Conjoint Choice Model을 이용한 주제공원 이용자들의 선택행동 연구 (A Study on the Theme Park Users's Choice behavior: Application of Conjoint Choice Model)

  • The purposes of this study are two folds: a) to introduce conjoint choice model to research the choice behavior of theme park users, and b) to suggest the strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of theme parks. The major four theme parks in Seoul metropolitan areas were selected as study areas. A leading polling agency was employed to select 432 respondents by probability sampling and to conduct face-to-face interview. Both alternative generating and choice set generating fractional factorial design were conducted simultaneously to meet the necessary and sufficient conditions for calibration of the conjoint choice model. Dummy coding was used to represent the attribute levels, and the alternative-specific model was calibrated. The goodness-of-fit of the model was quite satisfactory($\rho$$^2$=0.47950), and most parameters values had to expected sign and magnitude. Car was preferred transport mode to shuttle bus for visiting theme parks ; however the most ideal attribute levels only were estimated significantly. Most attribute levels of shuttle bus were estimated significantly except the Dream Land, which is the least attractive park among study areas. Simulation results showed that the shuttle bus was a mode worth providing to switch the current car dominant visiting pattern of theme parks, which will be one the effective strategies to attract more patrons, especially for potential users adjacent to parks. Several ideals were suggested for future researches, in terms of utilization of more general utility function and new base alternative, and inclusion of more salient attributes such as constraints in the model.

개별행태 접근방법에 의한 교통수단선택 행태분석에 관한 연구 -대구광역시 사례를 중심으로- (A Study on the Behavioral Analysis of Travel Mode Choice using Disaggregate Behavioral Approach)

  • The main purpose of this study is identifying the factors which affect the mode choice behavior of work trips. Disaggregate behavioral approach is used for the analysis . The data were collected using the questionnaire survey method in Taegu. Two models were developed in this study which are multinomial logit model(MODEL-1) for auto, taxi and bus and multinomial logit model (MODEL-2) for auto, taxi, bus and subway. The stated preference (SP) data were used for the analysis of the subway mode choice behavior. MODEL-1 provide reasonable results for the future application. A multinomial model (MODEL-2) developed using the stated preference(SP) data was tested for the use of future transportation mode. It is four that the those models provides reasonable results in terms of behavioral and statistical consideration.

선호의식 조사를 통한 버스 차내 혼잡도 정보제공이 버스선택에 미치는 영향 분석 (Stated Preference Analysis of the Impacts of Bus Crowdedness Information on Bus Choice)

  • 기존 버스정보 시스템(BIS, Bus Information Systems)에 의해 제공되는 교통정보는 도착예정시간 정보와 같은 실시간 운행정보 위주인 반면 본 연구에서는 이용자들의 다양한 교통정보 수요를 반영하고 대중교통 이용 편의성 향상을 위해 새로운 대중교통정보 제공 서비스인 실시간 버스 차내 혼잡도 정보에 관해 논의한다. 버스 차내 혼잡도 정보제공이 이용자들의 버스선택 행태에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 선호의식 조사를 실시하였으며 버스 선택모형 구축을 위해 대표적 개별행태모형인 이항로짓모형을 적용하였다. 또한 이용자 계층별(연령대별, 통행목적별 등) 정보제공 효과 분석을 위해 계층별 버스 선택모형을 구축하였다. 모형 추정결과 실시간 버스 차내 혼잡정보는 이용자들의 버스선택 행동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되어 정보제공의 필요성이 있음을 보였다. 버스 차내 혼잡정보가 버스선택에 미치는 영향은 연령대별(청년층, 장년층, 고령층)로 차이가 있었으며 특히 고령자(60대 이상)의 버스선택에 가장 큰 영향이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 통행목적 별로 분석한 결과 통근?통학과 같은 업무통행에 비하여 비업무통행(여가/친교/개인업무, 쇼핑, 병원)인 경우가 버스차내 혼잡정보에 더 민감하였으며 특히 쇼핑통행인 경우가 가장 높았다.

