주광이용 조광제어시스템의 적용성 향상을 위한 조명 에너지 절감량 예측 프로세스 개발 및 적용사례 (The Process and Example on the Prediction of Lighting Energy Savings for Daylight Responsive Dimming Systems Application)

  • 광센서 조광제어시스템은 유용한 주광의 실내유입을 통하여 인공조명의 에너지를 절감하는 시스템이나, 쉐이팅시스템에 의한 주광유입의 차단으로 인하여 그 적용성은 미비하다. 따라서 광센서 조광제어시스템의 적용성 및 에너지 절감량 향상을 위해서는 자동롤러쉐이딩 시스템과의 통합은 필수적이다. 본 연구는 두 시스템을 통합한 주광이용 조광제어시스템의 적용성 향상을 위하여 시스템 적용 시 에너지 절감량을 예측할 수 있는 프로세스를 개발하고 이를 사례에 적용하였다. 개발된 프로세스는 주광이용 조광제어시스템의 초기투자비용 환수 및 시스템 적용을 위한 타당성 분석의 자료로 이용될 것이다.

  • Development of performance assessment model of lighting environment is promoting to improve indoor lighting Quality. Therefore, the extraction of performance assessment items of lighting environment must precede a model development. This paper analyzes the certification standards on the Green Building for the extraction\ of assessment items. The purpose of this paper is the extraction of assessment items as fundamental data for the development of performance assessment model of lighting environment.

  • In this thesis, we designed specific LonWorks nodes for lighting control then implemented the lighting control system through the operating scenarios. Developed lighting controller plays a role of one network node and according to information from other nodes, decides whether it toms on the light or not. In this way the lights can be controlled by using the location information of light in the lighting control node and the grouping information of the lights in the switch node.

HDR이미지를 이용한 공동주택 외부조명의 휘도 분석 (Luminance Analysis of the Apartment Exterior Lighting using HDR Images)

  • The purpose of luminance measurement in lighting design of urban scale is to prevent light trespass and light pollution, caused by over-bright. Specially, the illumination of road, tunnel and sports complex as urban infrastructure is measured by international standard for illuminance and luminance. It has been used the spot luminance meter and the image photometer to define the characteristics of qualitative and quantitative in exterior lighting. This study introduced the concept of HDR Image, procedure of HDR Image creation and analysis. Applications of HDR Image, particularly within the apartment building exterior lighting design analysis, have been demonstrated. The procedure proposed in this study is a affordable method that is useful for the assessment of luminance distribution in the scene with electric light. It also provides a measurement capability with the high resolution luminance data within a large field of view efficiently and quickly, which is not possible to achieve with a luminance meter.

  • 설계초기단계에서 고효율 조명기기의 채택을 원활하게 해주고, 동시에 LLF값을 산정 해줌으로써 건물설계에 적용되는 조명에너지를 절감해주기 위해서는 조명 설계 기법의 개선과 조명 설계 과정의 표준화가 필요하다. 이를 바탕으로 구역공간법(ZCM: Zonal Cavity Method)을 이용한 평균조도 계산용 소프트웨어를 개발하였다.

사무소건물의 용도 및 측정기간에 따른 에너지 소비 특성 (Characteristics of Energy Consumption in an Office Building located in Seoul)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the characteristics and actual state of energy consumption by the analysis of energy consumption data in an office building. This study examines and analyzes daily and monthly energy consumption of an office building located in Seoul, Korea regarding type of load and business classification within a building. The results are as follows. 1) Energy consumption of office building for each type of load show similar consumption patterns, regardless of seasons such as cooling period and heating period. 2) Out of all annual energy consumption, consumption for lighting took about $43\;\%,$ general electric Power about $23\;\%,$ emergency power $25\;\%,$ computer center $5\;\%$ and cooling power $4\;\%,$ showing that the consumption for lighting was highest, and the percentage of energy consumption for cooling power for operation of cooling facilities took the lowest percentage. 3) Annual gas consumption used for heating and hot water supply were $38,\;36\;\%$ for officetel and office respectively, and $26\;\%$ for arcade. 4) Electricity consumptions used for cooling power for each use of building, office and officetel recorded in July and August of cooling seasons. Even though it shows different patterns for each month, energy consumption showed unique pattern throughout the cooling seasons.

