This study was conducted to calculate and predict the shelf-life of meat sausage through physicochemical and biological analysis. Judging from physico-chemical components, it can be found out the most effective indicator in meat sausage. And also, the materials used for packaging is cellulose #23 in inner-packaging and CN/HDPE laminating film in outer-packaging. The changes of the most effective indicator were discussed through the method of kinetic analysis. Judging from physico-chemical components, VBN was the most available component in quality judgement of meat sausage and their upper limiting contents were 20 mg%. It is possible to calculate and predict the shelf-life of meat sausage through the regression equation and $Q_{10}$ value. As a result, the shelf-life prediction was $58{\sim}63$ days at $10^{\circ}C$, $47{\sim}51$ days at $20^{\circ}C$ and 26 days at $40^{\circ}C$, respectively, but the difference between two methods showed about $4{\sim}5$ days. $Q_{10}$ value on the changes contents was 1.35 at acceralated temperature $40^{\circ}C$. The reaction rate of VBN contents could be interpreted as a first order reaction that divided into 2 periods with different reaction rate constants. The corresponding Arrhenius activation energies were 2.959 Kcal/mole and 3.632 Kcal/mole, respectively.

For the removal of cesium (Cs) from high radioactive/high salt-laden liquid waste, this study synthesized a highly efficient composite adsorbent (potassium cobalt ferrocyanide (PCFC)-loaded chabazite (CHA)) and evaluated its applicability. The composite adsorbent used CHA, which could accommodate Cs as well as other molecules, as a supporting material and was synthesized by immobilizing the PCFC in the pores of CHA through stepwise impregnation/precipitation with $CoCl_2$ and $K_4Fe(CN)_6$ solutions. When CHA, with average particle size of more than $10{\mu}m$, is used in synthesizing the composite adsorbent, the PCFC particles were immobilized in a stable form. Also, the physical stability of the composite adsorbent was improved by optimizing the washing methodology to increase the purity of the composite adsorbent during the synthesis. The composite adsorbent obtained from the optimal synthesis showed a high adsorption rate of Cs in both fresh water (salt-free condition) and seawater (high-salt condition), and had a relatively high value of distribution coefficient (larger than $10^4mL{\cdot}g^{-1}$) regardless of the salt concentration. Therefore, the composite adsorbent synthesized in this study is an optimized material considering both the high selectivity of PCFC on Cs and the physical stability of CHA. It is proved that this composite adsorbent can remove rapidly Cs contained in high radioactive/high salt-laden liquid waste with high efficiency.
The quantitative analytical method for major antioxidants, ellagic acid and punicalagin, in pomegranate husk (Granati pericarpium) were established by HPLC. The optimal HPLC conditions were as follows: Column; Agilent Zorbax Eclipse XDB-C18 ($4.6{\times}150mm,\;5{\mu}m$), mobile phase; 1% formic acid in water (A) and 1% formic acid in MeCN (B) (gradient elution of 5% to 100% B for 50 min), flow rate; 0.8 ml/min., detection; UV 254 nm. The optimal pre-treatment conditions for HPLC analysis were as follows: 5 g of pomegranate husk in 100 ml of 95% EtOH, refluxed for 3 h. Under these analytical conditions, punicalagin and ellagic acid contents in Korean pomegranates husks which were cultivated in five different sites were determined. As results, the ellagic acid and punicalagin (as a mixture of ${\alpha-\;and\;{\beta}-anomer$) contents were the highest in Haepyung pomegranate husk $(15.27{\mu}g/mg)$ and Jangsung pomegranate husk $(16.21{\mu}g/mg)$, respectively.

