견인/제동/타행 성능 해석 프로그램 개발 및 검증 (Development and Verification of the Analysis Program for Traction/Braking/Coasting Performance)

  • To start or stop the train safely within the limited traveling distance, it is necessary to guarantee the proper traction or braking force. Presently, most trains are run by the electrical power and have adopted a combined electrical and mechanical(friction) braking system. In order to design a good traction or a brake system, it is essential for designers to predict the traction or brake performance. In this paper, the traction/coasting/braking performances analysis program has been developed and verified by comparing the simulation results with on-line test results of the Korean high speed train(HSR-350); Both results match very well. Consequently, the designers can predict the traction/coasting/braking performances of trains by using the proposed program under various operating conditions.

  • Tilting train improves a traveling velocity through giving a tilt the car-body without ride comfort deterioration In curve. Dynamic behavior in deceleration will show quite another feature in constant velocity, In this study, we see through the dynamic behavior due to a variation of braking force in Korean Tilting Train. Hence we compose of 3D dynamic model, as well as we check upon the property in service braking condition and unique braking condition with a fault system. This study has the meaning with reference data of developing Korean Tilting Train test traveling.

In this study, we see through the dynamic behavior due to a variation of tractive force and braking force in Korean Tilting Train. Hence we compose of 3D dynamic model, as well as we check upon the property in service tractive condition and unique tractive condition with a fault motor. Besides we check upon the property in service braking condition and unique braking condition with a fault system. This study has the meaning with reference data of developing Korean Tilting Train test traveling.

  • In general, the braking system of high speed train has an important role for the safety of the train. To stop safely train at its pre-decided position, it is necessary to combine properly the various brakes. The prototype of Korean high speed train (KHST) has been designed, fabricated and tested by the domestic researchers. It has adopted a combined electrical brakes, such as rheostatic brake, regenerative brake and eddy current brake, and mechanical brakes composed of disc brake, wheel disc brake and tread brake. In this paper, the performances and control algorithms of braking system have been reviewed by the experimental method.

  • By using the signal error test, model structure of total antilock braking system consisting of electromagnetic system and hydraulic system is determined as 9th order system. For determining parameters of the ABS, using time discrete model of parametric method, parameters in time discrete model are searched by least square method. By bilinear transform, we have found the model of ABS in s domain. Afterward, experimental output data is compared with simulated output data by MATLAB haying identified parameter. As the result, experimental data is agreed with simulated data very well.

  • The scheme to reduce jerking phenomena in one push-pull type trainset was proposed. To simulate the jerking between coaches, dynamic analysis model was made. This model could analyze longitudinal dynamic behavior between locomotives and coaches caused by spring and damping characteristics of couplers and center pivots; characteristic curves of traction and braking. To validate the analysis results, tests were conducted in the same driving and braking condition. Comparison of longitudinal acceleration between simulation and test results shows a good agreement. To minimize the jerking phenomena, lots of dynamic simulations were conducted with varying driving/braking effort curve. From the results of simulations, an efficient and economic way to reduce jerking phenomena was found to be to reduce slope of tractive effort curve and synchronize braking time between locomotives and coaches. Test results show that this way could reduce the jerking Phenomena. To express jerkins Phenomena quantitatively, maximum peak to peak values of acceleration were used.

활주 직전과 제동 직전 속도의 상관관계 규명에 관한 연구 (Relationships Between Pre-Skidding and Pre-Braking Speed)

  • 이 논문은 타이어-노면간 마찰계수(drag factor)와 노면에 발생된 스키드마크를 통해 제동직전 속도(pre-braking speed) 산정을 정확하게 하기 위한 방법론을 제시하고자 한다. 제동직전 속도(pre-braking speed)와 활주직전 속도(pre-skidding speed)간 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지 판단하기 위해 실차 주행 및 제동실험을 통해 데이터가 수집되었다. 두 대의 차량에 fifth wheel(오륜) 장비, 스피드건, vericom 2000 등 다양한 측정장비를 탑재하여 제동실험이 수행되었으며, 자동차 속도, 제동거리, 활주거리, 감속도 등이 정밀 측정되었다. 실험자료의 분석을 통해 노면 마찰계수값과 활주직전 속도를 산정하고, 이후 활주직전 속도와 제동직전 속도를 비교하여 이들간의 상관관계를 규명하였다. 결과적으로 산정된 마찰계수값은 현재 일반적으로 적용되고 있는 0.8보다 높았으며, 제동직전 속도는 활주직전 속도보다 $5{\sim}10km/h$ 정도 높은 것으로 나타났다. 향후에는 다양한 차종과 노면조건에 대한 후속실험을 통해 더욱 정교한 한국형 분석모형의 개발과 실무적용이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

열차제어시스템을 위한 확률적 제동성능분석 (Probabilistic Braking Performance Analysis for Train Control System)

  • 열차제어시스템에서 열차간 추돌을 방지하기 위한 안전간격은 열차의 비상제동에 따른 제동거리를 기반으로 한다. 제동거리 성능평가는 동역학적 해석과 시운전시험을 통한 확인이 있으나 두 방법 모두 차륜과 레일의 점착계수의 약화 등과 같은 조건을 모두 고려할 수 없기 때문에 열차제어시스템의 설계에 활용하기에는 충분하지 않다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 환경을 고려할 수 있는 몬테카를로 방법을 이용하여 제동성능을 분석하고자 하였다. 제동모델은 비상제동에서 사용하는 공기제동을 기초로 하였으며, 제동압력, 제동효율, 제동 마찰계수, 점착계수, 차량의 질량분포 등을 고려할 수 있도록 모델링하였다. 영향 인자 분포의 변화에 따른 제동성능의 변화를 검토하고 이를 바탕으로 제동장치의 품질 제어를 통해 제동성능은 개선될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 열차를 구성하는 차량 편성에 따라 제동성능의 변화를 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 열차제어시스템의 안전간격 설계의 기초자료로 활용될 뿐 아니라 철도차량의 제동성능 향상의 근거자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

철도차량용 제동디스크의 온도 변화 측정 및 물성치 변화에 관한 연구(I) (A study on the Mechanical Properties of the Braking Disk due to the Temperature Change(I))

  • This study investigates the change of the temperature and mechanical properties of the braking disk for the railway vehicle. The average temperature is measured about $100^{\circ}C$ and the maximum temperature is measured over $200^{\circ}C$ by non-contact sensor from Seoul to Chun-an. As a result of measuring, we determine the temperature of test(tensile and J-integral) at $20^{\circ}C,\;100^{\circ}C,\;200^{\circ}C$ and $300^{\circ}C$. In the test, the material values are decreased by the increasing of the temperature. But ratio of decreasing is the largest at $200^{\circ}C$, the tensile test value is decreased about $10\%$ and the J-integral test value is decreased $30\%$. The mechanical properties of this material are mostly changed at $200^{\circ}C$.

고속 전철용 소결 마찰재료 개발 (Development of Sintered Friction Material for High Speed Train)

  • The Friction Brake Pad of High Speed Train is the most important parts in brake system, which is usually made of Cu-based Sintered friction material. This study has been carried out about the formulation effects of sintered friction material and made lots of sample brake pads. Then, we have done the performance test of the developed product by using full scale inertia Dynamo-meter. This performance test (braking speed 300km/h) was conducted as GEC Alsthom Standard test procedure and High Speed Brake Test (braking speed 350km/h) was done at "Poli" in Italy. The friction properties of this product was almost identical with the brake pad which is currently used to TGV. And the temperature of brake disk on braking speed 350Km/h was a little higher.
