보완. 대체요법관련 국내 간호연구의 동향분석 (The Analysis of Trends in Complementary and Alternative Therapy (CAT) in Nursing Research in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze trends in complementary and alternative therapy in nursing research in Korea. Method: The researchers examined academic theses and dissertations published from 1990 to 2002, and 151 articles were used for the analysis. Result: Nursing research on CAT increased rapidly from 1995 Articles with quantitative research designs made up 93.9% of the total and there were more experimental studies than non-experimental studies. Patients who had surgery, mental disorders, renal failure, hypertension, arthritis, dementia & cancer were the most frequently participants in studies on CAT. The type of CAT used in nursing research were mind-body therapy (65.8%), manual healing therapy (28.7%), phamacologic & biological therapy (3.7%), bioelectromagnetics (0.9%) and herbal therapy (0.9%). In 44 articles both psychological and physiological parameters were used as dependent variables. In 34 articles only physiological parameters were used and in 13 only psychological parameters. The most frequently used physiological parameters in CAT were pain, physiological function and vital signs, while the most used psychological parameters were anxiety, depression and stress. Conclusion: More studies about CAT are needed to extend the role and fields for professional nursing. There is a need to conduct qualitative studies in nursing about the experiences of patients who receive CAT and nurses who use CAT.

CAT 모형을 이용한 울산지역 주요 하천유역의 물순환 분석 (Analysis of Water Cycle at Main Streams in Ulsan Using CAT Model)

  • 본 연구는 태화강을 비롯한 동천, 회야강 및 청량천 등 울산의 주요 하천유역을 대상으로 최근 한국건설기술연구원이 개발한 CAT모형을 이용하여 물순환 분석을 실시하였다. CAT모형의 적용을 위해 태화강은 25개, 동천은 11개, 회야강은 17개 그리고 청량천은 5개의 소유역으로 분할하여 유출기여유역과 함양유역으로 구분하는 개념을 적용하였다. 대상유역에서 1975년도와 2008년에 실측된 강우량과 토지이용도 변화 등의 수문자료를 이용하여 물순환 분석을 실시한 결과, 4개 하천유역 모두에서 도시화에 따른 불투수 면적의 증가로 인해 표면유출은 중가하고 중간유출은 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 태화강과 태화강의 지천인 동천유역의 표면유출 증가는 1.7%와 2.4%로서 비교적 적고, 회야강과 청량천은 3.2%와 7.7%로 증가폭이 큰 것은 유역의 개발에 따른 도시화율 증가의 정도를 잘 반영하는 것으로 분석되었다.

Wake Turbulence RE-CAT 적용과 효과성에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Application of RE-CAT and Effectiveness)

  • Wake turbulence generated by the lead aircraft has a significant impact on the following aircraft and it is has been considered a key factor to consider whenin determining the longitudinal separation between the aircraft. ICAO classifies aircraft into four wake turbulence categories based on the maximum takeoff weight and provides the longitudinal separation minima for each category. Due to richer measured data and better understanding of physical processes, it is raised that classifying aircraft with only four wake turbulence grades is imprecise and leads to over-separation in many instances. In this regards, much research on a new method of classifying Wake Turbulence Category(Re-CAT) has been done by EURO-CONTROL, FAA, and ICAO. The main purpose of this study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the existing wake turbulence separation standards with Re-CAT in terms of departure capacity and the resulting benefits of Re-CAT using the data from the Incheon International Airport. The results show that EUROCONTROL and new ICAO standards have the greater effect on reducing wake turbulence separation, compared to the FAA RE-CAT standards. It is also concluded that Re-CAT presents different results of wake turbulence separation depending on the flight characteristics of each airport.

한국의 청천난류 예보 시스템에 대한 연구 Part I: 한국형 통합 난류 예측 알고리즘 (A Study of Forecast System for Clear-Air Turbulence in Korea Part I: Korean Integrated Turbulence Forecasting Algorithm (KITFA))

  • Based on the pilot reports (PIREPs) collected in South Korea from 2003 to 2008 and corresponding Regional Data Assimilation and Prediction System (RDAPS) analysis data of 30 km resolution, we validate the Korean Integrated Turbulence Forecasting Algorithm (KITFA) system that predicts clear-air turbulence (CAT) above the Korean peninsula. The CATs considered in this study are the upper level (higher than 20000 ft) turbulence excluding convectively induced turbulences. In the KITFA system, there are two main processes for predicting CATs: to select CAT indices and to determine their weighting scores. With the PIREPs observed for much longer period than those used in the current operational version of the KITFA system (March 4-April 8 of 2002), three improvable processes of the current KITFA system, re-calculation of weighting scores, change of method to calculate weighting scores, and re-selection of CAT indices, are tested. The largest increase of predictability is presented when CAT indices are selected by using longer PIREP data, with the minor change using different methods in calculation of weighting scores. The predictability is the largest in wintertime, and it is likely due to that most CAT indices are related to the jet stream that is strongest in wintertime. This result suggests that selecting proper CAT indices and calculating their weighting scores based on the longer PIREPs used in this study are required to improve the current KITFA.

