The life of a mother undergoes a dramatic change after a child is diagnosed with cancer. The present study aimed to determine effects on the everyday life process and health status of mothers with children suffering from leukemia. This qualitative study was based on a grounded theory approach with sixteen mothers. The results indicate that after onset of disease in their children, they marginalized their own health and tied their identities to taking care of the child and keeping the child healthy by ignoring themselves, becoming imprisoned in a taking-care-of-the-child position, and trying very hard for seek balance and stability Enduring physical pressures on the one hand, and constantly attempting to achieve balance and stability in family processes on the other hand, gradually cause exhaustion. It seems that health care providers and nurses should pay much more attention to the health status of this group of mothers.

Drought is a serious diaster in agriculutre, especially to upland crops. Hence, the Agricultural Drought Analysis Model (ADAM) that is integratable with GIS was applied to analyae agriculture drought in upland. ADAM is composed of two sub-models , one is a Soil Water Balance Model (SWBM) and the other is a Drougth Analysis Model (DAM) that is based on the Runs theory. The ADAM needs weather data, rainfall data and soil physical characteristics data as input and calculates daily soil moisture contents. GIS was integrated to the ADAM for the calculation of regional soil moisture using digitized landuse map, detaile dsoil map, thiessen network and district boundary . For the agriculutral drought analysis, the ADAM adapt the Runs theory for analyzing drought duration, severity and magnitude . Log-Pearson Type-III probability distribution function and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test were used to test the fitness of good of the model. The integration of ADAM with GIS was successfully implemented and would be operated effectively for the regional drought analysis.

It is important to keep learners' feeling positive during learning to enhance learning performance. According to flow theory,challenge-skill balance is a precondition for flow experience: Learners feel anxiety when the challenge of learning is higher than their ability, feel boredom when the challenge of learning is lower than learners' ability, and engage in flow status when the challenge of learning matches the learners' ability. However, the current empirical study reveals that emotions related to enjoyment may appear when the learners' skill is equal to or higher than the learning challenge. Nevertheless, boredom emotion may appear when learners perceive the courses are difficult but unimportant. These empirical survey results revealed the necessary of rethinking the appearance of boredom and enjoyment emotions in computer education.

Natural phenomena were explained and incorporated into the concepts of Yukki(六氣), and Ohaeng(五行, the concept that all matter in the world are comprised of five fundamental elements), during Chon-guk(戰國) and Han(漢) periods. In that period. Kanji(干支, the method to present time with ten and twelve different kinds of symbol's combinations) was used to record Ounyukki(五運六氣). Theoretical study of Un-gi(運氣, the abbreviation of Ounyukki) was almost completed in Un-gichilpyon(運氣七篇) of Naekyong(內經). Un-gi(運氣) theory was further studied and considered to be very important socially, as well as medically, in Tang(唐), Song(宋), Kum(金), and Won(元) periods. Hagan(河間) published various studies based on Un-gi(運氣) theory in Kum won(金元) periods. 2. Hagan(河間) realized the limitation of a remedy method, of Sanghan(傷寒) theory. Therefore, he made an assumption that the prevalence of diseases in his period are closely related to Hwayol(火熱, a fire and a super-heat; two things out of Yukki(六氣)). His new theory was a result of the study on Kyongjon(經典, bibles of the oriental medicine) and the phenomena of nature. 3. Hagan(河間) used a combination of two basic theories of Pimuripsang(比物立象) and Hanhaesungjeron(亢害承制論) to make understood Hwayol(火熱) theory, Pimuripsang(比物立象) theory explains a method to appreciate the essence of things by comparing Sang(象, an expression of how something appears on the outside) and then making another Sang(象) from the comparison. Hanhaesungjeron(亢害承制論) is a theory to emphasize the importance of a balance of Yukki(六氣). It is that, if one of the elements is exceeded, other thing in the other five elements dominate the exceeded thing to control it for the balance between Yukki(六氣). In addition, he articulated P'yobon(標本. inside and outside of a thing) theory to differentiate the disease symptoms. These theories will help to distinguish real and fake symptoms of diseases, on which Hagan(河間) emphasized its importance. 4. Hagan(河間) published a new theory to explain Ounyukki(五運六氣) theory based on the observation of the nature and the experience from medical practice. And he added Chobyonggi(燥病機, course and rule causing disease in dry conditions) to Pyonggishipkujo(病機十九條, nineteen course and rule causing disease), it strengthened Pyonggi(病機, course and rule causing disease) theories. Moreover. he utilized Un-gi (運氣) theory in a real life situation by applying Un-giron(運氣論) to diagnosis like Maekchin(脈診, a method to diagnose by taking the pulse) and to prescription. 5. Modern society is an era in which it is hard to appreciate the principles of the changes due to the various unusual weather. Therefore, it is necessary to make a new paradigm using Un-gi(運氣) theory, like Hagan(河間) did in Kumwon(金元) period. 6. Unusual weather changes and the geriatric diseases such as cancer and diabetes, may have Sang(象) of Hwayol(火熱) theory at the other side. These diseases have been and will create more serious problems in modern society. As a method to solve these problems. it seems to be very important to understand and apply Hagan's(河間) Hawyol(火熱) theory to modern society.

