In this study, the relationship between the environmental radiation dose rate and meteorological variables was investigated with multiple regression analysis and big data of those variables. The environmental radiation dose rate and 36 different meteorological variables were measured on Ulleung Island, Republic of Korea, from 2011 to 2015. Not all meteorological variables were used in the regression analysis because the different meteorological variables significantly affect the environmental radiation dose rate during different periods, and the degree of influence changes with time. By applying the Pearson correlation analysis and stepwise selection methods to the big dataset, the major meteorological variables influencing the environmental radiation dose rate were identified, which were then used as the independent variables for the regression model. Subsequently, multiple regression models for the monthly datasets and dataset of the entire period were developed.
This study mainly focuses on the dissatisfaction of the post-purchase behavior regarding the consumer dissatisfaction complaining behavior and repurchase intention In the literature study approach it was hypothe-sized that dissatisfaction variables was consisted of the cognitive process and emotion. And the dissatisfaction variables and the individual vari-ables and situational variables were set up to contribute to form the complaining behavior. In the process of the complaining behavior the first thing the consumers would do when they would seek for redress or not. Consumers who sought redress and actually received the fair treatment from a store practiced positive word-of-mouth. However consumers who received unfair treat-ment practived negative word-of-mouth exit behavior or the third party complaining Behavior. And consumers who did not seek any redress either showed exit behavior practiced negative word-of-mouth or no complaining behavior at all. Therefore. complaining behavior process consists of redress seeking process and non-redress seeking process. For the empirical study the survey method was used and two other researches were previously conducted. First of all the research was designed to comprehend consumer complaining behaviors process Secondly it was conducted for measuring validity and reliability: Cronbach's q. The sqmple was 569 women aged 2-'s to 5-'s living in Seoul and other suburban areas. The various methods were used to analyze the date such as frequency, percentage and multiple regression analysis. Overall the results were verified. 1) The dissatisfaction variables and individual variables influenced situational variables. 2) The complaining behavior intention was affected by dissatisfaction variables indivi-dual variables and situational variables. 3) The repurchase intention occurred more when the justice was performed Consequently the complaining behavior proce-dure was consisted of the redress seeking and non-redress seeking. And dissatisfaction vari-ables and individual variables were verified to influnce situational variables. These complaining behavior variables affected complaining behavior Especially in a case of redress seeking process complaining behavior and repurchase rate were highly affected by the perceived justice from a store.
The study examined the characteristics of the relationship of home environment variables and children's social development. Two studies were conducted ; Study I examined (1) the correlation of home environment variables and children's social ability and (2) the predictability of home environment variables for children's social ability by children's age. Study II investigated the causal relationship among the variables which are supposed to affect children's social ability. The subjects of this study were 240 children at age four, six and eight attending nursery schools, kindergartens and elementary schools and their mothers. Instruments included the Inventory of Home Stimulation (HOME), the Inventory of Sociodemographic Variables, social maturation scale, and the social-emotional developmental rating scale. The results obtained from this study were as follows : 1) Home environment variables had a positive correlation with children's social development at age four and six, but at age eight, only HOME variables had a significant positive correlation with children's social development. 2) The home environmental variables that significantly predicted children's social development differed according to children's age. That is, play materials, economic status of the home, and parent education were predictive of children's social development at age four, while parent's education, fostering maturity and independence, and play materials were predictive at age six. Fostering maturity and independence, aspects of physical environment, and economic status of the home were predictive at age eight. 3) The causal model of home environment effect on children's social development was formulated by exogenous variables (parent education and economic status of the home) and endogenous variables (direct stimulation, indirect stimulation and the emotional climate of the home). 4) The results of the analysis of the causal model showed that the variables that have a direct effect on children's social development differed according to children's age. That is, direct stimulation had more effect on children's social development at earlier ages, and indirect stimulation had more effect on children's social development at later ages. Among socio-demographic variables, parent's education was most closely related to children's social development. The amount of variance that explained children's social development decreased with increase in children's age.