보완대체요법에 대한 간호사와 의사의 태도 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of Nurses and Physicians' Attitudes about Complementary and Alternative Therapy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a fundamental reference for the clinical implementation of Complementary and Alternative Therapy(CAT) by surveying and analyzing different perception and attitude between nurses and physicians. Method: A total of 167 nurses and 103 physicians from two C university health science centers participated in this survey, and SPSS program with version 10.0 was used to analyze the result of survey. Result: As results, 72.7% nurses and 57.1% physicians showed positive attitude for the concept of CAT, 60.6% nurses and 36.7% physicians responded positively while 2.6% nurses and 25.9% physicians responded negatively for the application of CAT to the clinical practice. There was a meaningful difference between two groups in the belief of therapeutic effectiveness of CAT. 67.7% nurses believed the therapeutic effectiveness of CAT while 38.8% physicians did. For attitudes of nurses and physicians toward CAT showed meaningful difference according to general characteristics: age, gender, marital status, a level of education, position in the organization, religion, and duration of health care service other than inpatient units. Conclusion: In this study, the attitudes of nurses and physicians about CAT showed meaningful difference that nurses were more positive than physicians in application.

  • Industrial network, often referred to as fieldbus, becomes an indispensable component for intelligent manufacturing systems. Thus, in order to satisfy the real-time requirements of field devices such as sensors, actuators, and controllers, numerous fieldbus protocols have been developed. But, the application of fieldbus has been limited due to the high cost of hardware and the difficulty in interfacing with multi-vendor products. As an alternative to fieldbus, the Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) technology is being adapted to the industrial environment. However, the crucial technical obstacle of Ethernet is its non-deterministic behavior that cannot satisfy the real-time requirements. Recently, the EtherCAT protocol becomes a very promising alternative for real-time industrial application due to the elimination of uncertainties in Ethernet. This paper focuses on the implementation of the IEC 61800 based real-time EtherCAT network for multi-axis smart driver. To demonstrate the feasibility of the implemented EtherCAT slave module, its synchronization performance is evaluated on the experimental EtherCAT testbed with a single axis smart driver.

비골골절의 진단시 전산화단층촬영의 유용성 (The Value of Facial Bone CAT Scan in the Diagnosis of the Nasal Bone Fracture)

  • Purpose: The nasal bone fracture is the most common type of facial bone fracture. In making a diagnosis, physical findings are much more important than the simple radiologic findings. Facial bone CAT scan can provide the accurate diagnosis and the correct location of nasal bone fractures, so it can be lessoned with proper intervention. The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of facial bone CAT scan in the diagnosis of nasal bone fractures. Methods: The medical records and facial bone CAT scan of 45 patients clinically suspected nasal bone fracture but was not diagnosed on simple radiologic findings were analyzed. Results: All of the 45 patients were confirmed as nasal bone fractures in the facial bone CAT scan. The most common cause of fracture was assault. The mean age was 23.2 years. Physical findings were tenderness (100%), swelling(93.3%), epistaxis(66.6%), deviation (42.2 %), external wound(17.7%) and crepitus(4.4%) in order. Conclusions: It was concluded that the simple radiologic findings can not be conclusive, where the physical findings indicate a suspected nasal bone fracture. The facial bone CAT scan was more reliable for the correct diagnosis and follow-on treatment.

Cloning and Expression of Pseudomonas cepacia catB Gene in Pseudomonas putida

  • The enzyme, cis,cis-muconate lactonizing enzyme has been proposed to play a key role in the $\beta$-ketoadipate pathway of benzoate degradation. A 3.2-kb EcoRI fragment termed as pRSU2, isolated from a Pseudomonas cepacia genomic library was able to complement the catB defective mutant. Several relevant restriction enzyme sites were determined within the cloned fragment. In Pseudomonas putida SUC2 carrying pRSU2, the enzyme activity was relatively higher than those of the induced or partially induced state of wild type P. putida PRS2000. It was probably due to higher expression of P. cepacia catB in P. putida PRS2000. It was probably due to higher expression of P. cepacia catB in P. putida. One possible interpretation of these results is that the catB promoter in P. cepacia is recognized within P. putida, resulting in the almost same expression level.

  • In this paper, we construct an iteration scheme involving a hybrid pair of the Suzuki generalized nonexpansive single-valued and multi-valued mappings in a complete CAT(0) space. In process, we remove a restricted condition (called end-point condition) in Akkasriworn and Sokhuma's results [2] in Banach spaces and utilize the same to prove some convergence theorems. The results in this paper, are analogs of the results of Akkasriworn et al. [3] in Banach spaces.