This study aims at the observation of the Real in the Post-Lacanian theory. It is focused on two questions as ideology and fantasy. On this basis Slavoj $\v{Z}i\v{z}ek$ has rearticulated the theory of ideology by reexamining Althusser's version of it critically. The ideology is the logic of fantasy based on the foreclosure. Noise regulation of heavy construction machinery is getting stricter: 3 dB per every 4 year in European community. To meet this requirement many engineers have adopted the enclosing structures with thick absorbing materials and small opening, This increases internal temperature of the enclosure which have engine systems such as electric equipment that are vulnerable to heat, and engine block and muffler that can be regarded as heat sources. So noise control engineers have to consider a coupling problem: combining heat balance and noise reduction. This paper describes this approach by introducing simple heat transfer theory and SEA. The enclosing system of the loader whose enclosing structure consists of two rooms is investigated to show the validity of this method. The results represent that the simple heat transfer theory can be useful to estimate cooling performance when it is linked together by the back pressure theory in duct system. and the radiated noise can also be estimated by the SEA. Therefore a designer can use these approaches to define the opening ratio of an enclosure and the mass flow rate of air considering radiating noise.

In the Nei Ching. the interrelation of Yin and Yang within the human body. based upon a perfect balance and a perfect mutual control. The affinity of Yin and Yang to each other was held to have a decisive influence upon man's health. Perfect harmony between the two primogenial elements meant health. Disharmony or undue preponderance of one element brought disease and death. The interrelation of Yin and Yang in the Nei Ching, had the organic view of the life. The world view of the harmony and balance in Nei Ching shows a unified world view that is symmetrical and in equibrilium in unity and conflict of opposite elements instead of combining with the closely related elements, namely, it is a fact that the life principle of the theory of Yin and Yang in Nei Ching is not the object of the killing and destroying for unity and conflict of opposite elements but the life cycle and life rule for the purpose of achieving the world of harmony, coexistence, and engendering via check and balance as well as confrontation between the opposite elements. In Nei Ching, like this, in the case where all of the antagonistic elements including the antagonism between You and Me, Yin and Yang affirm and tolerate each other, the organic view of the life in which the life of You and Me and the macrocosm is able to be maintained is suggested to the human being at a whole crisis.

This paper presents a simple carrier symmetric method for the voltage balance of flying capacitors in FCMLI(flying capacitor multi-level inverter). To achieve the voltage balance of flying capacitors, the utilization of each carrier must be balanced during a half-cycle of the switching period such as PSPWM(Phase-Shifted PWM). However, the CRPWM(Carrier Redistribution PWM) method causes the fluctuation of flying capacitor voltages because the balanced utilization of carriers is not achieved. Moreover, it does not consider that the load current change has an influence on flying capacitor voltages by assuming that the current flows into the load. To overcome the drawbacks of CRPWM, it is modified by the technique that carriers of each band are disposed symmetrically at every fundamental period. Firstly, the CRPWM method is reviewed and the theory on voltage balance of flying capacitors is analyzed. The proposed method is introduced and is verified through the experiment result.
Objectives : Human body keeps balance through the interaction of various organs, especially the lungs and kidneys are closely connected in maintaining health and preventing disease. This study explores how the lungs and kidneys interact in terms of breathing and fluid balance and aims to find common ground between Eastern and Western medical practices. Methods : Similar explanations related to the interaction between the lungs and kidneys in the physiology and pathology of Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM) and biomedicine were compared. Results : In breathing, the lungs and kidneys work together by adjusting abdominal pressure with the diaphragm and maintaining acid-base balance, and hormones and enzymes secreted from the kidneys significantly affect lung function. This process corresponds to the concept of TKM that the kidneys control the reception of qi (腎主納氣). For fluid balance, the lungs help manage fluid levels through evaporation and sweating, interacting with the kidneys via the Renin-Angiotensin System (RAS), ACE, ACE2 enzymes, and antidiuretic hormone (ADH). This is similar to the theory in TKM that the lungs regulate human fluid (肺主通調水道). Conclusions : This research shows that by looking at the same physiological and pathological processes from different angles, we can reduce misunderstandings between Eastern and Western medicine. It helps improve the understanding of TKM's theories and supports building a unified framework for both medical traditions. Future work should focus on developing compatible theoretical systems across these fields.
