  • A new mathematical model to determine the optimal gas temperatures in reheating furnace was proposed for the good quality of products. This model employs sensitivity method to calculate the optimal gas temperatures in each zone for heating the slab up to its discharging target temperature and for heating it uniformly. This method was validated by showing that the calculated discharging temperature of the slab was in a good agreement with its prescribed discharging target one through an off-line simulation.

  • III족 원료 가스로 triethylgallium(TEGa)과 trimethylindium(TMIn)을 사용하고 V족 원료 가스로 사전 열 분해하지 않은 arsine(AsH3)과 monoethylarsine(MEAs)을 사용하여 ultrahigh vacuum chemical vapor deposition(UHVCVD)법으로 Si3N4로 패턴된 GaAs(100)기판 위에 GaAs와 InGaAsqkr막을 선택적으로 에피택시 성장을 하였다.

  • In this paper the vibrational behavior of a multi-packet blade system having a cracked blade is investigated. Each blade is assumed as a slender cantilever beam. The coupling stiffness effect that originates from either disc flexibility or shroud is considered in the modeling. Hybrid deformation variables are employed to derive the equations of motion. The flexibility due to crack, which is assumed to be open during the vibration, is calculated basing on a fracture mechanics theory. In the paper, the results of the change in modal parameters due to crack appearance are presented. The influence of the crack parameters, especially of the changing location of the crack is examined.

  • PEB system is more economical when compared with structures commonly used Hot rolled and welded light H-beam was introduced in the Standard Livestock Housing. This study suggested more economical technology for structural design by the reduction of live load, relief of deflection limit and reduction of importance factor. And, when applying wind Load as a result of examination with Low Rise Building Systems Manual considering open model, we can know that when the wind load is big, enclosed model is more stable than open model. In short, Suggesting more economical model and providing the method to reduce natural disaster, by the application of PEB system and the development of technology for structural design, are considered to strengthen the competitive power of farmhouse.

And against the array structure which has the radiation pattern which is identical with the receive area it researched. The arranged the element space flees grating lobe and in order to set the characteristic of optimum with half-wave equally space it selects. After inducing the array factor of each array structure, it calculated a radiation pattern. As a result of, the radiation pattern of the each Planar array antenna with structure of the receive area was similar and the possibility of getting an beam characteristic it was.

  • We have demonstrated a highly efficient cladding-pumped ytterbium-doped fiber laser, generating $>$2.1 kW of continuous-wave output power at 1.1 μm with 74% slope efficiency with respect to launched pump power. The beam quality factor ($M^2$) was better than 1.2. The maximum output power was only limited by available pump power, showing no evidence of roll-over even at the highest output power. We present data on how the beam quality depends on the fiber parameter, based on our current and past fiber laser developments. We also discuss the ultimate power-capability of our fiber in terms of thermal management, Raman nonlinear scattering, and material damage, and estimate it to 10 kW.

  • The band-gap opening in graphene is a key factor in developing graphene-based field effect transistors. Although graphene is a gapless semimetal, a band-gap opens when graphene is formed into a graphene nanoribbon (GNR). Moreover, the band-gap energy can be manipulated by the width of the GNR. In this study, we propose a site-specific synthesis of a width-tailored GNR directly onto an insulating substrate. Predeposition of a diamond-like carbon nanotemplate onto a SiO2/Si wafer via focused ion beam-assisted chemical vapor deposition is first utilized for growth of the GNR. These results may present a feasible route for growing a width-tailored GNR onto a specific region of an insulating substrate.

  • An experimental investigation of lightweight aggregate and foamed concrete contribution to the ultimate strength capacity of square and rectangular steel tube sections is presented in this study. Thirty-four simply supported beam specimens, 1000-mm long, filled with lightweight aggregate and foamed concretes were tested in pure flexural bending to calculate the ultimate moment capacity. Normal concrete-filled steel tubular and bare steel sections of identical dimensions were also tested and compared to the filled steel sections. Theoretical values of ultimate moment capacity of the beam specimens were also calculated in this study for comparison purposes. The test results showed that lightweight aggregate and foamed concrete significantly enhance the load carrying capacity of steel tubular sections. Furthermore, it can be concluded from this study that lightweight aggregate and foamed concretes can be used in composite construction to increase the flexural capacity of the steel tubular sections.

  • Gel dosimeters have unique advantages in comparison with other dosimeters. Until now, these gels have been used in different radiotherapy techniques as a reliable dosimetric tool. Because dose distribution measurement is an important factor for appropriate treatment planning in different radiotherapy techniques, in this study, we evaluated the ability of the N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAM) polymer gel to record the dose distribution resulting from the mixed neutron-gamma field of boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). In this regard, a head phantom containing NIPAM gel was irradiated using the Tehran Research Reactor BNCT beam line, and then by a magnetic resonance scanner. Eventually, the $R_2$ maps were obtained in different slices of the phantom by analyzing T2-weighted images. The results show that NIPAM gel has a suitable potential for recording three-dimensional dose distribution in mixed neutron-gamma field dosimetry.

  • In this paper, a springboard for diving is analysed to find out how much force a diver should apply to reach specific height when the diver jumps. The springboard is presumed to Co-rotational plane cantilever beam(CR-beam), so EDISON program related to Co-rotational framework is used. The force of the person is supposed to sine function and the demanded height is fixed. Same velocity makes same height regardless of diver's weight. So, the velocity of springboard when the feet of a diver are separated from the springboard is a main factor of the analysis. The result shows that there is no association between deformation and weight and also between velocity and weight. That is, the required force to reach a optimal height is fixed whatever the diver's weight is.
