  • The single-phase line start permanent magnet motor(LSPM) have a rotor cage bar for induction starting and permanent magnets, providing synchronous torque. So, LSPM is vary complex and difficult to analysis transient characteristics and rotor design. In this paper, F.E.M analysis about single-phase line start permanent magnet motor and compare of the single-phase line start permanent magnet synchronous motor's transient characteristics by size and position of rotor bar.

터빈의 동특성을 고려한 풍력 터빈 시뮬레이터 (Wind Turbine Simulators Considering Turbine Dynamic Characteristics)

  • This paper proposes design and implementation of wind turbine simulators which incorporate the turbine dynamic characteristics. At first, the turbine output characteristic in steady state is modelled as a function of wind speed and then dynamic characteristics are modelled such as pitch angle control, torsional vibration, tower shadow effect, wind shear effect, and inertia effect. In addition, a wind speed simulator is developed which can generate the real wind speed pattern. The wind turbine simulator is implemented with 3[kW] M-G set(cage-type induction motor coupled with doubly-fed induction generator) at laboratory.

  • The line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor has a high efficiency and an advantage in constant speed operation regardless of the effect of load variation. However it is difficult to predict the performance of characteristics accurately, because of the unbalanced starting torque with the initial starting position of the rotor and the generation of a break torque. In this paper the dynamic characteristics of the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor are described and compared with those of the squirrel-cage induction motor through the simulation to find the characteristics of the permanent magnets and the rotor bars in the line-start permanent magnet synchronous motor.

  • 계획이 잘 된 이상적인 동물원이란 일차적으로 전시동물에 대한 생태학적 고려가 잘 된 것을 말하며 그 다음으로 관람자의 편의성과 즐거움을 위해 레저$.$휴식을 제공하는 동물원이라 할 수 있다. 하지만 이러한 양면의 목적을 제대로 현실화시킨 동물원을 찾아보기란 쉽지 않다. 동물원을 계획하고 설치할 때 모든 요소들을 거시적으로 통합하는 계획 능력의 부족으로 일어나는 디자인의 문제점 또한 거론하지 않을 수 없다. 이 는 깊이 있는 전문적 지식과 정보가 부재하여 각 부분들이 가지는 전체적 통일이나 다양한 내용이 상호 커뮤니케이션화 되어 있지 않고 있기 때문으로 풀이할 수 있다. 그러므로 놀이와 학습과 관람 및 레저의 목적을 겸한 동물원에 대한 통합디자인은 아무리 강조하여도 지나치지 않다. 동물원에는 아이덴티티 프로그램(identity program), 퍼니처시스템(furniture system), 동물의 쇼룸, 우리와 부대시설 등의 요소들이 상호 조화하는 종합된 디자인 사고가 요구된다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 개념에서 접근한 대구광역시 달성공원에 대한 통합디자인 연구라고 할 수 있다. 동물원을 겸하고 있는 달성공원의 이용형태를 시각환경과 생태환경이 서로 조화할 수 있도록 새롭게 분석 종합하여 바람직한 통합디자인이 될 수 있도록 연구해보았다.

초고속 복합재료 공기정압 주축의 설계 (Design of High Speed Composite Air Spindle System)

  • 공기정압 주축 시스템의 동적 안정성을 향상시키기 위해 섬유강화 복합재료 주축 자성 분말이 함침된 에폭시 복합재료 회전자 및 알루미늄 재질의 공구 연결부로 구성된 주축 시스템을 설계 및 제작하였다. 복합재료 공기정압 주축 시스템의 최적 설계를 위해 구조의 공진 주파수와 변형량 등을 고려하여 복합재료 주축의 적층 각도와 두께를 결정하였다 해석결과 설계된 복합재료 주축 시스템은 기존의 금속 주축 시스템에 비해 36% 더 높은 공진 주파수를 가지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 계산 및 실험 결과를 통해서 섬유강화 복합재료 주축과 자성 분말이 함침된 에폭시 복합재료 회전자로 구성된 복합재료 주축-회전자 시스템은 높은 비 강성으로 인해 기존 주축 시스템의 동적특성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

A Study on the control system for the Unintended Car Movement Protection Means to meet the International Standards of lifts

  • As the number of tall buildings is increasing, the high-speed lift is necessary in the modern world. Therefore, the further considerations for associated safety devices of lifts were required by the International Standards. In order to stop the moving of cage and keep it, the lifts have to be provided with means that can detect the unintended car movement. Therefore, the International Standard Safety Rules for the construction and installation of lifts had been revised. This paper describes the operation principles of the Rope Brake to fit the Unintended Car Movement Protection (UCMP) means required by the International Standards. This paper confirmed that the performance of these devices was suitable in the scope of the safety standards. This paper also analyzed that the shocks on working of these devices in a car would be dangerous to each passenger differently. Thus, this paper proposes a new design that the circuit diagram of the Unintended Car Movement Protection systems should be improved from the existing design to solve these internal shock problems. So, it is expected to protect passengers from the internal shocks by working of Rope Brake due to irrelevant factors.

