Currently, many universities offer a variety of programs for students to improve their knowledge and expertise for their career development. Because each program's success depends on students' active participation and passion, the university makes a lot of efforts to motivate them enhance the loyalty toward the school. Several universities in Korea operate their own loyalty program based on their students' activities. However, we need to develop a distinctive loyalty program to suit universities' education environment because the purpose of education is different from existing commercial purpose. This study shows the process that improves problems of loyalty programs that are operated by the K University and suggests new ideas based on design thinking methods. Also, this study includes a process that changes standardized and involuntary loyalty program to interesting loyalty program that induces students' voluntary participation through combining with gamification concept. The method that we suggest in this study is expected to extend various fields.

The objectives of this study were to investigate the present status and problems of rural youth education, and to recommend desirable directions for improvement of rural youth education in Korea. The major findings of the study were: 1) programs of activities and financial supports for rural youth education were insufficient, 2) linkages of formal education with non-formal education were rather weak, 3) programs for humane characteristics and affective domain development were rare, and 4) opportunities for recreation and leisure, and career guidance were limited. For better rural youth education in the future, this study suggests; 1) the more programs should be made available for rural youths considering their developmental stages, 2) to strengthen the linkages between school education and non-formal education, 3) to give more opportunities for recreation and leisure, 4) to emphasize career guidance opportunities for the rural youths, 5) to develop programs for improving affective and character development, and 6) more governmental support should be given to empower rural youth educations.

The aim of this study was to examine middle school students' career attitude maturity with five career elements(career decisiveness, goal orientation, confidence, preparation, and independence) related to relational(parent, teacher, friend) and school adjustment (school life, instruction, environment) variables. To accomplish this, 467 collected data was passed through correlation, and simple and multiple regression analysis using SPSS win 12. The main finding was that friend's support was highly correlated to and significantly affected career preparation and independence of the students. School life and instruction were also highly correlated to their career preparation. Parents' and teachers' support affected their career decisiveness. Their school life was an important factor to influence career decisiveness, preparation, and independence of the students. Generally, friends' support and school life of the students were the most important factors that affected the students' career preparation and independence. From the findings, this study suggests that middle schools need to provide more vocational education, diverse after-school activities, and teacher training to support middle school students' career attitude maturity.

The purpose of this study is to develope the teaching materials of career education for the 'Information and Communication Technology and Our Life' unit in the technology education. As preparation phase, in order to choose the suitable contents for career education, we analyzed the technology education curriculum and 'Information and Communication Technology and our Life' unit of technology and home economics. And then we compared and analyzed the existing related researches. After content analysis of the teaching materials for career education, we mapped the contents into career education area. In the 'Design' step of teaching, we extracted the unit design components after analyzing 'Development in Information and Communication Technology' unit of eleven text books used in 2007 revised curriculum In the 'Introduction', 'Activity', 'Arrangement' steps of teaching, by applying the SHIP model, one of career education program model, we develop the teaching materials. Then, we get expert evaluation using questionnaire and improve the suitability of the teaching materials. The results are as followings: First, our teaching materials reflect the development history of information and communication technology well, show the features of career education, and are suitable to middle school students as the teaching materials. Second, our teaching materials can help students to face various jobs related with the development of Information and communication technology, to have more interests and exploring opportunities about 'Information and Communication Technology' subject. Third, our teaching materials can help teachers to use it for the career education of 'Information and Communication Technology and our Life' unit of 2007 revised curriculum in the class time. Our teaching materials can also be used in the extra activity related to career education and the Creative Experience Activities. Furthermore, since 2009 revised curriculum includes the career education unit in the 'Information and Communication Technology' subject, our teaching materials can be used partially as the teaching materials in the future.

The main objective of this study was to examine the effects of family-friendly culture in various organizations in the private sectors on employee self-reported work-family balance and qualities of lives. It also attempted to clarify whether employee perceived work-family culture would vary according to size and type of organization, gender, and dual career partnership. The data came from 365 married full-time workers employed in a wide variety of organizations located in Seoul and GyeongGi-Do. The major findings of this study were as follows: Work-family culture was perceived more family-friendly in large-sized organizations and consumer industries. Female employees and workers in dual-career partnerships perceived the work-family culture of their organizations less family-friendly. The hierarchical multiple regression analyses revealed that firm size, supervisory support for employees' family activities, and the perception of negative career development opportunities as a consequence of utilizing family-friendly policies significantly predicted employees' work-family balance and qualities of lives, while organizational time demands having no significant effects on them. The implications of study results were discussed.

