A Study on Development of Press Brake by Data-based Servo Control System (데이터베이스를 이용한 서보제어방식의 절곡기 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of t his paper is to database each factors from experimental results and develop the servo-controlled feeding system on these database. At first, spring back and bending farce are analyzed by basic theory of bending processing. In database, through practical experiment by the expert various types of bending angel and thickness of plate are tested and classified with SB34P and Aluminum. For the development of servo-controlled feeding system, automatic feeding system is designed and manufactured with ball screw and LM guide and performance of the developed feeding system is tested under condition of standard machine tool examination. Also, Mechanical consideration of mainframe in press brake, development of controller based on NC, program for servo-control are studied. Finally, based on experimental data, the system is operated and compared with theoretical data

  • A precise tracking control scheme on the system in presence of nonlinear dynamic friction is proposed. In this control scheme, the standard SMC is combined with the nonlinear observer to estimate the dynamic friction state that is impossible to measure. Then this control scheme has the good tracking performance and the robustness to parameter variation compared with the standard SMC and the PiD based nonlinear observer control system. This fact is proved by the experiment on the ball-screw driven servo system with the dynamic friction model.

  • Friction is an important factor for precise position tracking control of servo systems. Servo systems with highly nonlinear friction are sensitive to the variation of operating condition. To overcome this problem, we use the LuGre friction model which can consider dynamic characteristics of friction. The LuGre friction model is used as a feed-forward compensator to improve tracking performance of servo systems. The parameters of the LuGre friction model are identified through experiments. The experimental result shows that the tracking performance of servo systems with higherly nonlinear friction can be improved by using feed-forward friction compensation.

  • In this study, actuator, sensor, guide, power transmission element and control method are considered for ultra-precision positioning apparatus. Through previous process, single plane X-Y stage with ultra-precision positioning is manufactured. Global stage for the purpose of materialization with robust system, is combined by using AC servo motor and ball screw and rolling guide. And ultra-precision positioning system is developed by micro stage with elastic hinge type and piezo element. global servo and micro servo for the purpose of materialization positioning accuracy with nm(nanometer) are controlled simultaneously by using incremental encoder and laser interferometer as displacement measurement sensor. Through previous process, ultra-precision positioning system (100mm stroke and ${\pm}$ 10nm positioning accuracy) with single plane X-Y stage are materialized.

  • Effect of coulomb friction and backlash on the single loop posit ion control has been studied for the precision position control. We studied and showed the limit cycle on the single loop system which used a ball screw that had the backlash. Also, We made an inner loop with a classical velocity and torque controller which was forcing the $i_d$ current to be zero by using a permanent-magnet synchronous motor and composed the outer loop with linear sensor for sensing a position of the loader. We have been shown a good result by using the dual loop through numerical simulation method.

  • This paper presents the structural characteristics analysis of a high-speed horizontal machining center with spindle speed of 50, 000rpm and feedrate of 120m/min. The spindle system is designed based on the built-in motor, angular contact ceramic ball bearings, oil-air lubrication and oil-jacket cooling method. The X-axis and Y-axis feeding systems are composed of the linear motor and linear motion guides, and the Z-axis feeding system is composed of the servo-motor, ball screw and linear motion guide. The structural analysis model of the high-speed horizontal machining center is constructed by the finite element method, and the validity of structural design is estimated based on the structural deformation of the high-speed horizontal machining center and spindle nose caused by the gravity and inertia forces.

  • For precise tracking control of a servo system with nonlinear friction, a robust friction compensation scheme is presented in this paper. The nonlinear friction is difficult to identify the friction parameters exactly through experiments. Friction parameters can be also varied according to contact conditions such as the variation of temperature and lubrication. Thus, in order to overcome these problems and obtain the desired position tracking performance, a robust adaptive back-stepping control scheme with a dual friction observer is developed. In addition, to estimate lumped friction uncertainty due to modeling errors, a DEKF recurrent neural network and adaptive reconstructed error estimator are also developed. The feasibility of the proposed control scheme is verified through the experiment fur a ball-screw system.

  • In this paper, a tracking control problem for a mechanical servo system with nonlinear dynamic friction is treated. The nonlinear friction model contains directly immeasurable friction state and the uncertainty caused by incomplete modeling and variations of its parameter. In order to provide the efficient solution to these control problems, we propose a hybrid control scheme, which consists of a robust friction state observer, a RFNN estimator and an approximation error estimator with sliding mode control. A sliding mode controller and a robust friction state observer is firstly designed to estimate the unknown infernal state of the LuGre friction model. Next, a RFNN estimator is introduced to approximate the unknown lumped friction uncertainty. Finally, an adaptive approximation error estimator is designed to compensate the approximation error of the RFNN estimator. Some simulations and experiments on the mechanical servo system composed of ball-screw and DC servo motor are presented. Results demonstrate the remarkable performance of the proposed control scheme.

The thermal characteristics such as the temperature distribution, temperature rise, thermal deformation and step response, are estimated based on the finite element model of machining center and the heat generation rates of heat sources related to the machine operation conditions. Especially, the thermal time constant assessed from the step response function is introduced as an index of thermal response characteristics.