대중교통 이용자의 환승교통수단선택 행태분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Users' Travel Behavior Analysis of Transit Transfer)

  • 본 연구는 개별형태모형 중에서 다항로짓모형을 이용하여 대구시의 대중교통 이용자를 대상으로 한 환승교통수단선택모형을 구축한 것이다. 다항로짓모형 추정을 위해 사용된 종속변수는 버스${\leftrightarrow}$버스, 버스${\leftrightarrow}$지하철, 지하철${\leftrightarrow}$지하철, 버스${\leftrightarrow}$기타교통수단, 지하철${\leftrightarrow}$기타교통수단의 5가지 유형을 사용하였고, 환승교통 수단선택에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상되는 설명변수로는 성별, 나이, 교통주체, 통행목적, 환승지역, 통행비용, 통행시간의 7가지를 사용하였다. 구축한 다항로짓모형을 이용하여 주어진 설명변수의 값에 대한 환승확률을 산정하였고, 모형의 적합도를 나타내는 ${\rho}^2$는 0.354로서 적합하게 나타났다. 설명변수(통행시간, 통행비용)값의 변화에 따른 확률변화를 가지고 한계효과를 분석하였다. 통행시간에 따른 환승의 한계효과는 통행시간이 증가하면 할수록 버스${\leftrightarrow}$버스, 버스${\leftrightarrow}$지하철의 이용객들이 지하철${\leftrightarrow}$지하철로 전환되는 것으로 분석되었으며, 통행요금에 따른 환승의 한계효과 분석에서는 버스${\leftrightarrow}$버스, 버스${\leftrightarrow}$지하철의 이용요금이 증가함에 따라 버스 및 지하철${\leftrightarrow}$기타교통수단으로의 전환이 증가하는 것으로 분석되었다.

중앙버스전용차로 시행에 따른 통행수단선택 변화에 관한 연구 (Study on Determinant of Mode Choice based on Analysis on Median Exclusive Bus Lane Effects)

  • 최근 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 자동차 수요에 부응할 만한 도로의 건설 등 시설공급능력은 이미 한계점에 이르렀으며, 일반 시민들이 피부로 느끼는 가장 심각한 문제 중 하나로 도로교통 문제가 대두되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 교통체계관리기법(Transportation System Management) 중 대중교통시설의 효율성을 높일 수 있는 방안인 중앙버스전용차로제를 대전광역시의 주요 간선도로인 계룡로(월평3~서대전4, 6.3km) 및 대덕대로(대덕대교4~계룡4, 2.6km)에 적용하여 미시적 시뮬레이션(VISSIM)을 통해 차로제별 효과분석을 실시하였다. 더불어 시뮬레이션 분석결과를 자가용 이용자에게 제시하여 대중교통수단인 버스로의 통행수단선택 전환에 영향을 주는 요인을 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션 분석결과에서는 가로변 버스전용차로제에서 중앙버스전용차로제로 전환하면서 일반차량들이 이용할 수 있는 차로가 감소하게 되어 일반차량의 통행에는 부정적인 영향이 나타났지만 버스의 통행에는 매우 긍정적인 영향이 나타났다. 이항로짓모형의 분석결과에서는 소득이 낮고 통행거리가 짧으며, 목적지의 주차가 용이하지 않을수록, 또한 중앙버스전용차로의 통행 경험이 있을수록 자가용 이용자가 버스로의 통행수단선택 전환에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

지역 간 철도 이용객의 접근통행 패턴 연구 (An Analysis of Access and Egress Mode Choice to Regional Railway Station using Transit Smart Card Data (a case of Seoul station))

  • This study analyzed passenger's access modes that connect to regional railway station and developed a model of access mode choice based on transit smart card data of Seoul station as a case study. The study boundary includes sixteen bus stops around the station. The results show that most passengers access to station have less than two transfers. Of total 15000, eighty percent of passengers use metro and the rest of people take a bus. Interestingly, it is found that almost same proportions of passengers use metro and bus for egress the station. Consequently, metro is found to be most likely used mode compared to bus for both access and egress trips.

