Atrial Fibrillation: A Mendelian Randomization Study

  • Background and Objectives: The association between bilirubin and atrial fibrillation (AF) has been evaluated previously in observational studies but with contradictory results. This study evaluated the causal association between serum bilirubin level and AF using Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. Methods: This cross-sectional study includes 8,977 participants from the Dong-gu Study. In the observational analysis, multivariate logistic regression was performed to evaluate the association between bilirubin and prevalent AF. To evaluate the causal association between bilirubin and AF, MR analysis was conducted by using the UGT1A1 rs11891311 and rs4148323 polymorphisms as instrumental variables. Results: Elevated serum bilirubin levels were associated with an increased risk for AF in observational analysis (total bilirubin: odds ratio [OR], 1.31; 95% confidence interval [95% CI], 1.15-1.48 per 1 standard deviation [SD]; direct bilirubin: OR, 1.31; 95% CI, 1.18-1.46 per 1 SD), whereas the genetically predicted serum bilirubin levels in MR analysis did not show this association (total bilirubin: OR, 1.02; 95% CI, 0.67-1.53 per 1 SD; direct bilirubin: OR, 1.03; 95% CI, 0.61-1.73 per 1 SD). Conclusions: Genetically predicted bilirubin levels were not associated with prevalent AF. Thus, the observational association between serum bilirubin levels and AF may be noncausal and affected by reverse causality or unmeasured confounding.

가정경제복지에 대한 객관적, 주관적 평가 변인의 영향력 (Effects of Objective, Subjective variables on the household economic well-being)

  • This study focused on examining the effects of Objective, Subjective variables on the household economic well-being. Data were collected from 254 financial managers in Seoul. City. Results show that the Causal model supported hypothesis. Almost of the hypothesis were supported and Perceived adequacy of resources variable was mediated between Input variables and Satisfaction with financial situation variable. The present study implicated that this model apply to family resource management research.

  • The purpose of this article is to investigate the causal effects among socio-economic variables, consumer altitudes towards consumerism, the levels of participation in social organization, experience of consumer problems, consumer complaining behavior and the participating intention in consumer movement. The consumer attitudes towards consumerism, the levels of participation in social organization, the consumer complaining behavior exert direct effect on the participating intention in consumer movement. Income, education, age and experience of consumer problems exert indirect effect on the participating intention in consumer movement mediating the intervening variables like the consumer attitudes towards consumerism, the experience of consumer problems, the consumer complaining behavior.

  • Purpose of this study was to comprehend the influence that worker's lob stress caused by the distinct characteristics of construction work affect on construction management. Proven through previous studies of job stress measurement method, physical environment, job demands, job autonomy, interpersonal conflict are derived as typical factors. We analyzed causal relationships between the factors using structural equation modeling under the hypothesis that job stress have effect on the construction management. As a result, successful job stress management for construction management plan is proposed.

초기 청소년의 학년에 따른 개인적 변인, 사회적 지지와 자아존중감 간의 인과적 관련성 (The Causal Relationship of Early Adolescents' Personal Variables and Social Support on Self-Esteem According to Grade)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the causal relationship of early adolescents' personal variables and social support on their self-esteem by grade. Information on 226 6th graders from elementary schools and 226 1st year students from middle schools in Busan was collected. Early adolescents' prosocial behavior, academic achievement, social support, and self-esteem were assessed using their self-reports. For the data analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t -test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression were used. The collected data were analyzed by the SPSS ver. 21.0 program for Windows. The major findings were as follows: first, early adolescents' prosocial behavior, academic achievement, social support demonstrated a significant difference between grades. Second, peers' social support was the most powerful determinant of self-esteem in both the 6th graders from elementary schools and the 1st year middle school students. Third, prosocial behavior had the greatest total effect on self-esteem in the case of both groups of students. The middle schoolers' academic achievement had no causal effect on their self-esteem. The findings from this study indicate that early adolescents' personal variables and social support are important elements that affect their self-esteem differently depending on their grade. Further, the findings of this study can be used as fundamental data to develop a teaching plan and provide counseling for early adolescents in order to increase their self-esteem.

How Shipping Company Satisfies Shippers Through Service Quality in South Korea: The Mediation Role of Trust

  • Purpose - This study aims to verify the direct causal relationship between cost competitiveness and global network competitiveness, which are the tangible service quality factors determined by the shipping company, which in turn affect the shipper's customer satisfaction. Additionally, we empirically investigate the intangible, related service qualities determined by shipping companies, such as operational competitiveness and customer relationship quality, and how these then positively affect customer satisfaction through the formation of trust. Therefore, we examine the mediating effect of trust formation among different contractors for shipping services. Design/methodology - In order to examine the shipping company's tangible and intangible service-qualities perceived by the shipper on customer satisfaction and the process of trust formation between contractors, we collected valid data from 114 respondents out of 200 distributed questionnaires. The respondents consisted of domestic freight forwarders who engage with domestic and international shipping and logistics agencies. Descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability, convergent and discriminant validities, common method bias, and PLS-SEM (partial least square-structural equation model) were analyzed using the program STATA 16. Findings - The findings of this study are as follows. First, our results showed that all hypotheses assumed in this study had statistically significant supporting evidence. Second, it was found that the mediating effect of trust was significant in affecting the quality of intangible service- qualities for customer satisfaction. Third, through supplementary analysis, we found that the global network competitiveness of domestic shipping companies will increase in importance in the future. In conclusion, the theoretical and practical implications of these findings are presented. Originality/value - This study reaffirmed the traditional causal relationship between customer satisfaction and tangible service quality. Additionally, we also contribute to the literature on the understanding of the causal relationship between trust formation and customer satisfaction through intangible interactions from a long-term perspective.