This paper presents a case-building algorithm which can control the design variables of which some variables are designated as the input (known) variables and the remainders are defined as the output (unknown) variables. The case-building algorithm can enhance the design ability by categorizing design case automatically. Common CAD programs for analysis and design of machine elements use a case-selection technique where a programmer set initially a few of design cases and users can only choose one of given cases. This paper also demonstrates the case-building algorithm by applying into CAD programs for power-screw design.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the motives of residential mobility and variables which effect it through surveying questionaires of 240 housewives who lived in a tenement house. The analytical methods adopted in this study were factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, multiple regression analysis. The SPSS+ program was used in analysis. The major findings were as follows: First, the motives were composed of 6 factors ; housing improvement, housing policy, accumulation of property, comfortable residential environment, educational environment, traffic convenience. Second, there were a significant differences in residential mobility according to socio-demographic and housing variables. Third, in analysis of variables which effect residential mobility, a housing improvement influenced by socio-demographic variables, an comfortable residential environment influenced by housing variables and also family life cycle was a variable that effect factors such as housing policy, accumulation of property, educational environment and traffic convenience.
The purpose of this study is to identify the possibility of unemployed married women's economic activity by analysing their willingness to work and possible influencial factors on it. This study estimates the effects of independent variables on the dependent available by using Binomial Probit Model. sample are 592 two-parent households. The results of this study are as follows ; The percentage of unemployed married women's willingness to enter into the labor market is 25.2%. Among the variables which have affected their willingness are family variables(family size, the number of children and the existence of children under the age of 6), personal variables(the age, education level and the past working experience) and financial variables(non-wage income, Engel's coefficient, expenditure o leisure activities and the subject judgement of their financial status). It is hard to accept those women's low willingness as is since the most crucial statistically was especially the children of 6 or less among the family variables. That is to say, more favorable conditions of the labor market and inexpensive day-care centres available would certainly encourage married women to be more willing to participate in economic activities as employees.
In this paper, the effect of modification of geometric variables on the performance of a centrifugal compressor blade has been studied numerically. The compressor contains six main blades and six splitter blades. Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations with shear stress turbulence (SST) model are discretized by finite volume approximations and solved on hexahedral grids for flow analysis. The design variables from blade lean angle at tip and middle of the blade have been modified. The isentropic blade efficiency and pressure have been predicted with the variation of the variables. Frozen rotor simulation is performed and adiabatic wall condition has been used. One of the six blades of compressor has been used for simulation to reduce the computational load. Optimum number of meshes has been selected by grid-dependency test, and this is used for all the simulations with changing geometric variables. The detailed flow analysis results have been reported as well as the effects of the variables.

This paper proposes a multiple time-series model with dummy variables for one-hour ahead load forecasting. We used 11 dummy variables that were classified by day characteristics such as day of the week, holiday, and special holiday. Also, model specification and selection of input variables including dummy variables were made by test statistics such as AIC(Akaike Information Criterion) and t-test statistics of each coefficient. OLS (Ordinary Least Squares) method was used for estimation and forecasting. We found out that model specifications for each hour are not identical usually at 30% of optimal significance level, and dummy variables reduce the forecasting error if they are classified properly. The proposed model has much more accurate estimates in forecasting with less MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error).

Due to the nature of the construction industry, massive and diverse data is generated and collected from each project. It can be classified into a number of variables that specify the distinct characteristics of construction projects. However, a variable is used in different terms depending on the users. This situation plays as a great barrier to effective construction information management and also has limitations to collective research and practice. As a solution, it is essential for developing common and shared variables. In this context, the aim of this study is to define systematically organized standard variables for globally collaborative construction management. The standard variables are identified by bibliometrics analysis with VOSviewer, and the bibliographic data is collected from the Scopus with 13,533 documents about construction management.
The purpose of the study is to investigate the relation between marital communication types and self-esteem demographic-socioligical variables to eliminate the methodlogical contradiction of previous studies, this study aimed as follows: (1) correlation between marital communication types and all the independent variables, such as self-esteem, sex, age, academic history, mate selection type, family type, duration of marriage, religion, etc. and marital communication types. (2) discriminating powers of marital communication types by way of the variables mentioned above. In this study questionaire was used on 392 married Seoulites, which consists of two scales and 9 items. In order to verify the hypotheses, the following two methods were used: (1) LOGIT program to the correlation between norminal scale and /or interval scale. (2) discriminating analysis of marital communication types by way of the variables. The results of the study are as follows: (1) Only 4 variables, such as self-esteem, sex, duration of marriage and academic history, correlate with marital communication types in level P<0.05 (2) According to the discriminating analysis of the variables mentioned above, marital communication types cannot be predicted as the predictive power is only 32.2%. (3) Correlation coefficent of authoritic communication type is higher males than females and higher low degree group of self-esteem than high degree group. (4) In the some communication types, direction of correlation coefficent is different in the some variables.
