  • The credit card system has been introduced as a new sales method in the marketing field in Daegu city since 1978. In order to increase its efficiency of distribution channel. we should like to find the better ways in the credit card system. For this study, we choice randomly 420 persons credit card holders of a department store in Daegu city. Since the credit card holders purchase products and obtain the utility and satisfactions. salesmen should establish the improvement strategis to meet needs and desires of credit card holders. we conclude that the establishment of the management systems should be based on the management concepts of modern marketing for consumer profit. Than the advantages of credit card sale should not only be recognized but also to translated into material gains by its successful utilization. When credit card sale would come to this, I believe that credit card sale will be helpful for business men activity and consumer's life.

Repeatability and Reliability of a New Phoria Test Using Flashed and Auto-flashed Presentation

  • The purpose of this study was to assess repeatability and reliability of a new phoria test as compared to established phoria tests and to assess the possibility of mobile or online testing using the auto-flashed presentation. Near dissociated phoria was measured using the von Graefe method, the Howell card test, the modified Thorington test, and a new dichromatic card test (Red-Blue Phoria card test; RBP card test) on 109 subjects. The inter-examiner difference and test-retest difference were calculated. With the auto-flashed presentation of the RBP card test, near dissociated phoria was measured and the intraclass correlation coefficient and test-retest repeatability was assessed on 26 subjects. The variation in inter-examiner repeatability was the smallest for the modified Thorington test (+3.1/-2.6). The RBP card test was +3.0/-3.1, the Howell card test was +3.5/-2.7, and the von Graefe test was +6.2/-6.0. The variation in test-retest repeatability was the smallest for the RBP card test (+0.4/-1.4). The modified Thorington test was +1.3/-1.3, the Howell card test was +1.27/-1.45, and the von Graefe test was +1.59/-2.20. The ICC was 0.919 for the auto-flashed presentation of the RBP card test. The RBP card test is considered a highly repeatable method clinically and can be made a useful application for testing in mobile or online.

The Rate of Credit Card Payment for Private Extracurricular Education in Korea (보충교육서비스 요금의 신용카드 결제 실태)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the rate of credit card payment for private education. The results of study can be used to improve credit card handling problems of private educational institutes, leading toward improvements in income transparency, increase in tax burden equity and long-term economic welfare improvement for individual households. 424 households out of 586 household that were surveyed in September of 2002 had 1,700 cases private extracurricular education. 67 of the 1,700 cases that did not have expenditure records were removed from the analysis. Only 3.67% out of 1,633 cases were paid by a credit cards and the amount of credit card payment were only 5.65% of the total amount spent for private education. The average fee of private educational institutes that allow credit card payment was higher than the fees of private institutes which don't allow a credit card payment or those of private institutes where consumers don't know whether a credit card payment was allowed. The average fee of private education paid by credit cards was 34,465.46 won higher than that paid by cash. Credit card payments to private educational institutions is an important social issue with respect to fair tax collection and tax burden equity since most private educational services operate in fairly small sizes and are offered by the self-employed, and the expense of private education is a fairly large proportion of the household income. It is also important for consumers if credit card acceptance expands alternatives that consumers can choose in private education. Therefore, credit card payment should be encouraged in private extracurricular education. To do this, private education providers should be forced to join a credit card payment service by the National Tax Service. A regulation that prohibits the refusal of credit card payments should be required, and credit card service charges of private education providers should be incrementally decreased. Also, consumer education and public promotions for credit card use instead of cash in paying for private education fees are recommended.

  • Because the international trading community has witnessed a number of significant technical and commercial changes, documentary credit practices will quite clearly need to be updated to meet both the business and technical demands of the latest commercial and technical developments in international trade. The potential for developing "paperless credit" should, therefore, be examined. TradeCard is a B2B(business-to-business) e-commerce infrastructure that enables buyers and sellers to conduct and settle international trade transactions securely over the Internet and objective of TradeCard is to provide a secure, reliable cost-effective and user-friendly solution for conducting and settling international trade transactions. This paper analyzes the reviews of TradeCard by Electronic Message and the various problems which come to application of TradeCard, with particular attention to existing international frameworks for Payment systems based on Documentary Credit.ry Credit.