주제공원 이용자들의 선택행동 연구 -Constraints-Induced Conjoint Choice Model의 적용- (A Study on the Theme Park Users' Choice behavior -Application of Constraints-Induced Conjoint Choice Model-)

  • The importance of constraints has been one of major issues in recreation for prediction of choice behavior; however, traditional conjoint choice model did not consider the effects of these variables or fail to integrate them into choice model adequately. The purposes of this research are (a) to estimate the effects of constraints in theme park choice behavior by the constraints-induced conjoint choice model, and (b) to test additional explanatory power of the additional constraints in this suggested model against the more parsimonious traditional model. A leading polling agency was employed to select respondents. Both alternative generating and choice set generating fractional factorial design were conducted to meet the necessary and sufficient conditions for calibration of the constraints-induced conjoint choice model. Th alternative-specific model was calibrated. The log-likelihood ratio test revealed that suggested model was accepted in the favor of the traditional model, and the goodness-of-fit($\rho$$^2$) of suggested and traditional model was 0.48427 and 0.47950, respectively. There was no difference between traditional and suggested model in estimates of attribute levels of car and shuttle bus because alternatives were created to estimate the effects of constraints independently from mode related variables. Most parameters values of constraints had the expected sign and magnitude: the results reflected the characteristics of the theme parks, such as abundance of natural attractions and poor accessibility in Everland, location of major fun rides indoor in Lotte World, city park like characteristics of Dream Land, and traffic jams in Seoul. Instead of the multinomial logit model, the nested logit model is recommended for future researches because this model more reasonably reflects the real decision-making process in park choice. Development of new methodology too integrate this hierarchical decision-making into choice model is anticipated.

교통분포, 수단선택 및 교통할당의 결합모형 (A Combined Model of Trip Distribution, Mode Choice and Traffic Assignment)

  • In this paper, we propose a parametric optimization approach to simultaneously determining trip distribution, mode choice, and user-equilibrium assignment. In our model, mode choice decisions are based on a binomial logit model and passenger and cargo demands are divided into appropriate mode according to the user equilibrium minimum travel time. Underlying network consists of road and rail networks combined and mode choice available is auto, bus, truck, passenger rail, and cargo rail. We provide an equivalent convex optimization problem formulation and efficient algorithm for solving this problem. The proposed algorithm was applied to a large scale network examples derived from the National Intermodal Transportation Plan (2000-2019).

Comparative Analysis of Urban Public Transportation Systems with Emphasis on Subway-Feeder Bus System

  • This paper attempts to develop a method which combines a subway system with a feeder bus system in order to increase the efficiency of the performance of the subway system. The 'feasible region' where a subway system is more desirable than a conventional bus in its travel time far the CBD-bound trip is determined and the service-specification models of the two systems in this region have been formulated and analyzed in an aggregate manner. The model developed in this study is applied to the Subway Line No. 1 in Seoul. The result obtained in the analysis indicates that the combined system can be guaranteed as a desirable mode in the point of travel time and cost within the feasible region. The concept of the model will lead to a proper assessment of the system's potentials for the choice of an optimal combination of the existing transport technologies.

다차원척도법에 의한 서울주민의 교통수단선호 분석 (Multidimensional Scaling of User Preferences for the Transportation Modes in Seoul.)

  • This study examined user preferences toward transportation modes in Seoul. Two multidimensional scaling models, the ideal point and vector models, were applied to data on mode preferences of 114 adults in the metropolitan area. While both models produced fairly similar results, the vector model performed slightly better than the other in terms of interpretability of the results. The transport attributes elicited are comfort, flexibility, travel cost, travel time, privacy, and safety; among which comfort is salient most. The comfort variable is a multi-faceted attribute in nature. The variations of attribute preferences are most significant between the gender groups as well as worker/nonworker groups. In particular, male workers, female workers and female nonworkers form three distinctive market segments. An unidimensional scaling of the preference data reveals that subway, auto-driver, and subscription bus modes are preferred most, whereas motorcycle and bicycle least. The other modes of express bus, taxt, auto-passenger, bus and walk rank intermediately. An examination of how preference orders vary among modal groups hints that users align their stated attitudes to their choice in order to reduce cognitive dissonance.