The new STEAM program suggested in this paper aims at helping students to have interest in information security engineering experts and to design their career creatively through the project on future promising career. The program was designed to help teachers and students understand the jobs and capabilities required for information security experts through direction and execution of the information security expert project. Teaching tools of information security through simulation hacking play activities based on hexagon cell is designed to provide students with the chance to indirectly experience the job of a computer security expert through an unplugged education. Because the content of cyber security is unfamiliar and difficult to understand, the program is designed to allow students to access the key principle of the job, rather than to describe the technical part. Using this program, students will be able to communicate with each other to solve the problems, to have interest in computer security experts, and to design their careers in a creative manner.

In this study, a digital textbook was developed for effective career and vocational education of students with disabilities. The contents of developed digital textbook consisted of 'lesson 15: Sale(1)' of middle school career and vocational education of basic curriculum. It progresses six periods and each topic activities are composed of open learning, learning activity 1, learning activity 2, and organized learning in order. NamoPubTreeEditor Program was used to develop the text book in the study, digital textbooks were designed to be compatible with various devices including smartphone of android operating system, Tablet PC, the iOS system, iphone, ipad, etc. In addition, it was designed to offer a variety of learning materials such as sale multimedia materials, glossary, evaluation questions, and linked data related to sale, supported self-motivated learning. allowed students to evaluate their study for the learning of students with disabilities.

The objective of this study is to develop an on-line system for improving undergraduate students' competency development. After drawing elements necessary for the competency development such as assessment and planning, competency development, analysis of competency assessment, portfolio, analysis of job ability and community, based on the literature research related to competency and the analysis of the existing system, the direction of the system design was set up. The system was developed by using Microsoft Windows operating system in Windows server, ORACLE ver.10 as its database management system, and JSP and JAVA as its programing language. Reviewing errors and improvements of the system, it was modified and complemented. In order to examine the content functional utilization of the final competency development system, the utilization was verified. The competency development system for undergraduate students can be used as on-line space filled with the internalization of knowledge, self-directed competency development, convenience of record management and interactions between students-professors-alumna, owing to its functions such as boosting competency activities, cultivating career-pioneering ability and introspecting. When it is rare to find researches on the competency development system for undergraduate students, it is expected to be helpful to the development of competency education and the career education for undergraduate students as a new alternative for the competency development.

Research results show (1) there are two dimensions characterizing Korean IS practitioners : 'project -operation' and 'product-orientation-strategic-orientation', (2) there are two distinctive and main career paths of Korean IS practitioners : generalists who support using information systems in the context of operation and specialists who are engaged in software development or improvement projects, and (3) Korean IS practitioners are experiencing serious and pervasive knowledge and skill deficiencies. Research results also provide clear evidence that Korean universities fail to provide eligible entry-level software developers and that the shortage of eligible entry-level software developers distorts both IS specialists' careers and knowledge and skill requirements for them.

This study explored the status of free time activities among the dental technicians who are working at Seoul, Gyonggido, and Gangwondo. On the basis of this research, we aim to present needs and applicable solutions to improve the working conditions and enhance the quality of life through more effective time management in free time activities that lead to their self development and far more enriched life. 500 subjects were randomly chosen and the questionary sheets were provided. Among them, 305 sheets were returned to be analysed through SPSS Win 10.0 software and the results are as follows; First, mean in the satisfaction of leisure activities was 3.44(SD=.73). Mean in sub categories was as follows; psychological factor(M=3.65, SD=.71), social factor(M=3.54, SD=.75), rest factors(M=3.52, SD=.63), physical factor(M=3.43, SD=.88), other factors(M=3.40, SD=.66), circumstantial factor(M=3.33, SD=.63), educational factor(M=3.24, SD=.73). Second, the most relevant sub categories in the satisfaction of leisure activities were social, educational, physical, and other circumstantial factors by sequence. Factors that affect leisure activities satisfaction were career and status of health, which shows statistical significance(p<.001). That is to say, contention of this study is that the general characteristics are closely related with and affect the types and the level of satisfaction in leisure activities of the subjects. Considering these results, the dental businesses and the associations of dental technicians should recognize the needs to improve the time management through more efficient cooperations between dentists and back office dental team, systemized working time, and introduction of incentive system among others. On the basis of this appreciation, the dental business should provide more time and various opportunities with the dental technicians. Dental technicians also need to reconsider their appreciations of leisure activities, that is, leisure activities are not just spending time doing something but they refresh them and enable them to be more active and faithful to home and work.
