A Form-based Workflow Management System Using XML (XML을 이용한 폼 기반 워크플로우 관리 시스템)

  • Systematic management of data related to business process, and information exchange within existing information systems or between different companies have recently become an important issue. This paper tries to solve such problems by using form based workflow system using XML(extensible Markup Language), a standard for digital document exchange. In this system, a new model that formalizes documents into XML form documents and manages them is developed. By defining and operating form documents by XML, information exchange within existing information systems such as ERP and SCM or between different companies, and interoperability between different WFMS can be easily achieved. In addition, by matching form, a formalized document, with existing database schema, WFMS can be directly applied to existing information system, thus enabling continuity of data management and business activity.

  • As the IT service environment grows, it is critical in terms of IT service quality to minimize the occurrence of failures due to changes in applications and to diagnose and recover in a short period of time how failure will affect the business. Thus, the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) has been building and operating ITSMs to implement IT service management in a leading manner. Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) is divided into events, obstacles, changes, versions and setup management to ensure flexibility and stability in service delivery. It is also operated separately from service level, availability, capacity, financial and IT service continuity management to ensure service quality and cost efficiency. Based on ITSM military service history, this study looks at the impact of quality of service on value, satisfaction, and trust. The results of the analysis are highly valuable for future ITSM implementation and operation.

  • Purpose - This study analyzes the relationship between inter-function coordination variables, competitor, customer and innovation orientation that has been developed by Narver & Slater (1990), also known as Market Orientation Strategy on SME Sutera's marketing performance, through direct and indirect effect relationships. Research design, data, and methodology - This study uses a sample of 168 respondents who are silk SME entrepreneurs in eleven Silk Craftsman sub-districts in Wajo Regency - South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. Data collection using a questionnaire with a period between January - June 2019. Data analysis use PLS. The stages of testing the results of analysis go through several stages: the first stage, analysis of variable descriptions, the goodness of fit model (AVE, CR, Cronbach Alpha, R2) and hypothesis test. Results and Findings - From the fifteen hypothesis by direct and indirect effect state six hypothesis are rejected and eleven hypothesis are accepted. Overall, the concepts of Resource Based View theory (RBV) and Structure-Conduct- Performance theory (SCP) also provide a strategic picture for businessmen related to product innovation and service innovation and the urgency of regeneration in order to maintain the continuity of superior products in the future.

  • Recently, increasing security threats are not only interfering with business continuity of companies but they are al so causing serious problems on social and national levels. As violation of intellectual property rights increases due to growing competition between different companies and countries, companies are now required to follow various IT compliance regulations, under relevant legal obligations. This study proposed a model of convergence security compliance management by using machine learning, in order to help companies actively utilize IT compliance.

  • As the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is not decreasing, it is time for domestic companies to respond preemptively and in terms of business continuity. The purpose of this study is to present measures to strengthen BCP to prevent infectious diseases in the enterprise. In this work, three methods of data investigation are used. The first was to search for keywords in academic databases such as the National Assembly Library and the Korea Research and Information Service to investigate degree papers and academic papers. Second, we investigated literature such as research reports, manuals, and guidelines on infectious diseases. Finally, the researchers visited official websites such as KDCA, MOHW, and MOIS to collect and analyze recent data. BCP In view of the Board, a new risk analysis should be made and a disaster preparedness system tailored to the characteristics of the entity should be established. We need to analyze corporate weaknesses and focus on safety culture. It is also important to look at how customers choose their services and products. Based on this, differentiated service strategies should be presented. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used as basic data for companies that want to systematically manage and operate BCP to prevent infectious diseases.

  • Purpose: This paper aims to develop evaluation criteria of Plan- 'Understanding the Organization' in the PDCA(Plan-Do-Check-Act) requirements of ISO 22301 which is a global standard in the area of BCMS(Business Continuity Management System). Method: The group of 20 experts in the BCMS checked for the validity of the evaluation criteria of Plan- 'Understanding the Organization' by the modified Delphi technique and relative importance are surveyed by the group. Results: As a result, the 12 evaluation criteria with relative importance that can be applied for BCMS evaluation of the organizations are developed and proposed. Conclusion: In order to introduce a quantitive evaluation in the BCMS, it was concluded that evaluation criteria need to be chosen and given relative importance, thus the criteria with the importance could be used for effective evaluation