For the estimation of greenhouse gas dynamics in forests, it is useful to use a model which simulates both carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) cycle simultaneously. A forest C model, called FBDC, was developed and validated in Korea. However, studies on development of forest N model are insufficient. This study aimed to suggest a development process of a forest C and N model. We analyzed the general features, structures, ecological processes, input data, output data, and methods of integrating C and N cycles of the VISIT, Biome-BGC, Forest-DNDC, and O-CN. The structure and features of the FBDC were also analyzed. The VISIT was developed by integrating forest C model with a N cycle module, and the new model also could be designed by combining the FBDC with a N cycle module. The VISIT and Forest-DNDC could estimate soil $N_2O$ emissions, and the integrated model should include the processes shared by these models. Especially, the overseas models linked C and N cycles based on N absorption, C absorption, and decomposition of dead organic matter. Therefore, the integration of the FBDC with N cycle module should apply this linkage of structures between C and N cycles. Climate, soil texture, and species distribution data, which are essential for the model development, were available in Korea. However, parameter data associated with N cycle and validation data for soil $N_2O$ emissions need to be obtained by field studies.
Complexes of thiocyanato(L)cobaloximes where L is urea, acetamide, semicrabazide and formamide were synthesized and characterized. The reaction of thiocyanato (L) cobaloximes (SCNCo$(DH)_2$(L)) with benzyl (aquo) cobaloxime $PhCH_2Co(DH)_2(OH_2)$ was found to produce a series of thiocyanato bridged dicobaloximes of a general formula of $PhCH_2Co(DH)_2SCNCo(DH_2)(L)$. Evidence for formulation as dicobaloximes containing thiocyanato ligand bridges was obtained from infrared data which show $20-45cm^{-1}$ increase in vCN upon formation of the dicobaloxime from the corresponding terminal thiocyanocobaloxime (SCNCo$(DH)_2$(L)). Further characterization of these two series was done on the basis of ($^1H$,$^{13}C$)NMR, LCMS and elemental analysis. Anti-microbial activity of thiocyanato(L)cobaloximes and thiocyanato bridged dicobaloximes were screened against E. Coli. The DNA-binding behaviors of both monomers and dimers were investigated by spectroscopic methods and viscosity measurements. The results indicated that the dimer complexes bind with calf-thymus DNA in an intercalative mode via the terminal benzyl ring into the base pairs of DNA. It was observed that the monomer complexes did not interact with DNA. Fluorescence spectra for the interaction between thiocyanato bridged dicobaloximes and DNA were also studied.
In recent, the critical rainfall duration concept is widely used but we do not have understandable criteria yet. However, the critical rainfall duration is usually calculated considering concentration time, runoff model using effective rainfall, and unit hydrograph for the estimation of design flood. This study is to derive the regression equations between the critical rainfall duration and hydrologic components such as the basin area, slope, length, CN, and so on. We use a GIS tool which is called the ArcView for the estimation of hydrologic components and the HEC-1 module which is provided in WMS model is used for the runoff computation. As the results, the basin area, basin slope, and basin length had a great influence on the estimations of peak runoff and critical rainfall duration. We also investigated the sensitivities for the peak runoff and critical duration of rainfall from the correlation analysis for the involved components in the runoff estimation.
The material of the dental prosthesis was required bio-compatibility for biological, chemical, and physical stabilities. This study was conducted the stability evaluation of mechanical, biological characteristics through comparing Co-Cr alloy(SC group), Ti alloy(ST group) made by the selective laser melting method with Co-Cr alloy(CC group), Ni-Cr alloy(CN group) made by the casting method. Modulus of elasticity for mechanical characteristic evaluation was measured by the tensile test. And we conducted the release material analysis using lactic acid-NaCl solution for the evaluation of biological stability and were observed cytotoxicity through the content of this release medium. Taking these results into account, the Co-Cr alloy made by the selective laser melting method was observed modulus of elasticity higher than he Co-Cr alloy made by the casting method. And the Co-Cr alloy made by the selective laser melting method had more superior biological stability than the other groups as the result of cytotoxicity evaluation through the release material analysis. By this results, we think that alloys made by the selective laser melting method can be applied as materials for making the dental prosthesis.
