Persons with sensorineural hearing impairment have troubles in hearing at noisy environments because of their deteriorated hearing levels and low-spectral resolution of the auditory system and therefore, they use hearing aids to compensate weakened hearing abilities. Various algorithms for hearing loss compensation and environmental noise reduction have been implemented in the hearing aid; however, the performance of these algorithms vary in accordance with external sound situations and therefore, it is important to tune the operation of the hearing aid appropriately in accordance with a wide variety of sound situations. In this study, a sound classification algorithm that can be applied to the hearing aid was suggested. The proposed algorithm can classify the different types of speech situations into four categories: 1) speech-only, 2) noise-only, 3) speech-in-noise, and 4) music-only. The proposed classification algorithm consists of two sub-parts: a feature extractor and a speech situation classifier. The former extracts seven characteristic features - short time energy and zero crossing rate in the time domain; spectral centroid, spectral flux and spectral roll-off in the frequency domain; mel frequency cepstral coefficients and power values of mel bands - from the recent input signals of two microphones, and the latter classifies the current speech situation. The experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm could classify the kinds of speech situations with an accuracy of over 94.4%. Based on these results, we believe that the proposed algorithm can be applied to the hearing aid to improve speech intelligibility in noisy environments.
While the concept of involvement has long intrigued marketing researchers, its application to the case of wine purchase behavior has been limited in Korea. In particular, little research has attempted to assess the outcome of the consumer's choice of wine based on the types of consumers(outsider, beginner, lover, specialist) relevant to the involvement. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate how they use different cues to make a wine purchase decision according to the types of wine consumers and in relation to the consumer's involvement levels. A questionnaire was organized and distributed widely to 380 of various wine consumers. 370 surveys were completed and 350 usable data(male: 49.1%, female: 50.9%) were obtained and analyzed with the SPSS package(13.0) program. We found that specialist of wine, lover of wine, and the high level involvement group have significant difference in selecting wine. It is suggested that a wine class program should be offered at a wine bar for newcomers in order to make them more interested in wine and promote various wine marketing events(for example, a music concert at the wine bar) particularly for high involvement level consumers to help increase wine consumption.

In recent years, mobile phone market is saturated in number of user term. Associated service providers struggle to provide various mobile services such as Internet, e-commerce, game, music etc. to increase ARPU (average revenue per user) instead. In this study we explore the factors which affect price tabs of mobile communication. As a conceptual foundation, this study introduces user factors-users' propensity to use mobile phones-as independent variables and mobile service functions as mediating variables. The research model was phones-as independent variables and mobile service functions as mediating variables. The research model was tested with data from Web-based survey of 1,500 mobile users and analyzed by structural equation modeling (SEM). Our results suggest that user factors impact the usage of mobile service functions and mobile service functions for information and convenience are positively related to price tabs of mobile communication. Implications for mobile service providers and policy makers are discussed.
The P2P technology is becoming a technology for receiving a service, such as the latest YouTube and Facebook. P2P technology can be easily downloaded to a large amount of multimedia content over a distributed environment. However, pictures, music, a large amount of multimedia content such as videos each user is unable to manage the content management operating smoothly because, Song communication processing overhead caused when the reception is likely to remain the problem. In this paper, we propose a convergence content management technique that provides a low communication overhead of the frequency of use of the convergence content when trying to provide a large amount of convergence content to users in a distributed environment. Our method can be used to select the appropriate frequency is high among the shared content on the P2P multimedia environments that are distributed across a frequency of use of the convergence content and provides the service. Experimental evaluation proposed method, the convergence content browsing speed than conventional techniques improved communication about 13.3% and reduced overhead to about 9.5%.
