The range of colors was from 2016 to 2020, and the research method was designed after examining makeup trends using Pantone colors from 2016 to 2020; the characteristics of color and trend makeup were analyzed to design art makeup using various techniques. With respect to research data, literature review was conducted on the makeup design using Pantone colors with trend makeups. By referring to data in Pantone's official website, the characteristics and meanings of each color were analyzed. Based on research data, illustrations were made and makeup was designed and suggested. According to the study results, one-color makeup created a stable and uniform mood as a whole and could highlight the characteristics of each color. On the other hand, the makeup design that mixed Pantone colors harmonized the complementary colors and created an original and beautiful makeup design. The researcher identified the relationship and characteristics of trend colors and makeup and suggested various techniques, and expects that by linking the effect of trend color with makeup, designs and visual effects that go beyond the limits of the makeup market will be suggested and expanded.

  • Purpose - This study aims to explore women's beauty industry market and growth development by identifying the main factors of women's perception of skin health care. Research design, data, and methodology - The survey was conducted on women aged 20 to 60 living in Seoul. For the statistical analysis, frequency analysis, t-test and one-way ANOVA were conducted, and significant differences in p<0.05 were tested through the multiple range test of the Scheffe. The factor analysis was conducted to verify the validity of questions, and the reliability was determined by the coefficient of Cronbach's α. Results - The lower the age, the higher the perception of the skin, and women pay a higher price for skin health as a provisional customer. 'Acne care' was the most common skin condition (32.8%), 'life style' (79.8%) was the most important part of skin care. Final education was the highest level of skin care for women with a professional background (M=3.41) (F=4.028, p<.05). Conclusions - The differences in the recognition of health knowledge by age, marital status, and household monthly income were significant, but there was no difference between jobs and final education. Customers who use less skin care than customers who frequently use the skin care center were more aware of skin health, and women who have a high awareness of skin are more interested in aging and regenerating due to the skin care.

  • The shape of the male beard to be examined in this study was set as a mustache. This study used frequency analysis and cross-tab analysis to conduct T-test and one-way variance analysis using 300 final responses from the questionnaire that presented preference and non-preference reasons and demographic characteristics along with preference and non-preference options to measure the likability of whiskers. As a result of the study, there were differences in men's preference and non-preference for each beard formulation, and the level of difference was statistically significant between the male and female groups and the age group. In addition, it was found that each group category showed a difference in the reasons for judging likes/dislikes by beard form. There are differences in preference and non-preference according to men's beard formations, and it was confirmed that there are various differences according to perceptual characteristics in the main reasons for favorability and dislike, which are the basis for judgment. The results of this study were then used to suggest an ideal model of table settings for Korean-style food equipped with simple, sophisticated, and practical characteristics. Specifically, this study evaluated the importance of hygiene (safety, cleanness, arrangement), decoration (dignity, form, stylishness, presentation of food on plates), naturalness (seasonal beauty, comfortableness, natural beauty), and modernity (modern style, chic style, urban style). These factors were evaluated according to the preference of the table setting and the characteristics of the meeting, which fit various meal cultures, times, places, and objectives. The results of this study indicate that people prefer hygiene and decoration for family meetings (bansang setting), hygiene and modernity for friendly meetings (simple buffet setting), hygiene and decoration for company meetings (simple buffet setting), and hygiene and decoration for academic meetings (tea party). Hygiene and decoration were highly evaluated in most cases, which indicates that individuals at meetings for special purposes give weight to the meeting's atmosphere, but also consider the hygiene and cleanliness of the food.

  • The main purpose of this study is to analyze the disputes concerning the 1982 moratorium on commercial whaling and the standing rights of other natural objects. Basically, the debates has arisen from the very nature of whales and other natural resources, that is to say, a mixed good of consumptive and non-use value. The debates between pro- and anti-moratorium states regarding whaling may not find out a peaceful solution without compromise or negotiation since any international institution for official settlements does not exist. If the pro-states could provide anti-states with a certain type of economic incentive which is side payments, anti-states might offer self-restraint not to whale. Here, it would be considered to apply Kaldor-Hicks compensation principles to this problem. Since 1965, some countries such as the United States and Japan began to recognize the standing right of natural objects. Even though rejected, the newt case in Korea was brought to the Supreme Court. If a standard of living increases significantly to a higher level(i.e. more than per capita income US$30,000), there would be a tendency of valuing natural objects and their beauty more and more highly.
