  • In 1992. Boullion obtained the method of the calculus of the moments of discrete probability distributions using differential operator, and he published the method of calculus of the moments. The purpose of this paper is to introduce an idea that this method can be applied to calculate the moments of continuous probability distributions.

  • We briefly review three Raleigh type location tests based on direction vectors, which have been shown to be efficient when the distribution is unknown, skewed, or heavy-tailed. Then we calculate their test breakdown points and discuss the robustness of Randles multivariate sign test for one-sample.

  • A quadrature rule for the solution of Cauchy singular integral equation is constructed and investigated. This method to calculate numerically singular integrals uses classical Jacobi quadratures adopting Hunter's method. The proposed method is convergent under a reasonable assumption on the smoothness of the solution.

  • We will construct the generalized law of cosines in a tetrahedron, in a natural way, which gives three dimensional Pythagoras' theorem and enables us to calculate the volume of an arbitrary tetrahedron.

  • Prior to real fire test, theoretical of the fire resistant performance of the structural ele-ments is often less time consuming and less costly to calculate it, than to determine the perform-ance experimentally. This study is aimed at introduction of estimating methods of the fire resistant performance of the steel structural elements not by the actual fire tests but by the mathematical models.

  • Fast response time is realized by using LTN-LCDs. To calculate the dynamic electro-optical characteristics, Ericksen-Leslie theory is used for the dynamic profile of molecules and order tensor representation is adopted for the free energy calculation.

  • Optical fiber networks for microwave signal processing have been investigation . Theoretical and experimental results are presented in Z-shaped Double-Coupler Optical Resonator. The use of Mason's rule to calculate transfer functions greatly simplified the analysis in our model. A good comparison between modelling and experiment is presented.

  • The four types of management accounting systems(traditional full costing, direct costing, activity-based costing, throughput accounting) are compared in this study. This paper reviews the differences between throughput and contribution margin. The paper concludes that the definition of totally variable cost(TVC) to calculate throughput is situational specific.
