Giuliano Antonini et al.(2008) have introduced the concept of extended acceptability and the results show that the extended acceptability structure has no effect on the exponential inequality except replacing a constant M = 1 with a constant M > 0. We discuss the complete convergence for extended acceptable random variables by using the exponential inequality.

The multimedia documents becomes the most natural user interface for CSCW(Conputer Supported Cooperative Work) in distributed environment. The objective of this study is to propose a multimedia document architecture and to develop a system that can manage it well. The new architecture is for revisable documents and is the basic layer for hypermedia documents. A good document architecture for CSCW must support pointing, marking, and editing over a part of documents. The user views, version control, and full- content search are also desirable features. In this paper, we discuss the basic concept of a new document architecture for CSCW. We also present the user interfaces for spatio-temporal compositions of multimedia documents.

We will introduce our new concept deposition system for SMOLED manufacturing in this conference. This system is designed to deposit organic and metal material to downward to overcome the limit of substrate size and process tact time hurdle for OLED mass production, and is organized with organic deposition chamber, substrate pre-cleaning chamber, metal deposition chamber and encapsulation system. These entire process chambers are integrated with linear type substrate transfer system. We also compare our new SMOLED manufacturing system with conventional vacuum deposition systems, and show basic organic thin film property data, organic material deposition property data, and basic device property.

Conceptually, mechanical port of an electric machine can be doubled and the concept of dual-mechanical-port (DMP) will then give birth to a new breed of electric machines. In this paper, the various possible structures of DMP electric machine are discussed. Basic modeling and analysis issues related to the DMP electric machine are presented. An exemplary design of DMP machine is given and verified by FEM results. Potential applications and future research work are given to conclude the paper.

The dipole method is now popular means for S-wave logging. Essential features of this method are explained, emphasizing basic concept based on approximation of the long-wavelength and the far-field. History of my researches concerned is shortly reviewed as background to reach the idea of this method. Short wavelength behavior of the dipole method is simply reviewed. Methods to reject tube wave noise are commented.

This article discusses at a basic level the of chimney construction. The concept, design, and operation can be understood easily. This, of course, is the first step to orderly construction. The selection of the boiler as to type, capacity, etc., was summarized in brief. The over all planning of the boiler and chimney together was the main object of this article. The architectural books covering this subject are very technical and this article tries to make the understanding of the basic principles more easy for the beginner in architecture.

This paper presents novel single-phase PWM AC-AC converters that can solve commutation problem in single-phase direct AC-AC converter without sensing input voltage polarity. By using the basic switching cell concept and coupled inductor, the proposed converter can be short and open-circuit without damping switching devices. A 120 W prototype is built and tested to verify performance of the proposed converter.
