The prenatal development of thoracic spinal cord was studied by electron microscope in human embryos and fetuses ranging from 9mm to 260mm crown-rump length (5-30 weeks of gestational age). Ependymal cells in all fetal ages had conspicuous junctional complexes close to the lumen of the central canal into which microvilli and cilia projected. The ependymal cells contained numerous longitudinally arranged mitochondria, flattened cisternae of endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi complex. At 20 mm embryo, the floor and roof plates were composed of ependymoglial cells and undifferentiated neuroepithelial cells. The neuroepithelia of the sacral spinal cord were delineated from central medullary cord. By 100 mm fetus few undifferentiated neuroepithelial cells remained in the floor and roof plates. At 150 mm fetus, the whole central canal was formed by ciliated columnar epithelial cells containing cilia with basal bodies. The microvilli became tangled and club-shaped and formed a matted surface. The canal was filled with areas of dark and pale amorphous materials bounded by membrane-like structure. These two types of material were found throughout the whole central canal from 100 mm fetus onwards. By 260 mm fetus, microfibrils were first observed in the ependymal cells. In conclusion, it seems that early development and differentiation of central canal ependyma are simlar to that in other part of the brain ventricular system although ependymoglial cells are more prominent.
In this paper, a novel traffic flow control method based-on ramp metering and speed regulation using an adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) method along with a deadzoned parameter adaptation law is proposed at a stochastic macroscopic level traffic environment, where the influence of the density and speed disturbances is accounted for in the traffic dynamic equations. The goal of this paper is to design a local traffic flow controller using both ramp metering and speed regulation based on ASMC, in order to achieve the desired density and speed for the maintenance of the maximum mainline throughput against disturbances in practice. The proposed method is advantageous in that it can improve the traffic flow performance compared to the traditional methods using only ramp metering, even in the presence of ramp storage limitation and disturbances. Moreover, a prior knowledge of disturbance magnitude is not required in the process of designing the controller unlike the conventional sliding mode controller. A stability analysis is presented to show that the traffic system under the proposed traffic flow control method is guaranteed to be uniformly bounded and its ultimate bound can be adjusted to be sufficiently small in terms of deadzone. The validity of the proposed method is demonstrated under different traffic situations (i.e., different initial traffic status), in the sense that the proposed control method is capable of stabilizing traffic flow better than the previously well-known Asservissement Lineaire d'Entree Autoroutiere (ALINEA) strategy and also feedback linearization control (FLC) method.

This study intend to find the application methods of the FRBR model about legislation by analyzing a law life cycle from the enactment to the amendment and abolition of legislation and the type of the change after abolition. The legislation is the work as an aggregate entity consisting legal provisions and each provision is also the work. They are in the Whole-to-Part relation. The legislation has a effect by being published in the official gazette, and the updated text or the translated text is not the official version. Even if the name of the legislation is changed, it is treated as the same entity when it is not abolished and the simple rectifying text expressed in the official gazette is also legally valid. The Libraries Act has been replaced by the Libraries Act(old version), the Libraries Promotion Act, the Libraries and Reading Promotion Act and the Libraries Act(new version) in the order named, and it can be bounded into a superwork. For these examples, we provided the application method of FRBR model and suggested the actual application cases regarding Work, Expression, Manifestation and Item which are in Group 1 of FRBR model for the Libraries Act.
High-resolution (Chirp and Sparker system) seismic profiles were analyzed to investigate the sedimentary sequence and distribution pattern of the late Holocene deposits in Gyunggi Bay, the Yellow Sea. The bay is located in the western part of Korea, east of the Yellow Sea. The sedimentary sequence divided into three units bounded by erosional bounding surface: (1) acoustically parallel to subparallel reflectors with cross bedding structures (Unit 1); (2) confused inner reflectors and top of unit exposed partially at the seafloor (Unit 2); and (3) approximately parallel reflections and regressive to transgressive incision-fills (Unit 3). On the basis of seafloor morphology, surface bedforms, and subbotom acoustic characters, echo types in the study area were identified following the schemes of Chough et al. (2002); (1) flat seafloor with sharp bottom echoes (echo types 1-1, 1-2 and 1-3; transgressive sediment sheets or relict sands), (2) mounded seafloor with either smooth surface or superposed bedforms (echo types 2-1 and 2-2; tidal ridges), and (3) various-scale eroded seafloor (echo types 3-1 and 3-2; channels). Suspect features of acoustic turbid zones which is related to gas charged sediment are reported.
Consistent and realistic error covariance information is important for position estimation, error analysis, fault detection, and integer ambiguity resolution for differential GNSS. In designing a position domain carrier-smoothed-code filter where incremental carrier phases are used for time-propagation, formulation of consistent error covariance information is not easy due to being bounded and temporal correlation of propagation noises. To provide consistent and correct error covariance information, this paper proposes two recursive filter algorithms based on carrier-smoothed-code techniques: (a) the stepwise optimal position projection filter and (b) the stepwise unbiased position projection filter. A Monte-Carlo simulation result shows that the proposed filter algorithms actually generate consistent error covariance information and the neglection of carrier phase noise induces optimistic error covariance information. It is also shown that the stepwise unbiased position projection filter is attractive since its performance is good and its computational burden is moderate.
Phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C(PI-PLC) is a second messenger of signal transducer on cell membrane. In the previous study, PLC of bovine brain has been purified three isozymes. In this paper, uterus and seminal vesicle have been purified. Two peaks of PI-PLC activity were resolved when bovine uterus and seminal vesicle proteins were chromatographed on a DEAE and phenyl TSK 5PW HPLC column. Each two peak was compared with PI-PLC I, IT and ill from bovine brain and we got the retension time on HPLC. The peak fractions with PLC activity were tested homogeneity with brain PLC monoclonal antibodies(Mab). Mab-labeled affigels were bounded in the range of 73.8%~97.5% with PLC I, IT and III. Homogeneity of fractions were revealed that DEAE F-1 and phenyl F-1-I were highest level of PLC III in uterus and seminal vesicle and DEAE F-2 and phenyl F-2-I were mixed PLC I and II.

