  • This study focused on the geographical concepts development and its zone of proximal development(ZPD) through the collaborative interaction. Among the conclusions are: 1) Students who have higher cognitive structure represented the Creator Seoul Metropolitan Area(GSMA) as a geographical concepts, not as a spontaneous concepts. The concepts is developed from concrete facts, subordinate element concept to basic element concept hierarchically. The most difficult concept that the learner should internalize was represented as the basic element concept. 2) Although ZPD of GSMA is individualized, it could be divided into 9 types. The ZPD was developed differently according to the qualitative differences how much more and how systematically represented the geographical concepts. The characteristics shown in this development procedure was that there was a quality change based on quantity extensive.

  • In this paper, we design a environment in computers and mathematics education. For this purpose, we study two different points of view about relations between computers and mathematics education. As theoretical background, we also study constructionism and microworld. Next, we introduce functionization as a basic principle for computers and mathematics education. The concept of functionization focuses on the variation of mathematical objects, and it is a basic concept of both mathematics and computer science. We consider the concept of functionization as a paradigm for the research and practice of the computers and mathematics education. We also present the concept of functionization as a principle for designing a computer environment. Finally, we use the concept of functionization to integrate two famous microworlds, LOGO and DGS by introducing such objects as tiles and folding nets. Combining LOGO and DGS, we design a new microworld that can be used under the internet environment. We present tiles and folding nets to introduce how the concept of functionization is used to design a new microworld and to integrate two microworids.

  • This paper examines the evaluation and categorization of national heritage 'Myeongseung(scenic places)' from the viewpoint of world heritage concept and its criteria. This study focuses on Myeongseung because the author thinks it implies the unique human-nature relationships that have been evolved in Korean Peninsula, and then draws some pending problems with the evaluation of those heritage. Formerly, the paper discusses theoretically the outcome and point at issue on concept, criteria, evaluation of world heritage, and then proposes three issues on the evaluation and categorization of national heritage 'Myeongseung': first, the establishment of basic concept for evaluation of heritage; second, the building of unified criteria list to cover both natural and cultural heritage; and third, the reorganization of categories for the advanced registration and management. Especially, the author emphasizes that it is necessary rather to extend actively the world heritage concept than to regard it as a fixed framework.

  • Purpose : The aims of this study was to provide basic data to enhance the professional self-concept of nurses in intensive care unit and identify the relationship between job stress, working bullying, self-efficacy and professional self-concept and identify the factors influencing professional self-concept in intensive care unit nurses. Methods : This study was conducted from June to August, 2018 at five general hospitals over 500 beds. Structured questionnaire were completed by 120 nurses who had agreed to understand and participate in the study. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS win 24.0 program. Results : Factors affecting the professional self-concept of the subjects were self-efficacy, working bullying, unsatisfaction and satisfaction of nursing job satisfaction, age. The explanatory power of these variables on professional self-concept was 55.1%. Conclusion : The self-efficacy, working bullying, nursing job satisfaction, and age of the intensive care unit nurses were identified as the major factors influencing the professional self-concept. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and apply an educational program to improve self-efficacy and nursing job satisfaction and reduce working bullying, which are influencing factors of professional self-concept of intensive care unit nurse.