냉.난방 및 조명에너지를 통합 고려한 DSSC BIPV창호의 사무소건물 적용 효과 연구 (A Study on the Application Effect of DSSC BIPV Window System in Office Building Considering Cooling.Heating.Lighting Energy)

  • The aim of this study is to evaluate how much would the building energy consumption be saved by applying DSSC BIPV window which is possible to control the transmittance and express the color in the office building. For this, physical characteristics such as transmittance and reflectance, U-factor of DSSC areanalyzed and an annual energy consumption that is connected to dimming control is calculated when DSSC BIPV window is applied by alternate clear window system. As a result, It is possible to reduce the anannual energy consumption as much as4.1% by just change the clear double window system to DSSC BIPV double window system because the major factor to reduce energy consumption in the office that has much cooling load than other building is SHGC. When the thermal insulation properties of DSSC BIPV window with low-e coating and making triple window are improved, energy saving ratio is about 9%. Plus, energy saving ratio of 25~28% in lighting energy consumption is possible when the dimming control system with DSSC BIPV window is adopt.

  • Residential Buildings should provide high-quality, comfortable environments to support the activities of their occupants. The indoor environment of residential buildings, which includes thermal, lighting, acoustic, and indoor air quality, has a significant impact on health and quality of life. The comfortable living environment in residential buildings result from appropriately combining these environmental quality factors, and the performance of building systems must be compatible with the activities of the occupants. The objective of this research is to investigate and analyze the relationship between physical environmental conditions and occupant responses for improving environmental quality (EQ) in apartment buildings with four different building orientations (i.e. E, W, S, N) in two different seasons (i.e. winter and summer). The occupant survey was conducted in actual apartment buildings. The Physical environmental conditions in apartment buildings differed substantially depending on space, outdoor weather conditions and building orientations. Each space within the same apartment building had different environmental conditions. Combinations of unbalanced physical environmental conditions in apartment building decrease occupants' satisfactions and their perceptions of overall residential quality. Occupants' satisfaction and their responses to physical characteristics of their residential environment is related to thermal, lighting, acoustic, and indoor air conditions in their buildings. The result from this research will help designers and researchers to identify problems and develop solutions for improving environmental quality from the occupants' point of view.

Performance Evaluation of Energy Reduction of Light Shelf Applying Punching Plate

  • Various studies on lighting energy savings are conducted, given that lighting energy consumption accounts 23.5% of building energy consumption. Especially, external type light shelf's efficiency is acknowledged; however, its application is limited in Korea, where high rise building ratio is high, due to high wind pressure. This study delves into natural lighting system to cope with wind pressure, and proposes the punching plate-installed light shelf. This study actually draws lighting energy output, according to whether the punching plate is applied through the test-bed, and verifies the effectiveness of the punching plate-installed light shelf. The conclusion is presented below: First) The result of performance evaluation of light shelf with the punching plate in winter solstice showed that the awning area decreased as the opening ratio increased so that the indoor distributed illumination tended to increase, and $-40^{\circ}$ which was advantageous for awning was determined as the proper angle. Second) The light shelf with the punching plate in spring/autumn equinox shows improved lighting according to the angle, and the appropriate angle of light shelf with the punching plate has increased to $15^{\circ}$ and $20^{\circ}$ according to the opening ratio in comparison to $5^{\circ}C$ which is the appropriate angle of light shelf with no punching plate due to the reflection area reduced by the reflecting plate with holes. Third) The result of performance evaluation of light shelf with the punching plate in summer solstice showed that the lighting performance tended to decrease as the opening ratio increased. 4) The light shelf with the punching plate incurs a 50% energy loss in comparison to the light shelf with no punching plate. However, its effectiveness has been proven in the aspects that it can bring a 50% energy saving in comparison to the case with no installation of light shelf and that it can be designed in response to wind pressure on the high floors.

  • Double skin façade is known that several features affected the building energy and daylighting performance. That is why the envelope is able to consist of all architectural materials such as glass, aluminum, wood and insulation for vision of residents and workers in buildings. Its specifications is very diverse according to the building designers and building owners. In recent times, visual environment became a major focus and resulted in the development of cutting edge engineering of diverse glazing systems and shading devices by growing interests of friendly environment. Thus this research has evaluated the fluctuations of interior lighting and atmospheric conditions based on double skin facade systems. Especially in terms of daylighting environment as dependent on solar variations, this research provides quantitative analysis of interior lighting conditions and how it affects the living conditions as well as improve the design of interior spaces.
