We studied the time-dependent behaviors of rock and concrete materials by conducting the static and dynamic long-term strength tests. In particular, acoustic emission(AE) signals generated while the tests were analyzed and used for the long-term stability evaluation. In the static subcritical crack growth test, the long-term behavior and AE characteristics of Mode I and Mode II were investigated. In the dynamic long-term strength test, the fatigue limit and characteristics of generation of AE were analyzed through cyclic four points bending test. The graph of the cumulative AE hits versus time showed a shape similar to that of the creep curve with the first, second and third stages. The possibility for evaluating the static and dynamic long-term stability of rock and concrete is presented from the log - log relationship between the slope of the secondary stage of cumulative AE hits curve and the delayed failure time.

For efficient use and expansion of domestic small- and medium-diameter woods, cross-laminated wood panels composed of tropical hardwoods and domestic temperate woods were fabricated, and the bending creep behavior under long-term loading was investigated. The bending creep curve of the cross-laminated wood panels showed an exponential function graph with a sharp increase at the top right side. The wood panel composed of a teak top layer and larch core and bottom layers recorded the highest initial deformation, and that composed of a merbau top layer and tulip core and bottom layers showed the lowest initial deformation. Creep deformation of the cross-laminated wood panels showed the highest value in that composed of a teak top layer and larch core and bottom layers and showed the lowest value in that composed of a merbau top layer and tulip core and bottom layers. The obtained creep deformation is 3.1-4.3 times that of merbau, however, it is remarkably lower than that of tulip and larch. The highest relative creep was recorded by the wood panel composed of merbau top layer and larch core and bottom layers, whereas that composed of the teak top layer and tulip core and bottom layers showed the lowest relative creep.
A lead-free bulk ceramic having a chemical formula $Ba_{0.8}Ca_{0.2}(Ti_{0.8}Zr_{0.1}Ce_{0.1})O_3$ (further termed as BCTZCO) is synthesized using mixed oxide route. The structural, dielectric, impedance, and conductivity properties, as well as the modulus of the synthesized sample are discussed in the present work. Analysis of X-ray diffraction data obtained at room temperature reveals the existence of some impurity phases. The natural surface morphology shows close packing of grains with few voids. Attempts have been made to study the (a) effect of microstructures containing grains, grain boundaries, and electrodes on impedance and capacitive characteristics, (b) relationship between properties and crystal structure, and (c) nature of the relaxation mechanism of the prepared samples. The relationship between the structure and physical properties is established. The frequency and temperature dependence of the dielectric properties reveal that this complex system has a high dielectric constant and low tangent loss. An analysis of impedance and related parameters illuminates the contributions of grains. The activation energy is determined for only the high temperature region in the temperature dependent AC conductivity graph. Deviation from the Debye behavior is seen in the Nyquist plot at different temperatures. The relaxation mechanism and the electrical transport properties in the sample are investigated with the help of various spectroscopic (i.e., dielectric, modulus, and impedance) techniques. This lead free sample will serve as a base for device engineering.
The purpose of this study was to analyze self-regulation about changing heart rate and perceived arousal variation when actors start their performance. Object of this study were 5 actors who belong to the theater selected using the purposive sampling method. This study used a measuring instrument of heart rate to measure arousal status, used behavior observation paper to observe and record self-regulation behavior and executed personal consultation after ending performance. There was graph mad by variation transition which calculated average and standard deviation about variation of heart rate each time of performance. The results of this study were as follows. First, there were high variation of awake level that actor's heart rates were rising before starting performance and the most high level of arousal was from 20minutes to 5minutes before starting performance. Second, there were self-regulation behaviors appeared such as deep breathing, breath controling, self talking, talking with other actors, concentrating an script, going to toilet, smoking, checking closes before starting performance. Third, when performance start, actors used psychological self-regulational method such as relaxation, self concentration, confidence reinforcement, coping with state or accommodation for controling raised arousal status.

The purpose of this study is to propose mining processes in the large trip-transaction database of the Metropolitan Seoul area and to analyze the spatial characteristics of travel behavior. For the purpose. this study introduces a mining algorithm developed for exploring trip patterns from the large trip-transaction database produced every day by transit users in the Metropolitan Seoul area. The algorithm computes trip chains of transit users by using the bus routes and a graph of the subway stops in the Seoul subway network. We explore the transfer frequency of the transit users in their trip chains in a day transaction database of three different years. We find the number of transit users who transfer to other bus or subway is increasing yearly. From the trip chains of the large trip-transaction database, trip patterns are mined to analyze how transit users travel in the public transportation system. The mining algorithm is a kind of level-wise approaches to find frequent trip patterns. The resulting frequent patterns are illustrated to show top-ranked subway stations and bus stops in their supports. From the outputs, we explore the travel patterns of three different time zones in a day. We obtain sufficient differences in the spatial structures in the travel patterns of origin and destination depending on time zones. In order to examine the changes in the travel patterns along time, we apply the algorithm to one day data per year since 2004. The results are visualized by utilizing GIS, and then the spatial characteristics of travel patterns are analyzed. The spatial distribution of trip origins and destinations shows the sharp distinction among time zones.