한국표준형 원전 제어봉구동장치 전원공급계통의 전동발전기 세트 안정성 개선 (Improving Stability of Motor Generator Set of the Power Supply System for CEDM in Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plants)

  • This paper analyzed a root cause of abnormality in the temperature and vibration at generator-side bearing of motor generator set (MG Set), which is a power supply system to control element drive mechanism (CEDM) of nuclear power plants (NPPs), and modified the design of roller-type and sealing method to improve the abnormalities. From the inspection of MG Set and analysis of temperature variation during service, it was found that the abnormal temperature transition was basically associated with original design of generator-side bearing, whose roller was axially restrained by inner race, and that the abnormal vibration level was caused by inserting small chips of cage and V-ring, which were generated due to the abnormal temperature transition at roller bearing. Type of bearing and sealing method were modified based on these analyses. The temperature and vibration level measured at roller bearing showed that the modifications clearly improved the operational stability of MG Set.

OHT 차량 벨트 동특성 및 피로 수명에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dynamic Analysis and Fatigue Life of the Belt in the OHT Vehicle)

  • The OHT(Over Head Transportation) Vehicle transports heavy products quickly and repeatedly at the industrial workplace. The belt in the OHT vehicle is used to support the weight of the OHT Cage. The fatigue of the belt is caused by the dynamic load during the operation time. Since the fatigue fracture of the belt affects the safety at the workplace, the correct prediction of the dynamic load is necessary to calculate the fatigue life of the belt on the design step. In this paper a computer aided analysis method is proposed for the belt in the early design stage using dynamic analysis, stress analysis, belt tensile test, belt fatigue test and fatigue lift prediction method. From the dynamic load time histories and the stress of the belt FE model, a dynamic stress time history is produced. Using linear damage law and cycle counting method, fatigue life cycle is calculated. The method developed in this paper is used to reduce the time and cost for designing the OHT belt in different environment and condition.

  • This paper presents a new approach regarding thermal characteristics associated with a design of the high efficiency motor. Electrical conduction materials, such as coil and aluminum embedded in the core generate high heat exerting negative influence on both lifetime and performance of machine. Thus, it is necessary to design high efficiency motor considering heat transfer in order to improve motor performance and to be protected against overheating. In this paper, firstly, numerical analysis of electromagnetic field is carried out by the nonlinear transient finite element method (FEM). Secondly, the linear static FEA of magneto-thermal field is implemented by applying source current computed by the nonlinear transient analysis. FE results are validated in terms of electromagnetics and heat transfer by experiments. And then, the pseudo-transient topology optimization using a multi-objective function is performed. The proposed method is applied to a squirrel cage single-phase induction motor of the scroll compressor.

항공용 고속 롤러베어링의 냉각 방식에 따른 작동간극 변화 (Variation of Operating Clearance Depending on Cooling Methods of High-Speed Roller Bearings for Aerospace Applications)

  • In this study, the expansion, stress, and operating clearance of bearing elements during operation are observed using the inner/outer ring temperature test data of a 3.0×106 DN-class roller bearing. The operating clearance characteristics of inner-/outer-ring cooling (IORC) bearings are compared to those of inner-ring cooling (IRC) bearings. For IRC bearings, the thermal expansion of the outer ring is the most important factor in clearance variation. As a result, the operating clearance is less than the initial clearance of 61 ㎛, and the operating clearance decreases to 0.5 ㎛ at 25,500 rpm. Conversely, the temperature of the outer ring of IORC bearings is lower than that of IRC bearings, so the operating clearance is kept smaller. When the coolant flow rate to the outer ring is approximately 1.5 to 2.0 L/min, the temperature difference between the inner and outer rings is minimized and the operating clearance is maintained at a significantly lower level than IRC bearings. Small operating clearances are expected to be effective in reducing cage slip and skid damage in roller bearings. The results and analysis procedures of this study can be utilized to design of bearing clearance, lubricant flow rate, and assembled interference in the early design stage of aerospace roller bearings.
