The purpose of this study is for consideration of John Galliano's fashion design works. Galliano, young British designer, became the chief designer of Givenchy in 1995 and of Christian Dior in 1996. Through fashion information from WWD, High Fashion, Mode et Mode, Collezioni, Vogue, Internet sites and video tapes from 1995 to 1999, his works were concerned for this study. The results are as followed; First, we can find dynamics in Galliano's works. The dynamic mood came from his study about historic costume. Second, new beauty from dismantling and reconstruction was expressed on his designs. Third, his experimental creativities were based on fashion business. Therefore Galliano's eccentricity signify the Maximalism against the Minimalism which dominated the end of 20th century. So we can find a clue to new millenium in fashion world in his designs.

This paper proposes a method of increasing the Permissible current carrying capability of underground power cables. A clue of this method is driven from the temperature distribution analysis processes according to the currents calculated from unequally mode algorithm in ampacity program.

Analyzing various works of Nam June Paik who pioneered the world of video art, we can find a number of audiovisual art pieces - in a broad sense - with the characteristics of "intermedia" that are not clearly identified as one genre. Especially, his career as a musician becomes an important clue for us to discuss the unique originality found in Paik's works. Nevertheless, examples of research that specifically explore how Paik's musicality is reflected in his artistry and could be deeply understood is still rare. This article examines Paik's audiovisual art world, and reviews how his musicality is expressed through the characteristics of media and form, as well as contributed to the ultimate technical and aesthetic realizations of his pieces from the perspective of musical synesthesia. The fact that Paik expanded the concept of music through technology, and fused different media to visualize music, is an important achievement in the context of aesthetic, synesthetic music in the field of audiovisual art.

There were little available data of vehicular incendiary fires. We investigated fires by inflammable gasoline and papers. cloths in the interior and exterior of vehicles. Fires in the interior and exterior of vehicles were carried out under the several conditions by incendiary methods and vehicle's windows. We knew that dominant factor of combustion is direction of wind at that time in vehicle's fire. And we knew that the other mark of combustion pattern in vehicle's fire could be a clue for solving the problem in discerning the place to which we sotted fire between the general fire and arson.

Implicit citation sentence recognition is to locate citation sentences which lacks explicit citation markers, from articles' full-text. State-of-the-art approaches exploit word ngrams, clue words, researcher's surnames, mentions of previous methods, and distance relative to nearest explicit citation sentences, etc., reaching over 50% performance. However, most previous works have been conducted on English. As for Korean, a rule-based method using positive/negative clue patterns was reported to attain the performance of 42%, requiring further improvement. This study attempted to learn to recognize implicit citation sentences from Korean literatures' full-text using Korean lexical features. Different lexical feature units such as Eojeol, morpheme, and Eumjeol were evaluated to determine proper lexical features for Korean implicit citation sentence recognition. In addition, lexical features were combined with the position features representing backward/forward proximities to explicit citation sentences, improving the performance up to over 50%.

The paper provides a brief account of 11 plant species used by the tribal people of the district Purulia, West Bengal, India. Most of the plant species are common in this district and some have not been reported earlier for abortive purposes, pharmacology for preparation of medicines for antifertility. All these data were obtained from the tribal medicine men (ojha). At least 10 interview reports of various tribal medicine men were recorded. Parts of various medicinal plants were observed personally, collected and preserved as herbarium specimens for proper identification. The reports of various indigenous methods may help to give some clue in searching the potent contraceptives.

Today most landscape architects and scientists have approached ecological restoration, only in a scientific way or on aesthetic way so as to deal with the complex phenomena of a site easily. However, 'the real world' as well as 'ecological nature' as it is can not be totally dealt by the scientific approach which is quantitative and reductioinal. ince a site to be restored has the character of 'place' where man 'dwells', it must be designed and built as total phenomenon. In terms of Martin Heidegger's interpretation of "revealing", we might find out how to overcome the dilemma of the 'modern technology'. To the point of the phenomenological integrity between 'modern technology' and 'art', we can reveal 'sense of place' on a site. The phenomenological approach, which is related to the characteristics of the site, implies something more than scientific since it focuses on the development of site-specific data without wasting extra data for ecological restoration. Bodily experiencing a site with the perception, man discloses the site's nature and he also analyzes it in a scientific way. Therefore the phenomenological approach might be a clue of constructing ecological restoration as well as construing the identity of landscape architecture.

High-speed GaAs IC Logic Gates being widely studied and developed in the develped countries were reanalysed and reexamined through SPICE simulations. And, furthermore, the detailed examinations of their characteristics such as operation characteristics and conditions, integration densities, service-ableness, and the limitation of both fabrication and application, give us a clue of the feasibility and application of them in the real integrated circuits. This paper will provide a reasonably good guide to set-up one of goals or future development of high-speed GaAs IC's being led by the goverment recently in our country.

A 21-month-old girl with cri-du-chat syndrome in conjunction with developmental delay underwent brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The MRI showed hypoplasia of the brain stem, a normal cerebellum, thinning of the corpus callosum, and a lack of myelination in both anterior limbs of the internal capsule. She also had neonatal bilateral subependymal cysts. We believe that the symmetrical lack of myelination in both anterior limbs of the internal capsule could be a diagnostic clue of cri-du-chat syndrome.

Taliesin West is a meaningful historic site in architecture field, because its place had still been existing only one in the world as a ideal architectural community for working and living as well as learning by doing for Taliesin Fellowships and others based on F. L. Wright's idea of Organic Architecture. The main purpose of this study was to follow up the architectural thought and its construction shown in F. L. Wright's 'Taliesin West'. A study on the key notes are as follows; 1) The key-clue of the construction background for Taliesin West was based on the project of 'Complex Campus Building' which was early planed by F. L. Wright. 2) A basic design idea for Taliesin West was admiring from its own site characters as well as the Experimental construction methods and materials. 3) Design motive of Taliesin West was based on American Indian's movable shelter which called 'Tepee.' 4) A construction of F. L. Wright's temporary studio, Ocotilla, was a good opportunity to construct for Taliesin West which construction methods, covered and framed, were same as Ocotilla. 5) A concept idea of the master plan for Taliesin West came from combining Taliesin's Hillside Home School and Complex Campus Building project. 6) Construction of Taliesin West was a final accomplished place as F. L. Wright's utopia architecture and community.
