  • The change in radically changing era requires various interpretation of interior space and application according to it Minimalism shows simple and pure geometric structure and has been influencing to every aspect encompassing space till present. The features of minimalism in space is geometric structure and composition of simple and repetitive line, restrained simple space, pure and structural simplicity. When minimalism construction is discussed, the vocabulary of simplicity has been followed incidentally and has been discussed as concept of simplicity in new viewpoint through historical flow. The purpose of this study is analyzing basic features of John Pawson's ways of working and trying to define the semantics of the new simplicity concept in modern interior space. The new simplicity in John Pawson shows interactive relationship of eastern and western through basic consideration of fundamental elements such as space, light and materials. The relational simple in intermediation of the new simplicity expressed by amalgamation of eastern and western further from disparate interpretation for simplicity expressed in eastern and western is to review back the basic meaning of simplicity in minimalism. And I hope this study can offer various directions for new interior space accepting theory of the new simplicity and I think that new constructional alternative is required as physical space which can be matched with era of social, environmental chaos caused by this theory of the new simplicity.

  • Purpose: This study tried to present basic data for establishment of facility guidelines and facility certification standards for the comprehensive prevention of infectious diseases in buildings. Methods: This study examines the concept of architectural countermeasures for the prevention of infectious diseases through literature reviews, and then classifies and organizes the countermeasures by viewing the infectious diseases hospitals as the top-level facility in terms of responding to infectious diseases. Results: At first, this study categorized and organized infection prevention countermeasures of infectious disease hospitals, which are the highest level facilities in terms of response to infectious diseases. And by presenting the concept of step-by-step setting of countermeasures for general buildings such as welfare facilities and multi-use facilities, which are lower-level facilities in the aspect of prevention of infectious diseases, this study tried to present basic data for establishing facility guidelines and facility certification standards for comprehensive prevention of infectious diseases in buildings. Implications: In the future, it is expected that spatial changes for the prevention of infectious diseases will spread to general constructions such as public buildings, private buildings, and multi-use facilities, and comprehensive infection prevention facility guidelines are needed.

  • This paper describes the geographical and cultural characteristics of Han river and presents a schematic design of outdoor lighting for Han river bridges. Basic design concept for Han river and detail theme for each bridge was developed. With lighting simulation program, lamp, color, and image of bridge in Han river modeled and simulated. Lighting visualizations of the three major bridges were shown and detail design concept for such bridges were introduced.

  • We introduce the concept of multiplicatively closed subsets of a commutative ring R which split an R-module M and study factorization properties of elements of M with respect to such a set. Also we demonstrate how one can utilize this concept to investigate factorization properties of R and deduce some Nagata type theorems relating factorization properties of R to those of its localizations, when R is an integral domain.

  • Over several decades, a hierarchical cancer stem cell (CSC) model has been established in development of solid cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). In terms of this concept, HCCs originate from liver CSCs. Clinically HCCs show a wide range of manifestations from slow growth to very aggressive metastasis. One of the reasons may be that liver CSCs originate from different cells. This review describes the basic concept of CSCs and the cellular origin of liver CSCs.

  • This paper aims to consider the genesis of irrational numbers and to suggest a method for teaching the concept of irrational numbers. It is the notion of “incommensurability” in geometrical sense that makes Pythagoreans discover irrational numbers. According to the historica-genetic principle, the teaching method suggested in this paper is based on the very concept, incommensurability which the school mathematics lacks. The basic ideas are induced from Clairaut's and Arcavi's.

  • In general, the applications of health education in Thailand have developed from efforts to solve the health problems of rural people, who have been under- served by the health services delivery system of the government. The concept of community oriented health education is a basic one and it provides the key to success of the health care program. Community self-reliance is another concept which the program seeks to foster in its many development strategies.(omitted)

  • This study, after careful consideration on Piaget's structuralism, showed the relationship between Bourbaki's matrix structure of mathematics and Piaget's structure of mathematical thinking. This, studying the basic characters that structure of knowledge should have, pointed out that 'transformation' and to it, too. Also it revealed that group structure is a 'development' are essential typical one which has very important characters not only of mathematical structure but also general structure, and discussed the problem that learners construct the group structure as a mathematical concept.
