PURPOSES : This study examines the performance changes of road networks according to the strength of a disaster, and proposes a method for estimating the quantitative resilience according to the road-network performance changes and damage scale. This study also selected high-influence road sections, according to disasters targeting the road network, and aimed to analyze their hazard resilience from the network aspect through a scenario analysis of the damage recovery after a disaster occurred. METHODS : The analysis was conducted targeting Sejong City in South Korea. The disaster situation was set up using the TransCAD and VISSIM traffic-simulation software. First, the study analyzed how road-network damage changed the user's travel pattern and travel time, and how it affected the complete network. Secondly, the functional aspects of the road networks were analyzed using quantitative resilience. Finally, based on the road-network performance change and resilience, priority-management road sections were selected. RESULTS : According to the analysis results, when a road section has relatively low connectivity and low traffic, its effect on the complete network is insignificant. Moreover, certain road sections with relatively high importance can suffer a performance loss from major damage, for e.g., sections where bridges, tunnels, or underground roads are located, roads where no bypasses exist or they exist far from the concerned road, including entrances and exits to suburban areas. Relatively important roads have the potential to significantly degrade the network performance when a disaster occurs. Because of the high risk of delays or isolation, they may lead to secondary damage. Thus, it is necessary to manage the roads to maintain their performance. CONCLUSIONS : As a baseline study to establish measures for traffic prevention, this study considered the performance of a road network, selected high-influence road sections within the road network, and analyzed the quantitative resilience of the road network according to scenarios. The road users' passage-pattern changes were analyzed through simulation analysis using the User Equilibrium model. Based on the analysis results, the resilience in each scenario was examined and compared. Sections where a road's performance loss had a significant influence on the network were targeted. The study results were judged to become basic research data for establishing response plans to restore the original functions and performance of the destroyed and damage road networks, and for selecting maintenance priorities.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to analyze a sample of single corridor, pod type and composite type of ICUs in terms of patient visibility, spatial configurations and nurse walking distance focused on Korean cases. Methods: The measures of static visibility were used to quantify the patient visibility (upper third part of the patient bed) from the nurse station. The measure of space programme and area distribution (patient zone percentage, staff zone percentage, circulation zone percentage, corridor length per bed, distance from nurse station (NS) to patient bed and departmental gross square meter (DGSM) per patient bed) were calculated by using AutoCAD and MS Excel programs. In the second step of analysis the values of space distribution were compared among the three type of ICUs as well as the nurse walking distance, DGSM per bed and gross factor. in the third step of analysis regression analysis was conducted for the possible correlation between visibility and space programme and area distribution factors as well as nurse walking distance factors. Results: (1) It was found that on average composite type unit offer highest value of patient visibility followed by pod type, while single corridor type unit offers the minimum value of patient visibility among the three plan typologies. (2) Average patient visibility and DGSM per bed shows a strong positive correlation ($r^2=0.75$) and p=0.026. (3) Average patient visibility and average distance from NS has a strong negative correlation ($r^2=0.78$), and P=0.02. (4) On average composite type unit offer the minimum walking distance from NS (7.22 meter) followed by pod type unit (8.35 meter) and single corridor (9.76 meter). (5) Maximum distance from NS was noted in single corridor (18.19 meter) followed by pod type unit (15.14 meter) and Composite type unit (11.1 meter). Implications: This study may contribute to the visibility analysis of existing and future ICU design in Korea to achieve maximum patient visibility and reduced nurse walking distance.

IOV is a technology that supports one or more virtual desktops, and can share a single physical device. In general, the virtual desktop uses the virtual IO devices which are provided by virtualization SW, using SW emulation technology. Virtual desktops that use the IO devices based on SW emulation have a problem in which service quality and performance are declining. Also, they cannot support the high-end application operations such as 3D-based CAD and game applications. In this paper, we propose a physical network separation system using Virtual Desktop Service based on HW direct assignments to overcome these problems. The proposed system provides independent desktops that are used to access the intranet or internet using server virtualization technology in a physical desktop computer for the user. In addition, this system can also support a network separation without network performance degradation caused by inspection of the network packet for logical network separations and additional installations of the desktop for physical network separations.