A network model and a Genetic Algorithm(GA) is proposed to solve the simultaneous estimation of the trip distribution and traffic assignment from traffic counts in the congested networks in a logit-based Stochastic User Equilibrium (SUE). The model is formulated as a problem of minimizing the non-linear objective functions with the linear constraints. In the model, the flow-conservation constraints of the network are utilized to restrict the solution space and to force the link flows meet the traffic counts. The objective of the model is to minimize the discrepancies between the link flows satisfying the constraints of flow-conservation, trip production from origin, trip attraction to destination and traffic counts at observed links and the link flows estimated through the traffic assignment using the path flow estimator in the legit-based SUE. In the proposed GA, a chromosome is defined as a vector representing a set of Origin-Destination Matrix (ODM), link flows and travel-cost coefficient. Each chromosome is evaluated from the corresponding discrepancy, and the population of the chromosome is evolved by the concurrent simplex crossover and random mutation. To maintain the feasibility of solutions, a bounded vector shipment is applied during the crossover and mutation.

The study aims to prove the raison d'etre of public libraries in urban regeneration paradigm. Life SOC Plan is one of South Korea's urban regeneration policies. Public libraries are considered important in life SOC Plan because public libraries are "Social Anchors". Social Anchor is space-time-bounded place that accelerates diverse people's interactions. Social Anchor makes collective identity that supports production of social capital. Public libraries are institutions producing social capital but have weak collective identity because their missions(open, sharing, equality of information) don't allow boundaries and membership. The study conducted literature reviews and case studies to confirm how collective identity of public libraries strengthens. As a result, the study confirmed that renovating under-used space based on urban regeneration paradigm makes place identity of the under-used space to collective identity of public libraries. Thus, constructing public libraries by renovating under-used space is Social Anchor formation model based on urban regeneration paradigm.
For $b{\in}L^1_{loc}({\mathbb{R}}^n)$, let ${\mathcal{I}}_{\alpha}$ be the bilinear fractional integral operator, and $[b,{\mathcal{I}}_{\alpha}]_i$ be the commutator of ${\mathcal{I}}_{\alpha}$ with pointwise multiplication b (i = 1, 2). This paper shows that if the commutator $[b,{\mathcal{I}}_{\alpha}]_i$ for i = 1 or 2 is bounded from the product Morrey spaces $L^{p_1,{\lambda}_1}({\mathbb{R}}^n){\times}L^{p_2,{\lambda}_2}({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ to the Morrey space $L^{q,{\lambda}}({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ for some suitable indexes ${\lambda}$, ${\lambda}_1$, ${\lambda}_2$ and $p_1$, $p_2$, q, then $b{\in}BMO({\mathbb{R}}^n)$, as well as that the compactness of $[b,{\mathcal{I}}_{\alpha}]_i$ for i = 1 or 2 from $L^{p_1,{\lambda}_1}({\mathbb{R}}^n){\times}L^{p_2,{\lambda}_2}({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ to $L^{q,{\lambda}}({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ implies that $b{\in}CMO({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ (the closure in $BMO({\mathbb{R}}^n)$of the space of $C^{\infty}({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ functions with compact support). These results together with some previous ones give a new characterization of $BMO({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ functions or $CMO({\mathbb{R}}^n)$ functions in essential ways.
Given a set S of n points in the plane, a minimum-diameter spanning tree(MDST) for the set might have a degree up to n-1. This might cause the degradation of the network performance because the node with high degree should handle much more requests than others relatively. Thus it is important to construct a spanning tree network with small degree and diameter. This paper presents an algorithm to construct a spanning tree for S satisfying the following four conditions: (1) the degree is controled as an input, (2) the tree diameter is no more than constant times the diameter of MDST, (3) the tree is monotone (even if arbitrary point is fixed as a root of the tree) in the sense that the Euclidean distance from the root to any node on the path to any leaf node is not decreasing, and (4) there are no crossings between edges of the tree. The monotone property will play a role as an aesthetic criterion in visualizing the tree in the plane.
