As a trial research, data were collected by a standardized job analysis table to 6 doctors, 40 nurses, and 11 industrial hygienists of Group Health Care System. Health care managers were performing complex and intellectual jobs such as healh education for workers, managing health care, conference as well as more simple jobs like as filling diary. Especially, job was consisted of general job and health care management job in the proportion of 1:2.18. The major general job were data management related with the health statistics, and major health care management jobs were managing health care, health counselling, environmental management of working sites. Each specific jobs were required differentiated intellectual capacity, creativity, autonomy, psychic stress, and physical work; most respondents perceived that health care management jobs should require more inputs than general jobs. The purpose of this study was to compare working mothers' sftisfaction with child day care service between those using child care centers in their workplace and those using child care centers close to their houses. their demand for better child care service was also assessed. The study findings can be used as basic information for establishing alternative solutions and developing child day care programs able to meet the different needs of mothers with preschool children. The results from this study were as follows. Firstly, there was a significant difference in satisfaction levels associated with the quality of child day care centers (programs and safety) between the two groups. There were no significant differences in satisfaction levels associated with demographic factors. Secondly, while working mothers using child care centers in their workplace were most concerned with the quality of the center, the other group of working mothers was most concerned with the distance between their houses and the child care centers. Thirdly, both groups preferred the idea that the government make child care subsidies. Thus study results suggest the need for establishing systematic efforts to increase child care services in workplaces and communities and eventually support working mothers.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the satisfaction level of care services depending on the activities of daily living and types of care services for inpatients with chronic disease. Methods: The participants consisted of 156 chronically ill patients. A structured questionnaire and personal interviews were used for collecting the data. The data were analyzed using SPSS (ver. 12.0) program for frequency, t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression analysis. Results: The chronically ill patients taken care of by family members were more satisfied with care services than those taken care of by paid caregivers. Also, the more able the patients were for their daily living activities, they were more satisfied with care services. In addition, type of care services was the most important factor in terms of affecting patients' satisfaction with care services most. Conclusion: The result of this study suggests that nurses need to pay more attention to those with low activities of daily living and taken care of by paid caregivers, who have the probability of low satisfaction of care services.
With the improvement of current medicine, the number of the chronicly ill children are increasing. The illness of the child drives all of the family to despair. especially it is a burden on the mother who takes care of the ill child. She's faced with many emergencies and feels powerless. The home care for a child is for finding a child's problems early and mediating them. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mother's reaction following their chronicly ill child's discharge and to investigate the supporting needs for caring for an ill child. The subjects of this study were mothers with a chronicly ill child being discharged from a general hospital in Seoul and the data was collected from July 20 to September 30. Data was collected by using questionnaires which were developed by the researcher. (The questionnaires were composed of the average 5 points - Likert's method). The Mother's reaction means that the higher the score, the more negative the mother's thoughts about discharge are. Supporting need for caring for ill an child means that the higher the score, the higher the demand of nursing is. The statistical analysis used the SPSS program for t-test. ANOVA, and Pearson Correlation. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The mother's reaction scores following discharge were the lowest. 19 and the highest 72 so that the total average was 43.15. The answer, 'I worry that my baby will be troubled with illness again after discharge gained the high points (3.94 of 5 points). The answer. 'The discharge of my baby makes me gloomy' gained 2.05-it was the lowest points. Their were significant differences according to religion (p=.006). salary (p=.050). the burden of the medical fee (p = .005) and caregiver (p=.027). 2. Supporting Need for caring for ill an child was the lowest 15 and the highest 67. the total average was 47.87. The answer. 'I'd be glad to get a person whom I could always get counsel about the health of my baby with' scored the high point (average 4.04 of 5). The answer. 'Caring for my baby at home makes me exhausted' gained the lowest point. 2.49. Their were significant differences according to religion (p=.019) and diagnosis (p=.019). 3. The relationship between the reaction of the mother and supporting need for caring for an ill child was a positive correlation (r=0.585). In conclusion. this study revealed that mothers weren't positive about their chronicly ill child's discharge and they wanted to get support for caring for an ill child. Through this study. I proposed that the program to support the chronicly ill child at home and home care by continuous counselling after discharge should be develop.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a nursing protocol for care of hospitalized foreign patients based on necessary nursing care and to evaluate content validity and practical applicability. Methods: A survey was conducted to identify the need for protocol development and to prioritize necessary content to be included in the protocol (N=110). A draft protocol was developed, and 7 experts and 115 nurses evaluated content validity and practical applicability of the protocol. Results: Results of the needs survey showed that all participants agreed there is a need for a protocol. Based on the survey results, a protocol was developed which included: regional culture and healthcare, admission/discharge care, surgical care, pain management, care in diagnostic testing, medication administration, and blood transfusion. Score on the experts' evaluation of content validity of the protocol was $3.66{\pm}0.28$. Practical applicability score was $3.61{\pm}0.29$ in the experts' group and $3.16{\pm}0.11$ in the nurses' group. Total score for validity of the overall content was $29.46{\pm}5.62$. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the environments of patient care, education, and research as indicators of university hospital performance. The objective data for this study were collected by secondary data. The subjective data were collected by a total of 523 questionnaire survey interviews conducted in C university hospital, of which 123 were students, interns, or residents, 76 were professors, and the remaining 324 were patients. The major statistical methods used for the analysis were t-test and ANOVA. We found that the environment of patient care is better than the environment of education and research in C university hospital. While the concern for patient care of C university hospital was about 60%, the equivalent figures for education and research were both 20%. And the patients' satisfaction level was higher than the others. The environment of education and research was found to be deficient in some aspects, especially in such areas as facilities, equipment, and investment. In particular for professors the time for research was very limited because of the demands of patient care. These findings clearly demonstrate that university hospitals need to pay greater attention to the areas of education and research, as well as to patient care. This article concludes with a discussion and summary and presents issues in need of further study.