Recently, ultra high performance fiber reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) having over 180 MPa compressive strength and 10 MPa tensile strength has been developed in Korea. However, UHPFRC represents different material properties with normal concrete (NC) and conventional high performance concrete (HPC) such as a high early age autogenous shrinkage and a rapid dry on the surface, because it has a low water-binder ratio and high fineness admixtures without coarse aggregate. In this study, therefore, to propose suitable experimental methods and regulations, and to evaluate mechanical properties at a very early age for UHPFRC, setting, shrinkage and tensile tests were performed. From the setting test results, paraffin oil was an appropriate material to prevent drying effect on the surface, because if paraffin oil is applied on the surface, it can efficiently prevent the drying effect and does not disturb or catalyze the hydration of cement. From the ring-test results, it was defined that the shrinkage stress is generated at the time when the graph tendency of temperature and strain of inner steel ring is changed. By comparing with setting test result, the shrinkage stress was firstly occurred as the penetration resistance of 1.5 MPa was obtained, and it was about 0.6 and 2.1 hour faster than those of initial and final sets. So, the starting time of autogenous shrinkage measurement (time-zero) of UHPFRC was determined when the penetration resistance of 1.5 MPa was obtained. Finally, the tensile strength and elastic modulus of UHPFRC were measured from near initial setting time by using a very early age tensile test apparatus, and the prediction models for tensile strength and elastic modulus were proposed.
Electronic commerce, commonly known as e-commerce or eCommerce, has become a major business trend in these days. The amount of trade conducted electronically has grown extraordinarily by developing the Internet technology. Most electronic commerce has being conducted between businesses to customers; therefore, the researches with respect to e-commerce are to find customer's needs, behaviors through statistical methods. However, the statistical researches, mostly based on a questionnaire, are the static researches, They can tell us the dynamic relationships between initial purchasing and repurchasing. Therefore, this study proposes dynamic research model for analyzing the cause of initial purchasing and repurchasing. This paper is based on the System-Dynamic theory, using the powerful simulation model with some restriction, The restrictions are based on the theory TAM(Technology Acceptance Model), PAM, and TPB(Theory of Planned Behavior). This article investigates not only the customer's purchasing and repurchasing behavior by passing of time but also the interactive effects to one another. This research model has six scenarios and three steps for analyzing customer behaviors. The first step is the research of purchasing situations. The second step is the research of repurchasing situations. Finally, the third step is to study the relationship between initial purchasing and repurchasing. The purpose of six scenarios is to find the customer's purchasing patterns according to the environmental changes. We set six variables in these scenarios by (1) changing the number of products; (2) changing the number of contents in on-line shopping malls; (3) having multimedia files or not in the shopping mall web sites; (4) grading on-line communities; (5) changing the qualities of products; (6) changing the customer's degree of confidence on products. First three variables are applied to study customer's purchasing behavior, and the other variables are applied to repurchasing behavior study. Through the simulation study, this paper presents some inter-relational result about customer purchasing behaviors, For example, Active community actions are not the increasing factor of purchasing but the increasing factor of word of mouth effect, Additionally. The higher products' quality, the more word of mouth effects increase. The number of products and contents on the web sites have same influence on people's buying behaviors. All simulation methods in this paper is not only display the result of each scenario but also find how to affect each other. Hence, electronic commerce firm can make more realistic marketing strategy about consumer behavior through this dynamic simulation research. Moreover, dynamic analysis method can predict the results which help the decision of marketing strategy by using the time-line graph. Consequently, this dynamic simulation analysis could be a useful research model to make firm's competitive advantage. However, this simulation model needs more further study. With respect to reality, this simulation model has some limitations. There are some missing factors which affect customer's buying behaviors in this model. The first missing factor is the customer's degree of recognition of brands. The second factor is the degree of customer satisfaction. The third factor is the power of word of mouth in the specific region. Generally, word of mouth affects significantly on a region's culture, even people's buying behaviors. The last missing factor is the user interface environment in the internet or other on-line shopping tools. In order to get more realistic result, these factors might be essential matters to make better research in the future studies.

