This paper centers on the erstwhile novelist Kim Seung-ok with a focus not only on his watershed works of the 1960s, but also on his lesser-known works of the 1970s as well as on the circumstances and possible reasons for his decision to quit writing in the 1980s. His works from the 60s address certain basic human contradictions and are in this respect timeless, and these same works are also firmly grounded in their larger socio-cultural contexts of 1960s Korea. This article attempts to place the word firmly here sous rature. In new critical terms, the Kim's settings can not be understood as anything but Korea, in the then and now. This characteristic is shared, however, with highly ideological literature that at times seems to want to beat the reader over the head with the problems and author-sponsored solutions of then and now. In order to understand Kim's paradoxical position in Korean literary history, one must view his works from within the context of the debate between pure and engagement literature.

Steel and iron manufacture works exist that many latency risk as melting liquid of high temperature, work of high place, and so on. Once in a while, the accident case make use of basic data for latency risk analysis in a place of business. In this paper, we investigated the cause of the accident in steel an iron works. The result, we came across that many latency risk in steel and iron manufacture works. The main type of risk are fall, narrow, come flying, etc. Most of the latency risk type are repetition and conventional accident. Accordingly, steel and manufacture works must prevent to repetition and conventional accident.

These days the copyright plays a significant role in various fields of creative works and it has expanded dramatically into unprecedented ways. In Korea, architectural works copyright cases are rare due to the lack of information and understanding of the architectural works copyright. Architectural works copyright can promote architects' creative activities and enhance the quality of architectural works as art. Nevertheless, there is little effort to advance the studies of architectural works copyright in the architectural design area. Under these circumstances, this research attempts to share the basic case laws and remedies for various architectural works copyright issues in the U.S. cases. This Article examines the Thomas Shine v. David M. Childs and Skidmore Owings & Merrill, LLP Case which is the most recent case as I could reach. This case is about a story between two architects, one is from a very prestigious architectural design firm and the other, once Yale Architectural student, now practices his design work as an up-and-coming architect. A close examination of this case will provide a legal and architectural spectrum of copyright. That is, it will make it more specific how to solve the copyright infringement. Artistic and technological contexts are overlapped in Architectural works copyright as its inherent characteristics. Therefore, different ways from other copyrighted works are needed to access the untangled equations of the architectural works copyright protection. In addition, more comprehensible and specific regulations that can impose a remedy more suited to the architectural works copyright violations are needed and they should enable architects to fulfill their architectural activities under wide range of copyright protection. Moreover, in prior to all efforts to handle those equations, fundamental knowledge of architectural works copyright is required to improve the copyright protection in the architectural design area as well as to provide for the globalizing design practice. Ultimately, all of these efforts will be rewarded when constant researches based on Korean and other countries' architectural copyright cases can support them and it would be great if this research can set the stage for resolving expected copyright conflicts within the architectural design area.

Requirements for device networks differ greatly from those of data(business) networks. Consequently, any control network technology which uses a fieldbus protocol is, in general, different from IP network protocol TCP/IP. One needs to integrate fieldbus protocol and TCP/IP to realize distributed control over IP network or internet. This paper suggests a basic concept that can be applied to distributed control over IP network or internet. Specifically, LonWorks technology that uses LonTalk protocol is reviewed as device network. LonWorks technology provides networked intelligent I/O and controllers which make it a powerful, expandable solution. It is also addressed that many hardwired PLCs can be replaced by LonWorks devices. Connecting these remote LonWorks networks to the Internet can provide a powerful, integrated, distributed control system.

Use of herbicides in Korean agriculture has increased rapidly in recent years accompanying with ever-increasing pressure of farm labor shortage. Herbicides occupied already the second place in the rank of pesticides consumption in 1977. The agricultural experiment stations have carried out over 50 trials of chemical weed control each year since 1968. These research works and registration trials contributed much to the present wide use of herbicides. The pesticide management act amended in 1977 requires reevaluation of pesticides for their efficacy every 5 year-term. However, the development of sound weed control program and recommendations has been hempered very much by the lack of qualified workers of weed control research in agricultural experiment stations and in the institute for pesticide registration trial. Critical review of the past research works on herbicide evaluation and the present status indicates strong need for 1) the characterization of the nature of local and national weed problem, 2) the improvement of ability of the staffs in charge of weed control research through appropriate training on the basics and experimental techniques, and 3) organization and activities of weed control research committee. Furthermore, the present article attempts to clarify commonly misled points in the establishment of herbicide evaluation plan, in the design and execution of field trials, and in the assessment of trial results of the past works from the viewpoint of the basic principles with some case studies for resolution of specific enigmas.

Cases of lawsuit and conflict are increasing because of defects in apartments in use after the completion of construction. Further, with changes in the consciousness of residents and in the social environment, many residents are showing interest in defect-related lawsuits. However, the term of warranty liability defined in the current law is not practically appropriate, and the verification of the determination of the term of warranty liability is insufficient. Against this background, this research aims to evaluate the appropriateness of defect repair periods by examining the actual defect condition of the finishing work among the various defects related to apartments. Collected performance data are analyzed by statistical techniques by considering the defect occurrence rate per construction type and the construction year of the finishing work in apartment construction. The analysis results will be used as basic data for evaluating the appropriateness of the standards for the term finishing works warranty liability.

This research analyzed the importance and influence of color expression on psychological and emotional changes of visual perception in the creation of art works. This research takes the element of the sky in the works of Vincent William Van Gogh, a Dutch post-Impressionist representative painter, as the basic research objective to prove the influence of color expression of the same thing on the inner emotional communication of the creator. After synthesizing the contents of previous research and investigation on Van Gogh, this research will summarize the works containing sky elements in Van Gogh's works according to his four creative stages, and select representative works for color analysis and comparison. In this paper, by comparing the colors of the same elements of the sky, we can find Van Gogh's guidance of psychological and emotional changes through the expression of colors in his works, which will play a certain inspiring role in the creation of painting art.

Daily workers in construction sites rarely receive the benefit of systematic safety and health training as they are required to move from one construction site to another in response to the start, completion, and repetition of construction works. Also, small- to medium-sized construction sites often lack the capacity to train their workers. Therefore, as in the advanced countries, basic safety training system for construction workers should be conducted in the industrial-level, rather than in individual workplace-level, to make the training more effective. By doing so, only workers with the basic safety training will be able to engage in construction works. Consequently, accidents in the construction industry will decrease, as workers themselves who are at the forefront of the construction worksites are empowered to play the central role in accident prevention activities.

Recently, with the increasing of construction works, large construction equipment are used to reduce the term of work and labor cost in construction field. Therefore, construction equipment noise has caused much annoyance for a number of dweller in nearby construction field and it has become a very serious problem in our living environment. Neverthless, in our country, adequite guidelines for the construction equipment noise are very deficiency because of the lack of basic data and insufficient research works. From this point of view, this study attempts to survey the vertical SPL distribution of piling noise by oil pressure method in construction field. This study also present a basic data found a effective plans for piling noise by oil pressure method.