  • Currently the settlement system which is used at credit card settlement from the member store of the off-line credit card is composed of the credit card settlement terminal, the VAN company which does a settlement relay service and the credit card company. When the obstacle occurs from the credit card company, the VAN company which does a settlement relay service conducts an approval vicarious execution, but when the obstacle occurs from the VAN company, the credit card settlement service is not accomplished smoothly. The dissertation proposes the credit card settlement system which receives a settlement relay service that credit card settlement terminal uses a telegram conversion Agent from other VAN company when the VAN company obstacle occurs.

  • When producing a business card, there is always a risk for exposing personal information as the information from the business card application is saved in the computer of the printing agency. The information that goes into the business card application file, such as name, mobile phone number, and e-mail address is not encrypted, which makes it easy to access. This study was conducted in order to find a way to automatize the business card application process by encrypting the information entered into the business card application file, simplifying the business card application process, minimizing the workload and by directly linking to the print shop to remove the print file after completing the printing of the business card.

  • Recently, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) cards have been charming increasing attention. In addition, the RFID card ensures high durability and ease of maintenance because it has no built-in contact. And the benefits of RFID cards over contact cards are primarily due to the increased transaction speed and convenience brought to the cardholder. In this paper, we have developed a RFID card reader for the multi-purpose applications. The vicinity card reader with large-screen to display user ID and card number for a kinds of applications such as entrance and attendance management system is suitable for the use with EM card and TEMIC card, featuring easy to mount and reliable quality. The read range of the proposed RFID card reader is 70cm. This paper also addresses current RFID technology in terms of systems and provides a look forward its future applications in the aviation environment using RFID smart card.

PIDD mediates and stabilizes the interaction between RAIDD and Caspase-2 for the PIDDosome assembly

  • The PIDDosome, which is an oligomeric signaling complex composed of PIDD, RAIDD and caspase-2, can induce proximity-based dimerization and activation of caspase-2. In the PIDDosome assembly, the adaptor protein RAIDD interacts with PIDD and caspase-2 via CARD:CARD and DD:DD, respectively. To analyze the PIDDosome assembly, we purified all of the DD superfamily members and performed biochemical analyses. The results revealed that caspase-2 CARD is an insoluble protein that can be solubilized by its binding partner, RAIDD CARD, but not by full-length RAIDD; this indicates that full-length RAIDD in closed states cannot interact with caspase-2 CARD. Moreover, we found that caspase-2 CARD can be solubilized and interact with full-length RAIDD in the presence of PIDD DD, indicating that PIDD DD initially binds to RAIDD, after which caspase-2 can be recruited to RAIDD via a CARD:CARD interaction. Our study will be useful in determining the order of assembly of the PIDDosome.

Cryptographically-Generated Virtual Credit Card Number for Secure Card-Not-Present Transactions

  • Card-Not-Present (CNP) transactions taking place remotely over the Internet are becoming more prevalent. Cardholder authentication should be provided to prevent the CNP fraud resulting from the theft of stored credit card numbers. To address the security problems associated with CNP transactions, the use of a virtual card number derived from the transaction details for the payment has been proposed, instead of the real card number. Since all of the virtual card number schemes proposed so far are based on a password shared between the cardholder and card issuer, transaction disputes due to the malicious behavior of one of the parties involved in the transaction cannot be resolved. In this paper, a new virtual card number scheme is proposed, which is associated with the cardholder's public key for signature verification. It provides strong cardholder authentication and non-repudiation of the transaction without deploying a public-key infrastructure, so that the transaction dispute can be easily resolved. The proposed scheme is analyzed in terms of its security and usability, and compared with the previously proposed schemes.

  • The purpose of this was to identify the shopping orientation and store selection criteria of credit card apparel shoppers. The subjects were credit card holding women who had experienced credit card apparel shopping at least one time during last 6 months. The results were as follows : 1. Women of 20's were segmented into multi-cards holding light users, multi-cards holding heavy users, and mono-card holding light users according their credit card numbers and the monthly credit card apparel expenditure. 2. The factors of apparel shopping orientation were pleasure, economy, brand loyalty. self-confidence. shopping plan, and fashion. And the factors of store selection criteria were additive service, store atmosphere, Product assortment, sales promotion. and product diversity. 3. Multi-card holding light users showed higher tendency in self-confidence and economy of shopping orientation, and considered additive service more. Multi-card holding heavy users showed higher tendency in pleasure. brand loyalty, self-confidence, shopping plan, and fashion of shopping orientation, and considered sales promotion and product diversity. Mono-card holding light users showed lower tendency in pleasure. brand loyalty, self-confidency, shopping plan, and fashion, and considered additive service, store atmosphere. product assortment, sales promotion, and product diversity less.