Feeding behaviors of the pear psylla, Cacopsylla pyricola, and their changing feeding behaviors were recorded and analyzed with an electrical penetration graph (EPG) analysis against 5 insecticides. And their mortality against insecticides were carried out in the laboratory. General feeding behavior patterns of C. pyricola were changed by insecticide treatments. Especially, the type and frequency of waveforms differently occurred depending on a sort of insecticides treated. Total duration of transition to waveform PE1 and phloem ingestion (waveform PE2) were significantly different between treatment and non-treatment of insecticides. When 5 different insecticides were treated on pear leaves, difference of feeding patterns were recorded. In case of treatment of benfuracarb, total duration of non-probes (waveform Np) was appeared higher than any other insecticide. However, when flonicamid and deltamethrin were treatment, total duration of stylet penetration (waveform PA) and xylem ingestion (waveform PG) were appeared higher than other insecticide, respectively. As results feeding behaviour of C. pyricola after treated insecticides with time-based consumed rate of C. pyricola, the rate of non-probe (waveform Np) was longer than start penetration (waveform PA), penetration and ingestion in parenchyma cells (waveform PC1+PC2), ingestion at phloem (waveform PD+PE1+PE2) and xylem (waveform PG). As result of direct spray treatment to C. pyricola, mortality of C. pyricola against imidacloprid was higher than any other insecticide on 24 hours after treatment. However, all of insecticides showed 100% mortality of after 48 hours. On the other hand, when 5 insecticides sprayed on the pear leaves and then C. pyricola located on the treated leaves, benfuracarb showed the most toxicity against C. pyricola among insecticides. These result was consistent with the EPG results that showed relatively longer total duration time of waveform Np (non-probes) by benfuracarb treatment.
Prior to making choices among online products and services, consumers often search online product reviews written by other consumers. Online product reviews have great influences on consumer behavior because they are believed to be more reliable than information provided by sellers. However, ever-increasing lists of product reviews make it difficult for consumers to find the right information efficiently. A customized search mechanism is a method to provide personalized information which fits the user's requirements. This study examines effects of a customized search mechanism and perceived similarity between consumers and product reviewers on consumer behaviors. More specifically, we address the following research questions: (1) Can a customized search mechanism increase perceived similarity between product review authors and readers? (2) Are product reviews perceived as more credible when product reviews were written by the authors perceived similar to them? (3) Does credibility of product reviews have a positive impact on acceptance of product reviews? (4) Does acceptance of product reviews have an influence on purchase intention of the readers? To examine these research questions, a lab experiment with a between-subject factor (whether a customized search mechanism is provided or not) design was employed. In order to enhance mundane realism and increase generalizability of the findings, the experiment sites were built based on a real online store, cherrya.com (http://www.cherrya.com/). Sixty participants were drawn from a pool that consisted of undergraduate and graduate students in a large university. Participation was voluntary; all the participants received 5,000 won to encourage their motivation and involvement in the experiment tasks. In addition, 15 participants, who selected by a random draw, received 30,000 won to actually purchase the product that he or she decided to buy during the experiment. Of the 60 participants, 25 were male and 35 were female. In examining the homogeneity between the two groups, the results of t-tests revealed no significant difference in gender, age, academic years, online shopping experience, and Internet usage. To test our research model, we completed tests of the measurement models and the structural models using PLS Graph version 3.00. The analysis confirmed individual item reliability, internal consistency, and discriminant validity of measurements. The results show that participants feel more credible when product reviews were written by the authors perceived similar to them, credibility of product reviews have a positive impact on acceptance of product reviews, and acceptance of product reviews have an influence on purchase intention of the readers. However, a customized search mechanism did not increase perceived similarity between product review authors and readers. The results imply that there is an urgent need to develop a better customized search tool in order to increase perceived similarity between product review authors and readers.

This study examined the size and shape of the nano-silver particle through the analysis of electrical resistance when synthesizing nano-sized silver by using the chemical liquid reduction. Changes in particle behaviors formed according to the changes in electronic characteristics by electric resistance in each time period in the beginning of reduction reaction in a course of synthesizing the nano-silver particle formation were studied. In addition, analysis was conducted on particle behaviors according to the changes in concentration of $AgNO_3$ and in temperature at the time of reduction and nucleation and growth course when synthesizing the particles based on the particle behaviors were also examined. As the concentration of $AgNO_3$ increased, the same amount of resistance of approximately $5{\Omega}$ was increased in terms of initial electronic resistance. Furthermore, according to the result of formation of nuclear growth graph and estimation of slope based on estimated resistance, slops of $6.25{\times}10^{-3}$, $2.89{\times}10^{-3}$, and $1.85{\times}10^{-3}$ were derived from the concentrations of 0.01 M, 0.05 M, and 0.1 M, respectively. As the concentration of $AgNO_3$ increased, the more it was dominantly influenced by the nuclear growth areas in the initial phase of reduction leading to increase the size and cohesion of particles. At the time of reduction of nano-silver particle, the increases of initial resistance were $4{\Omega}$, $4.2{\Omega}$, $5{\Omega}$, and $5.3{\Omega}$, respectively as the temperature increased. As the temperature was increased into $23^{\circ}C$, $40^{\circ}C$, $60^{\circ}C$, and $80^{\circ}C$, slopes were formed as $4.54{\times}10^{-3}$, $4.65{\times}10^{-3}$, $5.13{\times}10^{-3}$, and $5.42{\times}10^{-3}$ respectively. As the temperature increased, the particles became minute due to the increase of nuclear growth area in the particle in initial period of reduction.