사업연속성을 위한 정보통신 인프라 대비체계의 국제 표준화 동향연구

  • 2009년 발생한 DDoS 사태는 정보통신 인프라에 대한 높은 의존도를 나타내는 국내 산업에 있어 보안사고가 심각한 업무 중단 사태를 나타낼 수 있음을 보여주었고 정보통신 인프라 측면에서 사업연속성에 대한 대비체계가 필요함을 시사하고 있다. 국제 표준화 기구인 ISO(International Standard Organization)에서는 보안 사고에 국한된 개념이 아닌 사업연속성을 방해하는 모든 재난 및 재해에 대한 대비체계를 미국, 영국, 호주, 일본 등 재난관리 선진국의 표준을 총망라하여 TC(Technical Committee) 223을 통해 표준(안)으로서 제시하고 있다. TC223 표준(안)의 핵심은 사건, 사고에 대한 대비 및 운영 연속성 관리를 의미하는 IPOCM(Incedent Preparedness and Operational Continuity Management) 프레임워크이며 이러한 IPOCM의 개념은 정보통신 인프라 측면에서 사업 연속성에 대한 가이드라인을 제공하는 SC(Standard Committee) 27의 "ISO/IEC 27031 Guidelines for ICT readiness for business continuity" 표준(안)에 기반을 제공하고 있다. 이러한 국제 표준화 동향을 토대로 본 논문에서는 사업연속성을 위한 국내 정보통신 인프라 대비체계에 포함될 주요 구성요소와 구축 요구사항을 제안하고자 한다.

  • The IT outsourcing industry has been widespread for decades since the growth of the system integration industry stagnates and companies need to curtail expenses and improve the quality of IT services. According to previous studies on the success factors of the IT outsourcing, its transition phase is significant because of continuity of business and the handover of knowledge. Since a transition phase consists of several projects, but its goal is different from general projects, it needs special and professional management. Therefore, recent IT outsourcing business starts to introduce PMO (project management offices), of which success strongly depends on the competencies of the PMO. However, there are only few studies on which competencies of the PMO are important. In this paper, we suggest an evaluation model of transition PMO competencies derived using the repertory grid technique and the analytic hierarchy process. Additionally, we compare the differences between the views of several stakeholders on the importance of the competencies.

A Study on leapfrogging Growth of Venture Companies: Analysis of 100 Million Dollar Company Cases in Daejeon, Korea (벤처기업의 도약적 성장에 관한 연구: 대전지역 1천억 창업사례를 중심으로)

  • With wide recognition of significant roles of venture companies in economic and industrial developments, substantial academic attention has been paid to understanding venture success and numerous policy measures have been made to help them. A serious problem, however, is that only a few limited number of venture could successfully grow to be large firm. The goal of this paper is to identify critical factors to drive 'leapfrogging' growth of venture companies by analyzing the success cases in Daejeon area. The theoretical analysis and case study suggest 1) founders' entrepreneurship continuity as a significant internal organization factor for growth and highlight importance of 2) exploring foreign markets and globalization of business operation in the early stage of growth. Furthermore, the research results identify two critical innovation strategies, 3) ambidextrous R&D strategy and 4) open innovation strategy, for entrepreneurial founders to effectively catch the business chances brought by environment change.

Disaster Recovery Priority Decision for Credit Bureau Business Information System: Fuzzy-TOPSIS Approach (신용조회업무 정보시스템의 재난복구 우선순위결정: 퍼지 TOPSIS 접근방법)

  • The aim of this paper is to extend the TOPSIS(Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) to the fuzzy environment for solving the disaster recovery priority decision problem in credit bureau business information system. In this paper, the rating of each information systems and the weight of each criterion are described by linguistic terms which can be expressed in trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. Then, a vertex method is proposed to calculate the distance between two trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. According to the concept of the TOPSIS, a closeness coefficient is defined to determine the ranking order of all information systems. The combination between the fuzzy set and TOPSIS brings several benefits when compared with other approaches, such that the fuzzy TOPSIS require few fuzzy judgements to parameterization, which contributes to the agility of the decision process, it does not limit the number of alternatives simultaneously evaluated, and it does not cause the ranking reversal problem when a new alternative is included in the evaluation process. This paper is demonstrated with a real case study of a credit rating agency involving 9 evaluation criteria and 9 credit bureau business information systems assessed by 6 evaluators, and provide the systematic disaster recovery framework for BCP(Business Continuity Planning) to practitioner. Finally, this paper show that the procedure of the proposed fuzzy TOPSIS method is well suited as a decision-making tool for the disaster recovery priority decision problem in credit bureau business information system.