The purpose of this article is making investigation of the principal composition of the twin-pagodas in Buddhist temple through ornaments of a case preserving relics of Buddha in the east and west pagodas of Gameunsa temple. This research has an important meaning in clarifying that the concept of placement two Buddhas together with lotus sutra, which was only applied to Bulkuksa temple, has been extended to Gameunsa temple. And this observation gave us a clear explanation for the principal composition at the twin-pagodas in Buddhist temple plans. The author obtained the following conclusion from this article : The cases preserving relics of the Buddha for the west and east pagodas are globally in similar form as the type of a royal palace. But the different points between eastern and western can be seen on the existence of Buddhist statues on the base floor, set-up of the gate at railings, and 4 lion statues at a coner of the base floor. In the western pagoda, there are Buddha statues above the base-floor of the cases preserving relics. These Buddha statues are composed of a boy monks and angels with playing music for the praise of the Sakyamuni Buddha lecturing the Lotus sutra at YoungChui Mountain. On the other hand, in the eastern pagoda, Buddha statues on the cases preserving relics are composed of a the Four Devas and monks as a defending God of the nation of Buddha. In the eastern pagoda, one can see something that does not exist in the western pagoda, which is a gate located in railing of a case preserving the relics. This gate described the scene of the Sakyamuni Buddha entering into the pagoda of 7 treasures. In a corner of the case preserving relics in the eastern pagoda, there is another thing which does not exist in the western pagoda. This is a sculpture of a lion which symbols the seat of Lion supporting the Buddha in the Dabotap(the pagoda of 7 treasures). When we observe the form and structure, the descriptions at the railings, the gate, the shrine, the statue of a lion, and the accessories in jewelries, at the cases preserving the relics in the eastern pagoda, one can realize that they have the same combination structures between the ones at Dabotaps in Bulguksa temple and those in China as well as in Japan, all of which represent the Gyun-Bo-Tap-Pum of Lotus Sutra. Among the distribution rules in the twin-pagodas in Buddhist temple, the application of the ideal of lotus was known to be effected only to Bulguksa temple. But from the result of the present article, it is more clearly proved by applying the Gameunsa temple that the distribution theory in the twin-pagodas in Buddhist temple was in fact based on the ideal of lotus.
The goal of this study was to analyze the demands of parents of an after-school program. In order to do this, we looked at cultural centers and their curriculums. Cultural centers are one of the most popular private education centers for preschoolers, and are used for the operation of special activities. The research was conducted on preschool curriculums of 300 cultural centers, including cultural centers of department stores and supermarkets. The curriculum analysis was conducted for 400 preschool curriculums of three cultural centers, which had the most programs of all. The scope of the curriculum analysis was based on the 3rd Childcare Standard Curriculum for infants and Nuri Curriculum for preschoolers. As a result of the analysis, there were 12,286 programs for infants. The most popular topics for programs were comprehensive activity, physical activity, and music activity. There were 15,310 programs for preschoolers. Physical activity was the most popular topic among them. It was followed by drawing activity and number and operating activity. Analyzing the contents of these programs, we found that 'participating in physical activity' of physical exercise, and 'expressing artistically' of artistic experience were the most popular contents of infants. 'Expressing artistically' of artistic experience and 'control of body and basic exercise' of physical exercise were most popular contents for preschoolers. The results show that parents demand physical activity programs for infants and artistic activity programs for preschoolers. The results of the research should be considered when childcare centers try to make a special after-school program.
This research investigated the relationship among Korean Wave Cultural Contents consumption of Korean food, Korean products, and Learning of the Korean language. The survey targeted non-Koreans who were either interested in or experienced Korean Wave Cultural Contents. Exactly 61.3% of subjects had traveled to Korea. The most common method of experiencing the Korean Wave was via the Internet (57.7%), followed by TV (21.1%) and Mobile (7.7%). The most popular Korean Wave Contents were K-pop (35.2%) and TV Dramas (31.0%). Movies were preferred in the Americas ($3.63{\pm}0.83$) and Asia ($3.63{\pm}1.09$), whereas K-pop was preferred in Asia ($3.68{\pm}1.12$) and games preferred in Europe ($2.50{\pm}1.56$). Regarding Korean food, most participants had tasted Kimchi (81.7%), followed by Bulgogi (74.6%), Bibimbap (66.9%), and Galbi (66.2%). According to the country-by-country survey, in the case of Galbi (p<0.05), Bibimbap (p<0.05), and Bulgogi (p<0.05), Asians had more experiences with Korean food compared to those from other regions. Meanwhile, in the case of satisfaction of Korean food, Bulgogi ($4.22{\pm}1.05$) was ranked highest, whereas Kimchi ($3.85{\pm}1.15$) was ranked lowest. According to the region-by-region survey, those from Oceania and other regions preferred Kimchi ($4.25{\pm}0.71$) and Bulgogi ($4.50{\pm}4.50$) while the Americas preferred Galbi ($4.82{\pm}0.39$) and Bibimbap ($4.54{\pm}0.81$). Bulgogi ($2.76{\pm}0.06$) was highly ranked as a representative Korean Food while Kimchi ($2.44{\pm}0.71$) was ranked the lowest. This research explained that among Korean Wave Cultural Contents, movies and music positively influenced on the 'Image of Korea', movies and K-pop effected 'Purchasing intention of Korean products', and TV Dramas, movies, and K-pop effected 'Purchasing intention of Korean Food'.
