끝단면에 ?을 갖는 원통주의 전류분포 해석 (Analysis of Current Distribution on Cylinders with End Cap)

  • 준정적 근사법을 적용하여 평탄한 단면(End cap)을 포함하는 회전체에 유기되는 전류에 대한 적분방정식을 유도하고 모멘트법을 이용해서 해석하였다. 수체해석시 기저함수로 Cubic B Spline 함수, 가중함수로 델타함수를 사용한 Point Matching Method를 사용하였다. 또한 끝단에 둥근타원체(Spheroidal end cap)를 갖는 경우 및 평탄한 단면을 갖는 원통주의 구조변수 변화에 따른 영향관계를 해석하였다.

  • Sandy soils are generally used as a capping material to reduce the pollutants transport from the contaminated dredged sediment. However, dredged material capping is not widely used because regulatory agencies are concerned about the potential for contaminants migration through the cap. Movement of contaminated pore water from sediment into cap is mainly related to sediment consolidation during and after cap placement. To evaluate the significance of consolidation induced transport of contaminants from sediment into cap, research centrifuge tests were conducted. Centrifuge test results illustrate that advection and dispersion are the dominant contaminants transport processes and that capping reduces the potential of contaminant migration from the dredged sediment effectively.

  • Safety-shoes are developed for heavy industry. Nowadays with the development of industry, it is increase on all of industry field. Safety-shoes are to be classfied into using intention. And it's developed not only protect from danger but also more comfort wearing. When wear a safety shoes, in cold weather, serious disease could be occur such as frostbitten and so on. In the study replacees steel toe-cap by polymer. When it replace by polymer, Moreover add keeping warm, light weighting, chemicals-proof. Nowadays plastic material can exchanged from metal, because of rapid growth in engineering plastic and FRP. Prodcts of engineering plastic and FRP goods are equal. So we develop plastic Toe-Cap using plastic technology.

Translation initiation mediated by nuclear cap-binding protein complex

  • In mammals, cap-dependent translation of mRNAs is initiated by two distinct mechanisms: cap-binding complex (CBC; a heterodimer of CBP80 and 20)-dependent translation (CT) and eIF4E-dependent translation (ET). Both translation initiation mechanisms share common features in driving cap- dependent translation; nevertheless, they can be distinguished from each other based on their molecular features and biological roles. CT is largely associated with mRNA surveillance such as nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD), whereas ET is predominantly involved in the bulk of protein synthesis. However, several recent studies have demonstrated that CT and ET have similar roles in protein synthesis and mRNA surveillance. In a subset of mRNAs, CT preferentially drives the cap-dependent translation, as ET does, and ET is responsible for mRNA surveillance, as CT does. In this review, we summarize and compare the molecular features of CT and ET with a focus on the emerging roles of CT in translation.

Numerical analysis of RC hammer head pier cap beams extended and reinforced with CFRP plates

  • This paper presents a numerical study on structural behavior of hammer head pier cap beams, extended on verges and reinforced with carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) plates. A 3-D finite element (FE) model along with a simplified analytical model are presented. Concrete damage plasticity (CDP) was adapted in the FE model and an analytical approach predicting the CFRP anchor strength was adapted in both FE and analytical model. Total five quarter-scaled pier cap beams with various CFRP reinforcing schemes were experimentally tested and analyzed with numerical approaches. Comparison between experimental results, FE results, analytical results and current ACI guideline predictions was presented. The FE results showed good agreement with experimental results in terms of failure mode, ultimate capacity, load-displacement response and strain distribution. In addition, the proposed strut-and-tie based analytical model provides the most accurate prediction of ultimate strength of extended cap beams among the three numerical approaches.

광섬유전송에 의한 Zircaloy-4 봉단마개밀봉의 Nd:YAG LBW의 최적조건에 관한 연구 (A study on the Optimum Conditions of Nd:YAG LBW for Zircaloy-4 End Cap Closure By Optical Fiber Transmission)

  • This study is to investigate the optimum conditions of Nd:YAG laser beam welding for Zircaloy-4 end cap closure by optical fiber transmission. Laser welding parameters which affect the penetration depth and bead width were experimentally examined using the various beam radius by the beam quality analyzer, joint geometries of end cap and the laser parameters which mean pulse width, repetition rate and pulse energy. Also, an optimum welding speed and the effect of assistant gas with varying the flow rate of He were investigated. We found that the laser average power for the end cap welding will be 230W and rotation speed must not exceed 8 RPM, the best position of focus using optical fiber with 600.mu.m will be 2 to 3mm below the surface of the material.

냉간 압축 하에서 나노 세라믹 분말의 치밀화 거동 (Densification Behavior of Nanocrystalline Ceramic Powder under Cold Compaction)

  • Densification behavior of nanocrystalline titania powder was investigated under cold compaction. Experimental data were obtained under triaxial compression with various loading conditions. Lee and Kim proposed the Cap model by developing the parameters involved in the yield function of general Cap model and volumetric strain evolution under cold isostatic pressing. The parameters in the Drucker/Prager Cap model and the proposed model were obtained from experimental data under triaxial compression. Finite element results from the models were compared with experimental data for densification behavior of nanocystalline ceramic powder under cold isostatic pressing and die compaction. The proposed model agreed well with experimental data under cold compaction, but the Drucker/Prager Cap model underestimated at the low density range. Finite element results, also, show the relative density distribution of nanocystalline ceramic powder compacts is severe compared to conventional micron powder compacts with the same averaged relative density.

소형 Screw Cap Opener 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of a Small Screw Cap Opener)

  • The effectivenes of the opener has also been evaluated. The developed opener increased the torque capability of the wrist by 3.2 times so that most of the elderly can open screw caps. In this study the range of the screw cap sizes tested were between 22.0~ 32.0m, which covers over 92.0% of the screw caps in the market that are difficult to open. This particular screw cap opener developed in this study applies to the aged asstrength.

상지 형태와 의복소매에 관한 인간 공학적 연구(제2보) - 동작에 의한 상지 길이 변화 - (Ergonomic Studies of Arm Shapes and Sleeves : Arm length depending on Arm movements)

  • In our previous work using a motion analyzer and 3-dimensional sonic digitizer, the arm shapes for 23 women in their early twenties were classified into three characteristic types. In order to design sleeves, suitable for arm movements for the three characteristic arm shapes, a relationship between arm length variation and shoulder/elbow angles has been investigated for four cases of arm movements (flexion, extension, adduction and abduction). Each arm movement can be characterized by the changes in shoulder angle and the changes in elbow angle at the maximal shoulder angle. In all the four cases of arm movements, the changes of shoulder length and cap height are largest at the maximal shoulder angle. These changes were little affected by changes in elbow angle. The changes in the lower arm length and the difference between cap height and upper arm length are the largest at the maximal elbow angle of the maximal shoulder angle. There is a linear relationship between cap height and shoulder angle during arm movements; thus, in designing sleeves the cap height can be determined from the regression of cap height vs. shoulder angle.

지역사회획득 폐렴 (Community Acquired Pneumonia)

  • Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) is a major cause of morbidity, of mortality, and of expenditure of medical resources. The etiology and antimicrobial susceptibility of CAP pathogens can differ by country. Treatment guidelines need to reflect the needs of individual countries based on pathogen susceptibility studies. Recent treatment guidelines for CAP in Korea were published by the Joint Committee of the Korean Academy of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, the Korean Society for Chemotherapy, and the Korean Society of Infectious Diseases. In this article, the etiologies, diagnoses, treatments for CAP will be reviewed and compared to the recent published Korean guidelines for CAP treatment.