Purpose: This research was conducted to compare the marginal and internal fit of zirconia prostheses fabricated with the model scan method and the intraoral scan method. Materials and methods: In this study, 20 extracted human mandibular first molar was used in the preparation of abutment tooth for the fabrication of zirconia prostheses. In the first group, the model scan method was applied on 10 prepared teeth. In the other group, the intraoral scan method was used on other 10 prepared teeth. Datum of both groups were transmitted to the software system. Afterwards, 20 zirconia prostheses were fabricated using the Ceramill system. Weight technique was used to evaluate the internal gap of the zirconia prostheses. In the Replica technique, marginal gap of the zirconia prostheses were analyzed by optical microscopy. Statistical analysis was based on one-way ANOVA. Results: Model scan group showed lower average weight than intraoral scan group when weight technique was applied, which has significance (P < .05). Also, model scan group showed significantly lower figures in all 5 measurements of replica technique than intraoral scan group (P < .05). Conclusion: Zirconia prostheses of both groups demonstrated clinically acceptable margin and internal fit. However, model scanned zirconia prostheses showed higher marginal and internal fit than intraoral scanned crowns.
Digital Mammography makes it possible to reproduce the entire breast image. And it is used to detect microcalcification and mass which are the most important point of view of nonpalpable early breast cancer, so it has been used as the primary screening test of breast disease. It is reported that microcalcification of breast lesion is important in diagnosis of early breast cancer. In this study, six types of texture features algorithms are used to detect microcalcification on breast US images and the study has analyzed recognition rate of lesion between normal US images and other US images which microcalification is seen. As a result of the experiment, Computer aided diagnosis recognition rate that distinguishes mammography and breast US disease was considerably high 70~98%. The average contrast and entropy parameters were low in ROC analysis, but sensitivity and specificity of four types parameters were over 90%. Therefore it is possible to detect microcalcification on US images. If not only six types of texture features algorithms but also the research of additional parameter algorithm is being continually proceeded and basis of practical use on CAD is being prepared, it can be a important meaning as pre-reading. Also, it is considered very useful things for early diagnosis of breast cancer.
Purpose: To design and fabricate the distributed auto edging machine for the development. Methods: We got the necessary data needed in design by using CAD. Based on the these data, we fabricated the trial product for the development of the distributed auto edging machine. Results: The patternless mode could be operated by receiving the eyesize data from the auto lay-outer with the RS232C transmission system and the pattern mode could be operated by setting the pattern on the left side of the machine. The distributed auto edging machine were composed with combinations of many elements; head, auto arm, pattern clamp and grinding wheels. The head part controlled the grinding of ophthalmic lens by operating the vertical and horizontal motors. The wheels part was comprised of glass mode, plastic mode, V-bevel mode and polish mode. The slide in the auto arm was equipped on the below of the patten and the slide could hold up the pattern which was rotated by fixed shaft. The pattern clamp could move the head part to the up and down or right or left way by the manual operation of optometrists. Conclusions: We could succeed in making the trial product by applying it to the development of the distributed auto edging machine which could be used as the patternless mode and pattern mode, selectively. Therefore, it was confidently expected that this product was very helpful for the optometrists to dispense the ophthalmic lens because of its cost-efficiency and convenience.

As the Korean government initiates the Han-style campaign, the efforts and expectations for the modernization and industrialization of Hanok are growing. Accordingly, a major R&D project sponsored by the government is in progress for the development of related technologies, in which the development of a Hanok design support system based on Building Information Modeling(BIM) technology is included as one of the major subjects. However, the development of design tools for Hanok so far has not focused on the windows and doors, which is another major element of Korean traditional architecture. Therefore, this study developed a BIM-based design tool for Hanok windows and doors as an approach to the integrated design of various Hanok elements and their applications to modern buildings. To this end, the characteristics of Hanok windows and doors were analyzed first in terms of the location, opening method, style, components, and the over-all construction. A design tool was then developed with the parametric modeling functions of the $ArchiCAD^{(R)}$system. The applicability and efficiency of the developed tool were verified with design simulations. This is expected to contribute to not only the application of Hanok windows and doors to modern buildings but also to the further development of an integrated Hanok design system.

The purpose of this study is to know whether Yttrium-stabilized-tetragonal -zirconia-polycrystal(Y-TZP ceramic) gets enough shear bond strength for clinical uses by applying veneering composite resin through surface treatment on it and finally to compare it with the case of applying veneering porcelain. LavaTM zirconia frameworks(3M ESPE, Seefeld, Germany) were prepared. Group P was manufactured with LavaTM Ceram(3M ESPE, Seefeld, Germany) in cylindrical shape which has 4mm diameter, 5mm height. Group ZSR disposed sandblasting and applied silane, bonding agent and after that indirect composite resin was applied. Group ZRR got tribochemical coating by RocatecTM system(3M ESPE. Seefeld, Germany) and treated silane. Finally Group ZPR took the same treatment and applied LavaTM Ceram in the size of 0.3-0.5mm height. After burning out, sandblasting, HF and silane was applied. And then, indirect composite resin was applied. 1000 cycle thermocycling was performed in $5-55^{\circ}C$ and shear bond strength was measured. There were no significant differences between combining veneering porcelain to Y-TZP ceramic group and combining veneering resin to Y-TZP ceramic group in the aspect of shear bond strength (p>.05).

The linkage framework of surface geometric modeling based on the NURBS and shell finite element analysis is developed in this study. In the geometrically exact shell finite element analysis, the accuracy of the analysis strongly depends upon the accurate computation of the surface geometric quantities. Therefore if we obtain the necessary geometric quantities from the NVRBS surface equation, it's possible to construct the effective linkage framework of surface modeling in the CAD systems and shell finite element analysis using geometrically exact shell finite element. Besides, the linkage framework can be applied to the analysis of general and complex surfaces as well as simple surfaces. In this study, the shell surfaces are generated by interpolating given set of data points based on the NURBS surfaces. These data points usually can be obtained from surface scanning. But the representations of the generated NURBS surface are not same to one another. The accuracy depends on the chosen parameterization methods used in NURBS. Therefore, it is needed to select the suitable parameterization method according to the geometry of the surfaces. To verify the performance and accuracy of our developed linkage framework, we solve several well-known benchmark problems and assess the performance of the developed method.