Hallyu in Malaysia is considered to be in the growth stage as in countries such as Philippine, Myanmar, Hungary, and Uzbekistan. In the growth stage, Hallyu becomes increasingly popular and familiar to the general public and the sales of Hallyu-related products starts to increase. The purpose of this research is to compare how Hallyu is perceived among Malaysian youths and adults. Analysis is carried out using FGD. The two groups are asked about what they think of Korea and the success of Hallyu, how much interest they have in foreign cultures in general, and how they come into contact with them. Based on these results, problems currently facing Hallyu and possible solutions are examined. The analysis shows that the interest in Hallyu among Malaysians varies according to age and gender. Both male and female participants in their 20's have shown a much greater interest in Hallyu than the participants over 30's. But Malaysians are known to be relatively open-minded about accepting foreign cultures, and this is reflected in the current study. They view the popularity of Korean drama, movies, and music as a trend, rather than being intolerant of them. There is no concern for negativity toward Hallyu in Malaysia, but it is likely that Hallyu may be replaced by another foreign culture unless its influence is constantly maintained in the area. Therefore, it is essential to develop measures and models to not only retain, but strengthen Hallyu's influence.
User experience in web site is beyond Usability, and should be understood in a context. However, the concrete contextual factors of web site experience is not systematically established enough. Therefore, the objective of this research is to establish a framework of mapping experiential context factors with analyzing real web site use cases, and to propose how it is can be applied in the process of web site contents planning. First of all, theoretical framework for the web experience and contextual factors was prepared by secondary research. Second, user experience on music casting sites was collected through web diary method, self-video recording method, and group interview. Then, collected experience was re-constructed with scenarios. Scenarios are analyzed into contextual factors and these factors are categorized, given hierarchies and located into context map. Third, the possibility of applying the context map of web site experience was discussed. The systematical and concrete sample of context map based on practical use cases can be applied in the innovative and cross-genre web contents planning process.

Middle and high school girl students' menstruation characteristics, appearance of menstruation dysmenorrhea, and coping with the menstruation dysmenorrhea were examined in order to give information in instructing girl students about menstruation dysmenorrhea, in delivering health education in the school, and establishing health policy. 970 girl students in middle and high schools in Cheju-do were selected and surveyed using the questionnaire the author developed based on the previous studies. The findings are as follows. First, the age of first menstruation was average $12.9{\pm}1.22$ years. The younger they were, the earlier their first menstruation came. The most common menstrual cycle was such one that continuously irregular from the beginning or that regular and irregular cycle run together. The first irregular menstrual cycle changed regular one within 1 or 2 years. Most of the respondents had normal menstrual cycle of $21{\sim}35$ days and menstruation period of $3{\sim}8$ days. Second, symptom of menstruation dysmenorrhea was orderly; hurt in the underbelly, tired, hurt in the waist, and headache. It was higher with high school students than middle school students. For the most part, time of heavy menstruation dysmenorrhea was the 2nd day after menstruation starts and period of menstruation dysmenorrhea was 2 days. More than the half of the respondents felt that the present menstruation dysmenorrhea was similar with the first one and they felt not comport in daily life due to menstruation dysmenorrhea, and 'hard to live a normal life' was higher with the high school girl students than with the middle school students. Third, how to cope with menstruation dysmenorrhea was enough sleep, relax and rest, taking a hot water shower, listening to music or watching a movie, taking medicine, and doing excercise. Few of the respondents have ever visited a doctor due to menstruation dysmenorrhea, and the reason was mostly irregular menstruation and heavy dysmenorrhea. Forth, when they took medicine due to menstruation dysmenorrhea, they gathered information on the medicine from family members and friends, while extremely low from a pharmacist or a doctor. The most of them have ever took medicine during menstruation once and took standard dose. While excess dosage was higher with high school students than with middle school students. From these findings, a good many girls are experiencing menstruation dysmenorrhea since their first menstruation. To discover early the severely abnormal findings and to treat, more interest from home and school, counseling and sexual education on time, and expert's diagnosis are necessary. Rather than unconditionally taking pain-relievers which can plainly solve the pain, continuous health education at home and in the school should be carried on for the girls to practice proper measures one think effective or an expert recommends.
