  • The purpose of this paper is tthe first, diagnosing the effect of terminal operating strategy which Busan Port container operators established and executed by the strategy execution process (XPP) model, second, enhancing the competitiveness of Busan Port Container Terminal by presenting ways to improve the executive ability of strategies. In order to achieve the purpose, this study utilized XPP 6 steps diagnostic variables of Kaplan and Dr. Norton for problems of the strategy execution of Busan Port container operators and conducted the survey of 7-point scale targeting employees of Busan Port container operators for the variable measurement.

A Study on the Influence of Young Entrepreneurs' Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial preparation upon the Entrepreneurial Performance: Centered on Mediated Effect of Entrepreneurial infra system using (기업가정신과 창업준비가 사업성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 창업인프라 활용 매개효과 중심으로)

  • Younger starters to be ready on the entrepreneurial performance and raising and producing potential creative person who demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit are not only important factor for added value creation along with national growth but also economic development to join the ranks of advanced countries. Thereby, a lots of interests and supports are focused in entrepreneurship and the startup activities. However, to create business achievement, we should nurture successful entrepreneurship based on using infrastructure in entrepreneurial ecosystem induced by aggressive investments and supports of the policy. Therefore, this study is empirical test of 203 young CEO of techniques which possibly create added value and national development, inventive type in knowledge service and opportunity type. Research finding is that entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial preparation have meaningful effects on the performance and the ready state. Entrepreneurship has no direct effects on entrepreneurial infra system. Entrepreneurial preparation has meaningful effects on entrepreneurial infra system. We induced that it is hard to earn business achievement by only using entrepreneurial infra system in that entrepreneurial infra system has no effect on business achievement. Lastly, entrepreneurship infra system has no relationship as mediating effects with effects of entrepreneurship on business achievement in mediating effect test. While young CEOs with entrepreneurship create business achievement without using entrepreneurship infra, entrepreneurship infra has relationship as mediating effect with effect of entrepreneurial preparation on business achievement. Namely, we induced the result that using entrepreneurship infra aggressively improve achievement in entrepreneurial preparation. Through this study, we need entrepreneurship education for young CEOs and effort to develop entrepreneur's competence to improve achievement and we concluded that approaching systematically in entrepreneurial preparation and using various entrepreneurship infra aggressively are important factors to improve achievement.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the post management impact of consulting service for small and medium enterprise in Korea using hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The results show that first, consulting activities have an effect on the consulting performance. Second, this research found that post management is an important moderate variable between consulting activities and performance. This study have an important meaning that we confirm a part of the knowledge management service for the consulting service, which is considered temporary task, to practice sustainability business.

  • This study investigates the effect of entrepreneurship on corporate performance highlighting the mediating role of technological innovation and the moderating role of marketing competence. By identifying the role of technological innovation and marketing competence within the relationship between the entrepreneurship and corporate's business performance, this study aims to improve SMBs' competence. Special attention was given to the fact that while there are some technology-based SMBs which have achieved positive outcomes through innovation, there are some other firms which have not been able to deliver expected outcomes despite of their technological competence. The data used in this study came from CEO or chief research executives of SMBs. Results of the data analysis show that the innovative sprit which is an important factor of entrepreneurship has an positive effect on technological performance, financial performance and non-financial performance. However, risk- taking tendency has an positive effect on technological performance but negative effects on financial and non- financial performance of the firms. This study also has examined the mediating effect of technological innovation on the relationship between entrepreneurship and corporate's performance and the result reveals that technological innovation plays a mediating role within the relationship. Specially, innovative spirit plays a full mediating role within the relationship between technological commercialization capacity and financial and non-financial performances of SMEs'. Also, risk taking tendency has a full mediating effect on the positive relationship between strategic planning capability and both financial and non-financial performance. Regarding the moderating role of marketing capability within the relationship between the entrepreneurship and the performance of the firms, results of data analysis shows as follows. Marketing professional capability plays a moderating role between risk taking tendency and performance of the firm and marketing structural capability plays a moderating role between innovative spirit and the performance of the firms. Based on these results, this study confirms that SMEs' business performance is effected by entrepreneurship. Innovative spirit plays a mediating role within the relationship entrepreneurship and business performance. However, Marketing capability has a partial moderating effect on the relationship between the entrepreneurship and the business performance.

The Effects of Adversity Quotient and R&D Capabilities on Corporate Performance: The Mediating Role of Organizational Creativity Influencing Factors (역경지수와 연구개발역량이 기업성과에 미치는 영향: 조직창의성 영향요인의 매개역할)

  • This study examined the effects of adversity quotient and R&D capabilities on corporate performance and the mediating role of organizational creativity influencing factors in the relationship between these variables. This study established seven hypotheses, divided the adversity quotient into control, reach, and endurance, divided organizational creativity influencing factors into organizational resources and creative management practices, and divided corporate performance into management performance and technical performance. This study distributed 1,000 One hundred and sixteenquestionnaires to CEOs working at small and medium-sized technology start-ups in Gyeonggi-do and collected 122 copies under anonymous names. 116 questionnaires were used for hypothesis testing, excluding 6 cases in which responses were unfaithful or omitted. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was found that reach among the adversity quotient was positively related to organizational resources. Second, among the adversity quotient, control was found to have a positive(+) effect on management performance and technical performance, respectively. Third, organizational management practices were found to have a positive(+) effect on management performance. Fifth, organizational resources were found to partially mediate the relationship between control and technical performance, and to fully mediate the relationship between reach and technical performance. Finally, this study discussed the theoretical and practical implications of the research results.

  • This study is an empirical analysis completed based on a survey of the members of major construction companies and is analyzed to verify the relationship between the ethical characteristics of major construction companies and firm's competitiveness and its effects. In this study, based on previous researches in domestic and foreign, the factors that are affected by the business ethics were analyzed, and the competitiveness of firms, which is a dependant variable, was divided into four different types: quality, price, sales, and promotion. The proposal and final conclusion regarding the relationship between job satisfaction and concentration was made after the investigation of research hypothesis. The conclusions described below:(By the Linear regression analysis) 1. The product competitiveness is affected by moral competence, will to act ethical management, transparency of fairness, customers, and social responsibility. 2. The price competitiveness is affected by will to act ethical management, transparency of fairness, customers, and social responsibility.

  • This study would be research for correlations between ethical factors and company's competitiveness of small and medium enterprises thorough recognizing of important company ethic and approaching to them theoretically. This study has collected all information which small and medium enterprises around Seoul and Kyounggi province and employing more than 5, which 134- survey are used totally. Study reveals that firstly customer and social responsibility provide Positive effects on the organization Dust, secondly CEO's views serve those positive effects as well, thirdly it is not preyed that ethical capacity of company have a positive effect on organization trust. Fourthly, organization trust has good effects on competitiveness of product and price. This results lead to some suggestions as follows. First of all, company should serves systemized value to customers and their societies. For that, it is necessary to analyse their needs and to reflect them into corporate management to build close relationship with customers and reliable marketing activities, efforts to enhance corporate images. This chain of work can make employees feel proud themselves. Secondly, supervisors including CEO should set the pace with high-consensus for ethical behaviour. Thirdly, ethical factors should be improved for improving organization trust simultaneously. Every customer, no matter they are inner or outer, should have highly required ethical understandings for their networks. Furthermore, they have to enhance organization trust and to strengthen company competitiveness through stimulating employee's courages and contribution.

  • In this study, the influence of the CEOs' characteristics on the technology innovation performances of IT venture companies was analyzed. The relation between business performance and the characteristics of CEOs has been dealt with in earlier studies, but most paid attention to financial perspective, and few of these focused on the influence of managers on technology innovation. On the other hand, most of the studies related to the role of managers in technology innovation mainly focused on R&D investment and research infrastructure but did not delve on the characteristics of them in an in-depth way. In this study, the characteristics of CEOs and their technology innovation performances were empirically analyzed based on the results of a recently conducted survey on the IT venture companies. In the analytical aspect, a negative binominal model was applied to solve the over-dispersion problem that often appears in the count variable analysis. As a result, it was found that major, work type, and work experience, among managers' characteristics, have significant influences on managers' technology innovation performances, along with the company's innovation capacity, technological competitiveness, market competition, and support from the government.

  • The performance of FTA has a close relationship with the application of FTA by exporting companies. However, most existing literatures focus on the study of policies and economic results of FTA. Moreover, these researches based on a presupposition that exporting companies could make good use of FTA. Actually, these assumptions are clearly contrary to the reality of FTA application of exporting companies in Korea and the results are significantly differ from the performance of FTA. Based on the investigation of utilization of FTA, applied by export companies in Korea, this study tries to find out the most efficient strategies of the application of FTA. And the objective of this study is to propose some practical suggestions for export companies based on the case an alysis which will help them to improve performances of Korea-ASEAN FTA application. As the prior investigation of CEO's characters, application of FTA, and the implement of FTA, we got the fact that among lots of marketing strategies, Korea-ASEAN FTA is used extensively by large export companies. However, most of small and medium-sized export enterprises would like to choose conventional tariff, such as Lower tariffs and zero tariff as the main marketing strategies. In other words, because of lacking of human resources and infrastructure, the application of Korea-ASEAN FTA strategy is hard to achieve.

A Study on the Priority Affecting the Succession of the Family Firm Using AHP (후계자 관점에서 가업승계에 영향을 미치는 요인들의 중요도에 대한 AHP분석 연구)

  • This study focuses on succession in a family business which is the crucial factor affecting future and survival of a family business. Especially, the study concentrate a successor's view which is regarded as a key-player during the succession. In this study, we used AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) methodology to identify priorities of factors influencing succession. We divided into two-tier level. The first-tier is defined as 1) the relationship with an incumbent CEO, 2) a successor 's management ability, 3) a successor' s self-efficacy and 4) succession plan. For the second-tier of each first-tier have 3 sub-factors ; 1) the relationship with an incumbent CEO is set as level of mutual trust, sharing the vision of a company, and level of communication each other. 2) A successor 's management ability is based on business competence, education and training and interpersonal management ability, 3) a successor 's self-efficacy was set as successor' s willingness of succession, confidence of overcoming crisis and confidence of achieving objectives. Lastly, 4) a succession plan is set as finance plan, leadership transformation plan and human-organization management plan. A total of 93 questionnaires is distributed and retrieved, and 88 questionnaires are used for the study, excluding those with missing data. As a result of this study, successors selected 1) the relationship with an incumbent C.E.O. as the most important priority in the first-tier. The second is 2) a successor 's management ability, the third is 3) a successor' s self-efficacy, and the last priority is 4) a succession plan. In particular, 3 sub-factors that make up the relationship with an incumbent are the most important factors. These factors rank the first to the third in the final result.
